Learning and Thinking

Rate this book
Illustrates how psychologists have produced a startling array of knowledge about how people act and react in social situations. Social behaviours are affected by thought and emotion, by our cultural heritage, by the groups with which we affiliate, and by our expectations of what is likely to happen when we deal with others.

I learned a lot, but it took me a while to get through. The book was well written and organized, and it was easy to understand, especially because of the glossary. If there was a term I needed defined, I could just flip to the back of the book.

I picked up this book to learn more about psychology, and I succeeded. So I’d say it was a success!

too basic for me and not very authoritative sounding. I'm skeptical of the science behind this as the reference list seems slim. anyway I was looking for texts on developmental psychology that would be helpful for educators and this is more of a cliffs notes undergrad level text. in that respect it was a good refresher.
