Sapling's Depth is the 3rd novella in the Biokin Chronicles, you need to read these novellas in order as they tell a story about our two main characters, Addi and Mila, and their journey to find answers and Mila's sister. Addi's the voice that we read, and we can start to see how much Mila means to her and how jealous she gets when someone from Mila's past comes into the mix.

I loved how this novella was written, making it very easy to read. I loved every second of it and again wish it wasn't so short.

I can't wait for number 4!!

Thanks to Spencer Rose for a copy of the ebook. This review is left voluntarily.

Another installment, another planet in Sapling's Depths, this time with mysterious deaths and intrigue! We also get new side characters here, what with being on a new world, including someone from Mila's past. This gives more insight into her character than we've had before and helps to round her out, which is great. Addison also gets some growth here, becoming a bit more worldly, and both young women start to realize the depth of their feelings for each other as well.

Sapling's Depths does end on more of a cliffhanger than the first two, which I thought was a bit unnecessary, and I don't think I enjoyed this part of the story quite as much as the other two, although I'd put it ahead of both in the quality of the writing itself. Still a great YA sci-fi, and worth the read if you've already read the first two (if you haven't go read them first, then come back to this).

I received a free ARC from the author, but my review is unbiased and left voluntarily.

Of course it ended on a cliffhanger 😩 Like the past two books, this one is as entertaining even though it was short and fast paced. Finally, Mila and Addi met eye-to-eye and realized their feelings for each other. That was such a slow-burn! I almost thought both of them will end with some other people. But I wonder how their relationship will go on the next book.

I was lucky enough to be selected as an ARC reader for this book so I received a free copy of the book in exchange for my honest review

Well, what can I say about this? If you’ve seen my reviews for books 1 &2 you’ll know that I loved them. This series is gripping and whilst being novellas they’re short, the author doesn’t leave out any of the details.

The development of the characters over the three books is great and it was interesting to see how the bond between Mila and Addi has grown. The book was labelled as being a sapphic series however I haven’t seen much of this as of yet, despite the main characters having mentioned an interest in women you do not really see anything until this book and even then it’s very limited.

Overall I did really enjoy this book again, the authors writing is great and I would recommend this to my fellow readers.

The third novella in The Biokin Chronicles by Spencer Rose, Sapling's Depths, finds our girls on a resort planet gathering intel against Evo while becoming embroiled in an illegal drug distribution mystery. We meet new characters, including one from Mila's past. Jealousy, revelations, and danger make this installment even more exciting than the last. The relationship between Mila and Addi continues to grow as they face another close call with Evo. Action, suspense, and character dynamics keep me engaged throughout, and I am looking forward to the last chapter of our saga. I have a feeling I could enjoy reading a whole lot more of these two and their adventures.
I recommend this fun, quick series.

Book 3 was a cute read as we start to see development from that SLOW burn. And when I say slow I mean snail pace. That said it makes sense for the characters and anything quicker wouldn’t have really made sense. I will say that this is when having multiple POVs is nice cause you can see the development of relationships on multiple sides - even if that can be a little repetitive some times. The change of scenery is nice as Addison explores more of the universe. That said this one is still 8/10. On to book 4.

Spencer’s writing style has drastically improved since the first of this series. It’s truly amazing to see the character development and ever-growing world. These books are quick, easy to read novellas that leave you on the edge of your seat wanting more.

This book takes place on yet another new planet as Addi and Mila attempt to make contact with the Evo employee that has been funneling data out of the company. As always, hijinks ensue causing delays and arguments.

With each book, Mila and Addi add more members to their ever growing family of Evo rebels. I truly am so excited to see if this family is ever fully united in the battle against capitalistic monopoly.

Thank you to the author, Spencer Rose, for my advanced copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.

Adventure continues

Nice progression of the overarching plot line, and character development. Well I’d still like more meat on the book bone, these are well written quick reads.
