It’s 4 little old ladies whose husbands have all died.., and they are lonely and want male company. Well they decide to share Anson.

Rose loves right by him and they fall in love.... and of course there is jealousy.

Spoiler

Grace - one of the sisters kills Anson kinda by mistake because she is in the beginning of Alzheimer’s . And they let him bleed to death which they rule as bad luck.

I feel like I needed more depth to Louisa the granddaughters story and what ever happened to her and Dwight the guy she liked. I wished that the book ended with the little boy who comes back like 10 years later to reunite with Rose. The story didn’t make sense for Nicholas and his mother Amy.

And June - what was the point of her.... she was more like a tag a long old lady.

Fast read.

This was a sweet story. Some elderly friends who have been together since they were children are talking about a widower ~ a man that they grew up with. They all miss their old lives, their husbands and the times when life was so much easier. They decide to share the time they have with the widower. But they have rules about the arrangement. When one of them doesn't follow the rules; something happens. The truth about the mystery is never revealed until nearly the end of the story.
