About the author

Sujatha was the allonym of the Tamil author S. Rangarajan, Author of over 100 novels, 250 short stories, ten books on science, ten stage plays, and a slim volume of poems. He was one of the most popular authors in Tamil literature, and a regular contributor to topical columns in Tamil periodicals such as Ananda Vikatan, Kumudam and Kalki. He had a wide readership, and served for a brief period as the editor of Kumudam, and has also written screenplays and dialogues for several Tamil movies.

As an engineer, he supervised the design and production of the electronic voting machine (EVM) during his tenure at Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a machine which is currently used in elections throughout India. As an author he inspired many authors, including Balakumaran, Madhan.

Go into this book knowing that this is just a fun read.
வாத்தியாரோட humor எழுத்து நடைக்காக தான் இந்த புஸ்தகம் வாசிச்சேன். He doesn't disappoint. There are jokes in this book that you can draw parallels to some movies like Saroja & Panchathanthiram.

This Aris character. I’m still having a hard time digesting him, he is revolting. It’s hard for me to digest that he expected a 18 year old girl to not feel anything after all the interactions. I don’t think it works like that.

கஸ்தூரி பேசும் கன்னடம் கலந்த தமிழ் சகிக்கவில்லை ! தலைப்பை பார்த்தவுடன் ஏதோ ரொமான்டிக் கதை போல என எண்ணி படிக்க தொடங்கினேன் ! ஆனால் கதை என்னவோ முழு நீள comedy கதை தான் ! நீலாவின் தூய தமிழ் என்னவோ சிரிக்காதான் வைத்தது !

a good entertainer,

more of comic-fantasy, the true story is about drug smuggling which is done in extraordinary writing,all other romance and comedy in the begining is to set the ground for the later. i think the author rushed into the romance part so it is not belivable.

other than that, sujatha as usual has his way of bring the story into a national concern, that's his magic.

The entire book is driven by the fully-fledged, comical, different, charming characters. The protagonist, JoMo, is quiet, modest and simplistic, everything I was not used to from a classic Sujatha protagonist, who is usually outgoing, resourceful and competent. JoMo ends up being hugely dependent on the forces of fate to make even his simple goals come true, something I guess the audience shouldn't learn from him! There were many times throughout where I went "JoMo, my dear, just speak your heart, my man!" :')

Just a lovely, slice-of-life, with wonderful characters who you will fall in love with. It's definitely my favourite from Sujatha!

HUMOR! This story is about four friends (Jomo, Mama, Aris and Kitta) living under one roof in chennai. They start facing problems primarily because of love and how they overcome such problems is the rest of the story. Unlike other stories penned by Sujatha, this story has no spine chilling element. All you'll find in this novel is nothing but humor. Humor runs like a common thread throughout the entire story. For that, but not for anything else, worth reading once!
