Storm Over Morocco is an interesting read as an adventure and an insight into the Moroccon culture of the '70's if that interests you. In some ways Frank Romano's naivete in light of his education and place in society is hard to believe and knowing what we do now of the extreme Muslim movement it is quite incredible that he was able to escape and to tell this story. He does seem to be a bit of a lost soul searching for "truth" as many did in the 70's with some finding it in strange religious cults and others in drugs. It is a testament, though to Romano's search for peace not only in himself but for mankind that this tome was not written in a bitter voice but in one of enlightenment. It could be a good read for all of us, particularly as we become more and more close minded about religion, from all sides.

This was a very intriguing book in which the author has penned his personal experience of traveling as a young student to Morocco in search of the source of meaning in human existence.
Although it is a bit new-agy and self absorbing I felt it was enlightening and helped me to understand the basic concepts of Islam.
