Star Struck

Rate this book
This is a fun and funky series charting the hopes, dreams and schemes of the lively, loveable Lucy - wannabe fashion designer and Stand Up Babe. Girls everywhere will identify with her bra-size embarrassment, parent troubles, best-friend dilemmas and secret crushes. Lucy and her Best Friends Forever, Jules and Tilda, answer an ad in a local paper calling for extras to appear in a new film. Once they are chosen, Jules and Tilda try desperately to get their photo taken with the film's star, whilst Lucy decides it's a great opportunity to get her dress designs noticed, but will the director see it that way?

It’s really difficult to know how to rate these. Do I go on how much I enjoyed it as a kid? This time reading it? Nostalgia? It was fun anyway.

Беше смешно в началото, когато Луси чакаше отговор дали ще участва в филма Прегрешения от страст, защото тя не разбра че майка ѝ прави ирония и затова Луси е малко глупава

Another forced read situation where I had nothing to do and this was one of the books around me.

This is a pre teen book but the plot was surprisingly engaging. Recommended for pre teens

It was too cute! There were times that I was so proud of Lucy, like becoming a wardrobe assistant and there were times like everyone seeing her knickers.... Also, I think that her mom is really growing into an independent woman and not letting her dad push her around. Another thing to think about is Jules and Tilda. Tilda doesn't really have much presence in the book; she's more referenced than present. I guess it's because of her not wanting to be a part of the rivalry that Lucy and Jules set up for each other. Jules wasn't really BFF material in certain parts, like the "Stolen Glance scene" incident, when all Lucy was trying to do was help her! Oh, and remember the Simon thing? What was really funny and just kind of dumb was how she couldn't figure it out....In the end, I really liked this book because of it being about acting and Lucy Jessica Hartley, who's really hard not to love and root for, even in her dumb moments...

So far it is really good! My favourite part is when she is excited for the main part of the play and ends up being Urchin 12!!
