A long and confusing road to HEA
Connor wants Sam, needs Sam, but doesn't think he can have her, so we begin with this difficult pull her close, push her away thing that both has me proud of Connor for not just taking advantage of her feelings for him for some quick sex, but equally hating him because how can they test these feelings and allow them to become more if he walks away. Happily once he convinced himself he can have her and actually goes after her, he is all in and completely solid in his love for her...so he redeems himself.
Whilst the baby doll/daddy kink is not for me I enjoyed the rest of their journey and Sam's stubborn ways. They are a great couple who only grow closer with each hurdle they face

Rather than competing with the legacy of her father, who had died in the line of duty, firefighter Samantha 'Sam' Holland joined a fire department in South Carolina.
Two years ago, despite Sam having hired a bodyguard to watch over her younger sister, Alisa, had been kidnapped. The kidnapper had taken and murdered their mom early in his "career". He had planned the same fate for both Alisa and Sam.
The girls had always been told that their mom had just walked away and left them. Sam wants some answers about their mom. Since she can't ask her dad, she goes to the next best source, his best friend, Fire Captain Connor Yates. Connor says his friend probably knew something had happened to his wife but wouldn't let himself believe it. He held on to the hope she'd return.

I loved this book.
I love age gap stories and hot alpha bossy men .
Sam has had a crush on Connor for a while but didn't take it further due to the fact that he was her dad's best friend but also because he is the chief of the fire department.
Sam is a fire fighter and moves away to start her career in another fire house. Ses beautiful and stubborn and wants to forge out her career on her own terms .
Connor has had feelings for Sam for a while but she is his best friends daughter and out of respect doesn't take things further his best friend died many years ago and he's always kept tabs on Samantha but one kiss after Sam's sisters wedding and all bets are off even though at the time he fought it and even told her it was a mistake months later he can't stop thinking about her and finally desides to set things right.

Samantha (Sam) and Conner both hide their feelings very well. Neither would know the other is even attracted to them let alone harbouring deeper feelings. Both believe a relationship other than friendship is taboo, not only because of their age difference, but also because of his friendship with her late father. Sam and Connor are both stubborn and determined to deny their feelings even to themselves, but the heart wants what the heart wants. With the added incentive to return to Maine because of her sister’s pregnancy, Sam can’t deny how she feels when Connor comes calling and makes his claim on her. They have a lot to work out in order not to jeopardize their careers and alienate family and friends. In addition, someone makes it known that they are not happy that Sam is back in town. Connor is determined to keep her safe.
The characters and their story were fascinating and captured my attention from the first page. I like a little angst, steam and mystery with romance, and this book delivers that. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I’m a big ol’ sucker for an age-gap or dad’s best friend romance. I really enjoyed this one. I appreciated that it wasn’t super angsty. I will put down a book if it’s gets to be too much angst, but it really only felt angsty in the beginning… but what it did have was some drama!
I really loved both the MCs and they were steamy as heck together, I even dug the daddy/baby girl talk during the smexy times 🪭
I think the only thing I would change in this story would be to make it a little longer. I wanted to read more about the two of them together 😉

Another great short, and steamy forbidden romance from Bella!
Cooper was such a sexy mc. I loved his possessive and daddy vibes. The spice and chemistry between him and Sam was H. O. T.
He was battling his feelings for Sam and his loyalty to her late father, who was also his best friend. After he kisses her one night, he runs off, but not before saying it was mistake.
Sam, who I really enjoyed, has had a crush on her dads best friend for years and was crushed when he walked away after their kiss.
But it’s been a year and neither have moved on from that kiss. When Sam’s sister reveals she’s pregnant, she wants Sam to move back home so she gets Cooper to help her to convince Sam. Which gives Cooper the perfect opportunity to go get his girl and bring her home!
I’ve enjoyed every book I’ve read by Bella and can’t wait for more!

She leaves after her father dies on the job and because of her crush on his friend and that one kiss. A year later, her pregnant sister asks her to come home to help and Connor has finally decided he wants Sam, too, so back she comes and now she might be in danger.
Loved all the characters, co-workers and families as they all fit together well, except for the two problems. Backstories and twists keep the pages turning and the tension with two women get interesting. The storyline has a good pace, with drama, secrets, revelations, steam, entertaining situations and more. I loved Saving Sam by Bella Lane. Sam knows her crush on Connor is wrong. He’s older and her fathers best friend. She’s spend years running from him. One kiss and Connor can’t get over Sam. It’s been a year. He’s ready to claim her forever but someone doesn’t want Sam home. This storyline was great. A little bit of drama and lots of streamy scenes. I loved the characters. Older man and younger woman. Love doesn’t know age. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

Women shouldn't have to go through this but some do when working in a man's profession. Samantha or Sam as she is called is a firefighter and has been for a few years. The men don't make it easy but she perseveres. Connor was her dad's best friend and is a fire chief in another place. He has loved and looked after her, but becof the age difference he has stayed back. But now he's going to show her just how ge feels no matter what other's say.

A quick age gap romance. Connor is an older firefighter and was best friends with Samantha’s dad. He’s tries to deny the attraction he feels for Sam. Sama this left town to become a firefighter because she didn’t want people to accuse her of nepotism. She’s had a crush on Connor for as long as she can remember and now that he’s asking her to move home she won’t deny her feeling any longer. Two likeable characters who are hot together. A short but lovely story, this time we follow the story of Connor and Sam, the characters were great and so was the chemistry they had. It is a romantic story and has a bit of drama, suspense and love and a lot of passion and sizzling moments. This is a recommended read.

Here is another great book from this author. They may be shorter books but you really don't miss out on anything. Sam and Connor's story is such a great love story. I love both of these characters and I love that you get to catch up with the other characters in past books as well. In this one you get lust, of course, suspense, passion and such sweet love. I really enjoyed this one and recommend it.
