The book began in 2003, with a four-hour performance when artists, theorists, scientists and brilliant minds from many disciplines were reached on the telephone and asked several questions, such as, "What could be the task of art today?" "Can we wake up?" "Considering the situation in the world today, what can we do together to construct a horizon of hope?" and "What does it mean to be a blond woman?" Since then, the conversations have been a source of inspiration, encouragement and stimulus for the participants; now, by being included in this book, they are sure to inspire, encourage and stimulate the readers.
