The sizzling, new story by USA Today bestselling author Elizabeth Lynx is a neighbors-to-lover, sports romance that causes fireworks but not how you might expect. What happens when a hockey player buys his very first home only to discover his beautiful new neighbor isn’t so neighborly?
I threw a housewarming party and accidentally blew up my neighbor’s yard. Some hockey players may be known for being rough or partying a lot, but not me. I understood that you have to work hard to make your dreams come true. My dream was to own my own home. And I just made that happen. But I made a mistake and the housewarming party I threw got a little too out of hand. Now my beautiful neighbor hated me. I tried to make it up to her, but that didn’t go well either. Fine. If it’s war she wants, it’s war she’ll get.
Delightful / Hilarious RomCom. Ms. Lynx has once again given us a great read in the Blue Ridge Mountain Hockey Series. The storyline is funny and romantic. The characters are so loveable and their banter had me laughing out loud. Aspen, has recently inherited her grandmother’s home. A home she grew up in since her parents death. The home olds a lot of memories of her grandmother that give her comfort, especially the gardens that were her grandmother’s pride and joy. Emanuel, our hockey player, has bought his first home and invites a couple of his fellow teammates over. Little does he know this night is going to turn his life upside down in more ways than one, especially when his friends' antics get a little out of hand and he ends up blowing up Emanuel’s new neighbor’s yard. From here things get totally out of hand, words and actions twisted around and for us readers the humor and antics grow to a fevered pitch.
I can’t recommend Neighborly Misconduct and the first two books in the series enough. If you enjoy a good romcom, this series is a must.
Emanuel is a hockey player who just purchased his first home in a gated community. One day he invites a few of his teammates and one of them starts shooting fireworks from his front lawn. Luck not being on their side, he destroys his neighbor's front lawn. Lydia's just buried her grandmother, who left her the house and who's yard was her pride and joy. When all is destroyed, so is her confidence in herself to start a landscaping business using the knowledge she learned from her gram. Emanuel will do everything in his power to win her over and claim her has his own. Sweet, sexy, funny story, that will keep you laughing from start to end. What could have happened to Aspen to have him make this life changing decision? You have to read this story and expect the next one to answer the question.
Neighborly Misconduct is a laugh out loud fun time. This was so much fun to read and Book 3 in the Blue Mountain Hockey series. Lydia is a gardener trying to keep her grandmas winning streak alive with the garden contest. Emmanuel is a hockey player new to the neighborhood. And just wait until the sparks start to fly in so many ways between Emmanuel and Lydia. I love this misunderstandings that occur. They keep you on your toes as Emmanuel proves he is a really good guy everyone says he is. There are plenty of giggles to be had in this one with Aspen stealing part of the show. I'm really looking forward to seeing what Aspen gets up to in his book. I could not put this down. You need to read it today.
This is book three in the Blue Ridge Mountain Hockey series, but it can be read as a complete standalone. Emmanuel hasn’t had an easy childhood. He knows the value of a dollar. So, when he buys his first home, he cherishes it. Even for a professional hockey player, he’s careful with his money. It’s not his fault when he invites a couple of teammates over for a small housewarming and one of them decides to fire things up.
Lydia is the victim of Emmanuel’s celebration get together. Her latest venture in life is not only inheriting her grandmother’s house but her prize-winning garden. Now, to figure out how to win this year in honor of her grandmother.
This story is easy to fall into and escape for an evening or two. Emmanuel and Lydia are perfect for each other and even though their romance is fast, it’s fun. I loved the supporting characters and can’t wait to find out more about them.
My goodness did these two have an interesting journey to their HEA! There were "Oh no!" moments in this book, "Oh my!" moments and moments that made me laugh and ones that mad me a little sad. Two things stood out to me whilst I was reading this, the support they both got from their friends and that their connection was strong enough to survive everything that happened, read this book and see what I mean. I am voluntarily leaving this review after receiving an ARC.
This is the third book in the Blue Ridge Mountain Hockey series and it was a cute read. Emmanuel bought the house next door to Lydia. It was one misunderstanding after another for these two. Were they going to work it out or were they going to continue to argue? You’ll need to read this sweet story to find out.
Emmanuel is such a great name for this adorablt sweet hockey player who falls madly in love with the neighbor he thought he hated, Lydia. They are so cute together.
I am getting a bit tired of the "third act breakup," though. Not every romance has to go that route, you know?
The book started with a bang, in so many ways. Then came another bang and suddenly there was love in the air. It was a fun read I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book
