It's the second day of the school festival and Mikoto is ditching his work and running off to his girlfriend. But his comrades are not about to leave them alone. When their heartfelt reunion is crashed by Tohru and Yuujirou, the seeds of suspicion are planted. Will Mikoto's cross-dressing life be revealed? Will Mikoto's girlfriend discover his dark secret?
I have a real soft spot for the end of this series because not only do we get to see Makoto and Megumi (and subsequently more Mikoto torture), but it's also the end of the school year, and the Princesses have to pick the next crop of Princesses to take the mantel. Not to mention, the whole plot line of the Student Body President election which pits Akira against a new transfer student who slowly realizes the absolute perfection that is Akira and ends up becoming utterly devoted to him. This is just a really fun series.
I liked we finally saw Mikoto's girlfriend (and oh, didn't know she was also from another manga of Tsuda's, I gotta check that one too.) but the second half of the book, the student council election, wasn't as good as the series been this far. It repeated itself too much, could've been trimmed down a little even though it was only the first part of the election arc. Tooru and Yuujirou didn't have much to do here except to be angry, that was a bit boring.
This is truly fabulous. The affection and true character of this volume sheds new light on the series. New characters and new heart the story is building fabulously.
This series gets sillier and sillier as it goes along, but that's quite okay with me! I laughed so hard finishing this today, and I call that a good thing. One volume left, I think.
