I will be more joyful

Joyce Myers did an awesome job in writing this book, I've learned a lot and hope to use it in my battle. I'm a Christian but I've had so much depression in my life. I've been wanting to get off my medication and feel this is what God wants me to do too. I'm going to do it and I'll use the Word to help.
This is a really informative book and a fast read, it's something I've been trying to do with my life for quite a while. You will learn a lot

This is short book but packed full of helpful information for over coming depression. It is short but not an easy read, some of the things she says, while true, are hard to hear. Being so quick I will read it again and again as needed, especially the scriptures in the back.

I had to stop reading

I looked forward to reading this book because I wanted to read how scripture could be used to support someone dealing with depression. But after reading about 75% of this book, I’m convinced this author does not understand what depression is. From various passages in the book, she seems to equate depression with being sad or disappointed. Clinical depression is so much more than that.

I was particularly troubled by one passage in which the author says that depressed people want others to be depressed and that joy irritates them. Actually, most depressed people want an end to their suffering.

Great book to read and reread whenever someone battling depression or have a down casted spirit. Great scriptures to quote that speaks life to one soul when feeling down in the dumps. I suggest reading it over and over then you’ll get the revelation

This book I have found to be very interesting. I will read it again to dig deeper into it. I would tell other people in my PTSD group about it.
