The sequel to Blizzard Crossing.
This one is written from the perspective of several people instead of just Brianna and Arin, who were the main characters in the first book.

It still tells the story of Brianna and Arin, but they aren't the only main characters anymore, which took a bit of getting used to, since there are several characters written into the story as you progress. There are a few gaps/speedbumps in the story, but nothing too serious.
I loved learning about all of the characters and their journey into a realm unknown to them.

Can't wait for the third book to be published!

OMG!!! This author did it again with another fantastic book it was a page turner and the suspense was wild crazy!!! I was at the edge of my seat and I could not stop reading it or put it down not even for a second. The world of Aorel had a lot of mysteries darkness due to threaten things in their path for Bri and Arin as they had a romantic chemistry that was magical and their attraction was like extraordinary of powers together. Based on some many cursed that was going to be blessed. And they journey through the forest they have reveal or unreveal the past of their families as they had the cross over the many lands of danger all around them and rest of the people that were with them. Their were many dark secrets that will destroyed their world with betrayal, truth, braved people as they embark on their journey from beyond. Will everything be good for all of them could it be happily ever after ending? I highly recommend this book because it going to blow your mind you will not be disappointed at all.

This is a fast read for any lover of magical worlds. The dogs, Willow and Rosie, are as always a big favorite. Arin and Bri are still falling for each other as they try to unravel what’s happening. Adding in Misha as a main character was a nice addition.

I didn’t love this one as much as I did the first. There were places the author would skip a few days time and it wasn’t made clear how much time until later than I felt it should have been. The story also gets substantially more complicated with the realm of magic. That’s fine with me and expected in a second book in a series, but some of it could have used more explanation. The same goes with some of the references from the first book. If I hadn’t just recently read the first, I might be confused. For example, Freddie is referenced several times but no real explanation is given to who she was in the first book. She’s actually referred to as he at one point.

All that said, I will definitely continue reading the story to find out what happens.

Wow! This is the first from this author that I have had the distinct privilege of reading, and I have to say, I am beyond impressed. Not what I would typically consider as paranormal, but so much more. Definitely a tale that requires you to let your imagination run wild as the possibilities are extreme. From the beginning to the very end, this book held my attention! It has an appropriate amount of intrigue, a bit of romance from a couple of sources, and is so perfectly paced and thought out that the reader can't help but delve right in!
Ms. Lund certainly has an extreme imagination and she makes sure that she's brought us along for the ride! And what a ride it is!
I love the variety of characters, from Misha, who appears to be the meek and mild, Gabriel, on a mission of revenge, to Bri and Arin, both with missions unknown but an invisible tie that brings them together. And lets not forget "the girls", who have a formidable bond with them all.
A wonderful change from the "normal paranormal"!
I was gifted a copy of this book and am giving my honest opinion.

This book could REALLY REALLY benefit from adding chapter titles of some sort. It jumps around so much between characters, sometimes flashing back into the past and its frustrating at times to have to figure out where we are and which character we are with. I kinda feel like the series so far is a little slow, and a bit like book 1 and 2 could have been one book together, but it is an interesting story and I loved it overall. The characters are starting to find their place, and are on their way to discovering more about themselves and each other. There's magic, a little bit of light romance, unknown enemies, ghosts, and curious creatures including this rare breed of dogs that everyone is infatuated with. The second book ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, or maybe more like an interesting revelation. I am looking forward to the next book to see how things play out! 4⭐'s!

Will You Die Well?

Death comes to us all: to those who merely wait and to those who fight it tooth & nail; in the end, we're grist to its mill. The bigger question isn't whether we'll die, nor even when, but how? Will it be painless in our sleep, or excruciating and long drawn out from metastasized cancer? Will we be poisoned, shot, stabbed, bombed, electrocuted, or maybe die from a drug overdose? Regardless of our own futures, I'm sure the victims in this novel had no idea of their own fate.

There are intricate plot twists which are yet to be explained, but I won't spoil this novel nor future novels by providing details. I love this series, it's been engaging since the very first page of the first book and has kept my attention to the last word of this one.

Book two of the Borderland Guardian series was a great read, and better than book one in regards to character and world building. While I didn’t feel that Blizzards Crossing had enough detail or enough of a plot arc, Beyond Aorel definitely does.

