Being with an older lover is hot on just so many levels... Seiji-kun is a novice manga artist. He's also completely addicted to the body of the incredibly beautiful Sono-san, despite the fact that Sono-san is a guy. Is this love? Along with the title story, one that paints a tale of youth and emotion, this volume is filled to the brim with stories of overwhelming density, including Not Just When it's Convenient and Let's Go Home. A total of six stories in all.
Circle(s): efini Part of the MELT DOWN circle with Reku Fuyunagi.
She writes most of her BL and shotacon manga under the pen name "Ashika Sakura", and writes tame BL and mainstream stories under Sakurako Gokurakuin.
She is most known as the original creator of "Sensitive Pornograph" and "Sekirei", which are now both anime. She seems to be authoring mostly male-oriented work than yaoi these days.
When she presents herself in the afterwords of her comics, she tends to be very shy, embarassed and modest when she writes them, which some fans find humorous because her manga can get very sexual and outrageous.
Gokurakuin is a huge fan of singer, Akina Nakamori.
Okay, so... I had read some of the stories in this manga a while ago, so they obviously weren't new to me. But those were only two, so I didn't know four of them. I'm gonna specify what I thought about each story, so I can rate the whole manga properly.
Sensitive Pornograph: I think this is the one I liked the most. The "angst" is kind of silly, but at least it's a cute story as a whole. 4/5 stars.
Please Kiss Me: Yeah, this one is really silly. I don't know, I guess I didn't like that one character was always hitting the other, although that was supposed to be the funny part of the story, I guess. 3/5 stars.
Adult Issues: Cute one, and maybe my second favorite of the six. I was worried about the age of the boys when they first started "dating", but well, it doesn't seem to be so bad. And they were the same age, so I guess that's not okay? 4/5 stars.
Be More Honest: Okay, this one is absolutely horrible. There's no excuse for the way the "relashionship" started, because one of the characters r*ped the other, and then took photos of him in a vulnerable position without him knowing. And in the end, he was actually in love with him, but didn't know how to say it? Yeah, no. 1/5 stars.
House of the Little White Rabbit: This is another problematic one. It's a very f*cked up situation, but at least I think both parts were consenting. That doesn't make it any less shitty, so I'm gonna give it 2,5/5 stars.
Come Home!: Not much context, one character got a girl pregnant while in a relashionship - I guess? - with the other guy, so that was not cool. They meet six years later, the wife has died in a car accident, and suddenly both boys are together again. They kids were cute, though, and apart from cheating, there wasn't anything too heavy about it. 3/5 stars.
In the end, the rating would be 2,7/5 stars, but I'm gonna make it 3. It's not that bad, but it has some f*cked up things in it.
Content warning: Stories contain graphic sex, nudity, rape, and abuse.
This is a classic BL manga, the title story being adapted into an OVA anime, which I have not seen. However, I liked most of the stories in this collection. It was very pornographic (haha), but that's to be expected with 801 media titles.
This consists of six stories. I won't break them down one by one, but I will say my favorite story was "Non-adult Situations", it was a cute best friends love story. My least favorite was "Indirect Youth", this one had the rape trope that I despise.
I would overall recommend this book. Out of the six stories, I enjoyed four of them. This book might also contain sex between minors, but I don't think it states their age. So, they might be adults. It's a gray area I felt I needed to mention. If the content doesn't bother you, I'd say give it a read.
In the swapping community this book floated around everywhere. Everyone tried to swap it to me and everyone wanted my copy! Mostly PWP, lots of smut and not much else if I recall. In the early days of yaoi before the market was flooded this was a big player. Now, its an early example of what the American market thought the yaoi community wanted to read (sometimes we do, but now we want more-more substance and story)!
Parts of this are good and then parts of it are YIKES.
A compilation of BL manga shorts that definitely contain mature material. Normally I would just 3 star this and move one, but I feel the need to mention: readers beware there is a straight up rape scene midway through the manga that is really> problematic in how it's presented, drawn, and dealt with by the mangaka and characters afterward. The other stories are fine, but woooo that one was NOT for me.
I first read this a decade ago when yaoi was hard to come by, much less good yaoi. So my memory added more story and smoother art than the book has in reality. Still, not bad for a collection of short stories.
Lo leí hace algunos años, me pareció absolutamente genial, este género aunque algo fuerte es muy bueno y la historia de My Sensitive Pornograph por supuesto arrebatadora *w*
Does not live up to the anime in my own opinion. It was quite similar in every manner except that scenes cut off at the wrong moment to immediately move to sexual encounters. Wonderful art.
The art was great! It was good for "hard yaoi", but...I suppose I prefer there being a little bit more story - things were not clearly explained, in regards to how people became couples, etc.
