Are you fed up with your children yelling at each other?

Have you ever thought that there must be an easier way?

Diane Levy is a highly successful Family Therapist, counselor, parenting coach and speaker. In this book, she presents her bold new approach to parenting with two main aims - to develop emotional independence and to promote self-discipline. She shows you how to raise pleasant children whose company you can enjoy.

With a wise, humorous and accessible writing style, Diane Levy relates stories from raising her own three children to demonstrate the practical details of parenting.

You will find practical information on how to deal with tantrums, sibling disputes, bullying, hitting, teasing, biting, verbal abuse and other unnecessary habits our children seem to adopt. There are strategies for sleep patterns, eating habits, shyness, successful toilet training, promoting problem-solving skills and setting our teens up to become wise planners.

Of course I love you... NOW GO TO YOUR ROOM! is the book you will want to read from cover to cover - and then keep revisiting.

Such a practical book for any parent that I think anyone will take away at some great points they can apply to their parenting. Lots of real life examples also really add to the benefit of this book

This is the second time I have read this book and the advice really makes sense to me, particularly understanding how different personalities influence behaviour. The best bit though is when the author shows you how hard you as a parent work to solve your child's problems and how to change what you do so your child is left to solve the problem with your support.

I really should buy a copy instead of getting it out of the library.

Author could've got the basic message across in a more concise fashion, but the message is a good, applicable one. Have used the basic theories in every day life with much success. For now at least!

Some great suggestions but not convinced by the "time out as the answer to everything" theme to a couple of the chapters. Still a very readable and relatable book.

Practical advice which is firm but fair, mths ideas suggested in the book worked for my two year old without causing too much stress. Easy to read and with dry humour.

achei o livro ótimo! o rompimento emocional, distinção dos temperamentos, o tempo para pensar. claro que não existe receita mágica, mas foi uma ótima ajuda.
