It's sad that this book has been lost to time. It was a favorite of mine growing up. It's part of my mother's Easter book collection for no reason other than the fact that it features a rabbit. I read it to my kids on Marathon Monday and again tonight as a bedtime book, and they love it.

It tells a fairly simple and calm story of a rabbit entering a marathon and the officials having to decide whether they should let the rabbit run. Other runners advocate for the rabbit, convincing the officials.

There's the only slightest touch of diversity, which is noticeable in crowded scenes. But that's really my main criticism.
