This was an excellent booknwhich kept me wanting to find out what would happen next. Its a great read for those children in ks2 as an independant read or even a class book. It can be used to teach children the importance of never giving up and always trying hard, given that the characters in this book faced many trial and errors and yet never gave up their mission. It can also be used to teach children how to develop investicative skills.
My daughter Grace reads and reads, and I've been trying to find some material for her that I approve of which will also interest her. This is the first Helen Moss adventure book I have read, but it was interesting, and reminded me of Enid Blyton's adventure books. Portrays parents and authority figures well. Good clean fun, and no silly boyfriend / girlfriend stuff, which I really don't want to introduce to my daughter's world at this stage.
This book wasn't as good as the others in the series. It wasn't the most tense one too. It's like everything falls into place in the last minute. I am quite disappointed that there wasn't a good cliff hanger and there wasn't a very clear climax.
