Great for beginners. I purchased these for my first deck, and now I am hooked. Amazing cards that are very accurate no matter what the situation, with beautiful, inspiring art work! I love these cards, especially the wolf ones.

The guide book is very helpful with spreads inside, black and white photos of the cards and their meanings, so you don't have to have your cards with you while reading.

These cards are very uplifting and inspiring, as I have found with other oracle decks of Lucy's. They are great for any age and person, even the none-believers - as I was before using them.

The cards themselves are thick - very good quality! They are glossy though not to the point where you are dropping them in every use, and they do not stick together! They are big cards, though I only have weak, small-child-like hands and manage easily to shuffle them.

Recommend to anyone who loves animals!

I fell in love with that deck since the moment I met it, back in 2017. Now, I proudly own a physical edition. The cards are bigger than a regular tarot deck, although its not a tarot, but an oracle, and the illustrations are beautiful. The guidebook has a explanation to each card, and is very interesting in content, because it focus not only on the deck, it has more story to tell the reader.

I won these fortune/tarot card via goodreads First Reads.

I admit I did enjoy the cards, the animal artwork is amazing, but I'm not a huge fan of the "Bratz" feel to the women on the cards. I personally don't see the fascination with the girls having huge heads and eyes. I was also not very impressed with the way the book was set up. First off I expected the cards to be connected by more than card #1 or card #27. I thought these cards would have more of the typical tarot card feel, like houses, but I understand why they were set up this way. These animals aren't really connected they are just there to help a reader or user to find their familiars. But I don't know. It just seemed a little sloppy in my opinion. Though beyond those few points I do believe these cards would be a great way for young adults to branch into the tarot world. Familiars are a basic magical element and what better place to start out than discovering your familiar or animal totem.

Oracle Shapeshifters: Mystic Familiars for Times of Transformation and Change is a great deck but it definitely has its flaws. Art appreciation is a matter of opinion and just because I didn't like this set of card doesn't mean you won't love them.

A beautiful boxed set, the artwork is amazing! I enjoyed the book that came with the cards as well.
This is a great beginner set and would make a wonderful gift.

I was one of the lucky few to receive a complimentary set from GoodReads FirstReads and the author.
