This is a good book for those who want to begin exploring the vast richness of the Bible. Includes insight into the politics of the time of Christ and Jewish feasts and geography of Palestine as well as each of the Old and New books of the Testament. Also includes how to pray with the bible

I'm so glad that Sister Karen Joseph loaned me her copy of this book. By introducing me to it, I further realized this is the type of book that is a must in your home library. It's a wealth of knowledge in one place. It took me a bit to get through it, but I can see referencing it often now going forward.

Good but very basic. An excellent introduction to the Bible, but--obviously--very Catholic in its orientation.