I felt like the author did a good job of giving us Misha and Gabe’s backstories. And their storyline is certainly interesting and action packed. I definitely want to know where their storylines lead and more about Misha’s powers. Plus what exactly is going on with Bri? Need to know more!

Beyond Aorel does a good job of getting you invested in the story and wanting to read the next book. Definitely a book worth reading!

Beyond Aorel Book 2

The guardian, the strange woman who was brought into his world with her 2 very special dogs are leaving the sanctuary of the world he has been trained to protect. They take a young girl with them but don’t know about her special talent. Each of them will face some challenges and learn something new about themselves. More questions than answers. If they survive this challenge they may discover something about themselves that will test them. I can’t imagine what book 3 will bring, but I am ready for it.

Great Book #2 in the series,This complements "The Blizzard Crossing" perfectly. The Evolution of Bri since her crossing into a new world is astounding ,and her Friendship with Misha blossoms as Misha Grows beyond her Aunts nastiness ,and leaves AOREL with Bri and Arin. The Characters and World building are excellent. I am an Honest ARC reviewer this series so far is an awesome story-line of Fantasy and dark magic.

This story picks up from where “The Blizzard Crossing” left off. Interestingly we are given some insight into Misha and her situation. Misha works for her aunt in a bar and dreams of a better life for herself, but why does she keep seeing things? When she joins Brianna and Arin they are in for some adventures. I really enjoyed reading about this other land and enjoy the well crafted characters.

This was a very interesting book, but I also was often confused and had to go back and try to figure out who was talking or whose POV I was currently reading about. There was a lot of jumping around! Inspite of the confusion, it still was an interesting dark fantasy. This book was much darker than the preceding book which I loved!! I am anxious to read the next book to see what questions are answered and where the story goes from here!!

Beyond Aorel is a spellbinding continuation of the Borderland Guardian Series. I loved learning more about the characters and just how powerful they can be. I had so many questions at the end of The Blizzard Crossing, and while not all of them were answered, certain aspects were revealed that drew me into the story even more. I can't wait for the next book to be released so I can find out even more about the world and the characters in it!

This is the second book in the series. It continues the story from book one. I can't think of anything that wasn't well done. The plot, world building, well developed characters, etc. are all excellent. I can't wait for the next book! I volunteered to read an ARC of this book. I am voluntarily leaving this review.

Another well-written volume in the Borderland Guardian Series. Lyssa Lund further develops the characters from book one and introduces new friends and not a few enemies. All in a magical, mystical world. An enjoyable read every step of the way.

I received and advance copy of this book and leave my voluntary review.

Courageous choices Turn friends into family

This adventure tells the stories of three strong, independent characters who find the courage to leave their homes and travel dangerous roads to find new freedom. The author deftly explores themes of love, family and loyalty, alongside magic and mystery. Both teens and adults will appreciate this well-paced adventure story.

I think the characters are gold, and there's so much potential; it's got a great plot. But this story feels so rushed. The transitions can be a bit choppy, and the story could be expanded to its benefit.

Paranormal story telling that rocks

Absolutely loved the story. Misha coming into her own. Gabe and his story added to the while. Bri and Arin hit a few bumps, will hit more but I can't wait to read how they handle it.

I was excited to read this after the first in the series was so good. It took me a bit longer to read as it went a little slower than the first. I still have questions about where the characters are and have been. I guess I have to wait for the third

This is book two of this series, told in third person POV and leaves you with a HFN ending. It isn’t stated (to my knowledge at this time) if this is a standalone or recommended to read this series in order or not. I do believe this can be read as a standalone, as it does, explain briefly the events from book one when needed. Although, in my opinion, it is more enjoyable if book one is read first.

This was an interesting addition to Bri and Arin’s adventures. There were multiple times throughout that I thought would be confusing, especially for those who have hearing accessibility features/apps. There seems to be no indication for time and/or scene changes (at the time of this review). There isn’t an indicating factor letting people know that one event ended and another began. An example is when Arin was I the room talking to Gabe, but the next second, Arin is walking the street heading to a different location. It seemed like their conversation wasn’t quite done to me Arin was on the street walking.

Regardless, I enjoyed this story and more answers for Arin, Bri and Misha. I enjoyed learning more about Misha and Gabe while watching their relationship unfold. I’m curious to see how everything is revealed. I received an advanced readers copy. These thoughts and opinions are my own.
