So that was a big swing and a miss from the Loki series for me. It was almost a non story really, with Wolverine pointlessly thrown in for no other reason I think than they could say 'featuring Wolverine' in the description of the comic. I think it would have been better if they had focused a little more on the story Loki was telling, but because they switched too much to his 'interview' in the prison, we were basically just lead quickly into a seemingly irrelevant fight with non-characters. The only thing that salvaged the comic was the end, leading up to lots of possibilities.

It's a real shame, as some of this series has been really good. I hope for better next time

I mean I’m bummed that these comics are over and that Loki never gets a really long arc but DAMN the lead into the next Marvel event is really good in here....

"I am Loki, God of Outcast. They see themselves in me and I in them. All of us, alone together. It's why my stories always end with someone trying to put me in a box. And begin with my spectacular escape".

I'm sorry this ended so soon, but it ended well. I'm never sorry to have spent a few hours with Loki, in the Marvel universe or elsewhere.

"recently, Loki made a deal with children of eternity the guaranteed him a life full of stories- more stories than time as we know it would normally allow. and when that life finally does draw to a close, he'll have a hero's death to seal it. But as any god of Asgard knows, death is only the beginning. And now the way is open for the god of stories to explore further than he ever has before- even across time itself."
Interesting setting to put Loki in, I don't know- does he want a hero's death?

"If I was churchgoin' , I'd have a guess as to who you really are."

"Who can say? maybe there's a bounty you don't know about. Maybe it's an old grudge, and I'm using you. Or maybe, for the first time in a long time... I'm one of the good guys.
Wait. None of this happened, did it? You're lying.
Am i? Because here's the rub. I happen to believe I'm telling the gods' honest truth. and if my own memories are no longer distinguishable from lies... then I fear our marvelous universe is well and truly broken. " ♥️

"Loki the God who fell to earth. Epilogue: the exit interview."

"It's my fault, naturally. I meddled with forces beyond even my comprehension. As I do.
I have a million questions. Why is your prison jumpsuit green?
I like green and I have magic powers.
I thought supervillains powers were neutralized in the raft.
Then I must not be a super villain. And therefore by its own rules, prison built for supervillains cannot hold me. Don't tattle.
Then why are you still in here? For that matter, why am I in here? you call me up out of nowhere and say you have one last story to tell and it's a western?
People like westerns.
Not for about 50 years.
take a closer look at what's dominating the box office. They're essentially the new westerns. although, there's probably some Bible story stuff mixed up in there too, knowing the audience.

"Are they, though? This is how my story always ends. I am me. I did what I always do. For the reason I always do it."
I love how Loki is a character you can use to make a whole comic run that is pretty damn good and the main point of the story we're tackling is merely his character
Yes there is plot to it but it's mainly purely about his character, it's all around him

"The man from upper north. The man from up my %, more like.
They say he can't be killed by bullets!
They say he can't be killed, period.
How about we quit flappin' our gums and knock off the tall tales?
Well if that's not my cue, I don't know what is."

"A jack of all trades, but I've been a queen on occasion. And the joker, of course. Though I resent the comparison. and if I play my cards right, I'll be a king before it's all over. Who I am at the moment, however, is a bit unclear. I get the feeling that my deck has recently shuffled. Maybe a few extra cards snuck in." Very queer coded

"Dios Mio! It's him! You just shot the devil himself! The man from up north!
Oof. I'm from farther north than you can imagine."

His entire monologue in the mail thingy is quote worthy
He's dealing with identity, his memory twisting things

"why do I get the feeling that they started out as a different story entirely?
Who can say? Stories don't belong to us.
you can say! You're literally the god of stories!
Am i? These days, it feels a bit more like the stories are controlling me. Besides, the label never really struck, did it? Labels never do."

"A lie is a story, yes. But I remember the first lie I ever told. Which means before i was a liar, I was something else. Cast out. Out of kingdoms. Families. Universes. Again. And again. And again. I am Loki. God of outcasts. They see themselves in me, and I in them. All of us, alone together. it's why my stories always end up with someone trying to put me in a box. And begin with my spectacular escape. "

"Verity Willis. Human lie detector Loki's-- wait, this can't be right-- friend?"
"Loki laufey/odinson. Prince of escapes. God of outcasts."
I love that he's been talking to verity this entire time

"Loki why am I really here?
Because... I missed you and I thought I needed to do something dramatic or you wouldn't come.
Loki. Stop talking. because here's the thing-- I just read back my notes, and everything you've been telling me is true. Like it became true as you remembered it. What does that mean?

"I was wrong, verity. Our story is far from over. Well? Care to join me?"
He's so dramatic<3
"The end." And it's erased, nice detail

This was a mess, thanks to Marvel cancelling the series.
But there were a couple of great quotes so here they are:

"This is how my story always ends. I am me. I did what I always do, for the reason I always do it. I was only trying to help."

"A lie is a story, yes. But I remember the first lie I ever told, which means before I was a liar, I was something else. Cast out. Out of kingdoms, families, universes. Again, and again, and again. I am Loki, God of Outcasts. They see themselves in me and I in them. All of us, alone together. It's why my stories always end with someone trying to put me in a box. And begin with my spectacular escape."

More of a connection point--a segways to another story--and a re-introduction of an old character from the "Agent of Asgard" series.

Now I’m just sad, especially after reading the Letters page. This series set up so many great storylines and got canned before any of them could be explored. Why you gotta be like this, Marvel?

Definitely wish this was longer & a little lost as to why Wolverine is constantly thrown in with Thor/Loki stories...?

Of course the series was canceled with a great cliffhanger. So...will we see this followup up at all?
