I feel bad giving this book only three stars, because there's really nothing wrong with it. It just wasn't for me. While The Mysteries of Eckert House series was rooted in reality, this is definitely sci-fi and requires a suspension belief that I just couldn't give it.

I read this book because it was my first attempt at reading and downloading a book to my palm pilot. I actually liked the experience of reading a book this way, which surprised me because I didn't think I would, but the book itself wasn't the greatest. The story was kind of cool: boy gets laptop for birthday, boy find out laptop has the ability to make his stories come true, boy uses laptop for personal gain, boy finds out that the powers of the laptop can be dangerous.

So the concept of the story itself was actually pretty cool. But the plot and character development were pretty thin and there never really felt like there was a sense of building to a climax and resolution. The story just kind of ended, which I'm sure is because this book is from a series and the author wants you to keep reading. I personally will not be continuing with this series.
