Genre: Adult Dark Omegaverse Romance
Spice: 2.5/5🌶️
*spice ratings are relative to similar books in the same genre*

The Catalog: MFM dark omegaverse, dark Western vibes, FMC is on the run, sheriff elf & outlaw demon alpha MMCs, designation dysphoria, enemies to lovers, revenge, hurt/care & heat tending, build-a-pack

CW: violence, murder, physical abuse, SA

Pack Dynamics:
α Ω α
Amaru (α): Demon Alpha
Eskil (α): Elf Alpha
Rey (Ω): Angel Omega

Synopsis:
On the run from evil St. Nick, Rey can’t believe her bad luck when she runs into one of his minions, a sheriff elf whose purpose is to hunt down wayward omegas. However, with the help of an outlaw alpha demon, she managed to evade the elf, but evil forces surround her, and it will take both of the alphas to keep her safe.

Thoughts:
Overall, this was okay. Nothing that I found to be outstanding, but I finished it and wanted to know how things would pan out. I am a little disappointed that I spent money on buying the e-book; it’s the kind of middle of the road story that I wish I’d read with KU.

There was quite a bit of world building that I think was desperately under-explained and it left things a little confusing. It wouldn’t have been too hard to just add a few things to clear up some of the more intricate things about this world.

This is also dark, so be warned that one of the MMCs is really awful for a long time and I’m not 100% sure that I forgive him.

I did like the way the MMCs came together to care for Rey in her time of need— the hurt/care was sweet.

I mean...

Saint Nick is evil and bad even though we never meet him just the minions he sends to recapture an Omega to use and abuse her in his little harem of omegas he lets other alphas defile whenever they please...until an Elf and a Demon cross her path the former also having been sent to capture her...but it turns out their all a part of a love triangle/mate triangle?! I dunno if it's just me but going from being afraid of every Alpha male (yes the Demon and Elf are also Alphas and only the Demon hates who he is and what Alphas do) to being mate bonded to 2 and letting them knot her feels wrong on so many levels...it feels like they took advantage of the fact that in this universe Omegas yearn for the touch of an Alpha only they're cruel and corrupt now...that just doesn't sit right with me. Did I enjoy parts of it?! Yes. But I think it on the whole would pmo more than I would enjoy it unless the Author fully fleshed out the story and the corruption were to end and Omegas were given a choice and not just forced to be okay with it simply because they seem to be birthed that way.

I'll never go back to the North Pole. I'll never be part of Saint Nick's harem. I'll never be at the mercy of evil alphas.
My elf and my demon will do anything to protect me and keep me for themselves.

I mostly enjoyed this shorter omegaverse read, with its loose ties to Christmas. I think this was the first time I've read this author, and I'd definitely consider checking out some of their other popular works!

I liked that It felt a little grittier then a usual omegaverse. Amaru was a good balance - though to be honest I did struggle with their names/knowing who was who for most of it! That might be due to the novella length/anthology format this story is written in.

This 'Knottiverse' the author is creating looks vast - check it out here:

2 stars

**Spoilers below**

I think the main reasons why I gave this book 2 stars is because the characters stayed within the safe confines of the omegaverse tropes, and all three of them were quite melodramatic (with one clear winner). The plot was decent and had interesting action outside the nest. The writing needs work tbh. Ngl, because it's an omegaverse story I was expecting more smut, but the scene takes place in the last 13% or so of the story and it was just okay.

CWs: dubcon, thoughts/threats of noncon, murder of a parent off-page, murder of a bad guy on page

Plot summary:
A Christmas angel (our omega, Rey) escapes from evil Saint Nick's alpha clutches. She didn't want to be bred by him and passed around like the other Christmas angels until she was a broken shell of herself like the others. Fair enough. Santa sends some alphas to retrieve her, some of them being gnomes and elves. One of the alpha elves (Eskil) finds and catches her, but she slips from his grasp. She runs into an alpha demon (Amaru) on a mission to avenge his mother, who was killed by an alpha elf (Miguel). Rey begs Amaru to protect her, but he refuses. Amaru and Eskil run into each other and fight, and during the commotion, Rey is abducted by the gnomes. Miguel shows up and threatens to knot her, one thing leads to another and Rey kills him with her Christmas angel powers. Weakened, she is sheltered by Eskil and Amaru. She feels safe enough to start her heat and they have sex (though the alphas do not have sex or even touch each other).

Characters:

Rey: as in ray of light hahageddit. Rey is our Christmas angel omega, so she is typically petite and pale (sigh), and has silver hair. She has prevented her first heat through the use of herbs, but being hunted has disrupted this endeavour. Typical for an omega and the FMC gender role stereotype, she is quite passive in her actions by choosing to run or ask MMCs for help - BUT she does become quite active as a character by using her powers to kill an alpha (only when she had no other options but it's more than a lot of other omegaverse stories so I'll take it). Not much to say here, she's a needy omega in the end getting the undivided obsessive attention and dicks she wants from 2 male alphas because this is wish fulfillment and that's fine.

Eskil: the elf alpha, an Elpha if you will. He constantly wears a Stetson and at no point in the story does it tell you that Stetson is a brand of cowboy hat 🤠 lol. I had to look it up since I thought it was some kind of boot/guitar but nope, this Christmas Elpha goes around yeehawing 24/7. He is def rapey because he thinks about and threatens Rey with rape until he makes a deal with Amaru and even then, he almost lets his instincts win and gets too forceful with her in the smut scene. Not sure if he's here to showcase how dominant alphas usually can be in these stories, if he's here to fulfill the bad boy quota, or if he's here for the dubcon/noncon readers; either way, he does not treat Rey with respect a whole lot so that's a TW to consider. He's pale, blonde and blue eyed so he serves as a visual and emotional foil to Amaru.

Amaru: "My name is Amaru and I am an alpha, which means that I am The Absolute Worst. My jumbo corned beef torpedo is so yuge that it classifies as a weapon, and it jumps every time I look at the widdle omega. My heart and soul breaks into itty bitty pieces every time I look into her green orbs, and I have to convince her to run away from me because I am The Absolute Worst so she shouldn't come to me for protection. Cue emo soundtrack" - Amaru's diary probably. This guy was painfully melodramatic, more so than the rest of the story elements/characters combined. Yes, he hates himself because he's an alpha just like the alpha who murdered his angelic omega mother, but PUHLEASE dial it down a notch. The drama queen crown is super glued to his head and there is no competition.

The fight scene between Amaru and Eskil illustrates why the writing needs work. The author tries way too hard to portray these alphas as The Manliest Alphas To Have Ever Alpha'd that it becomes comedic. From the mentions of hitting the other's "rock hard abdominals" to having the emotional range of a teaspoon, the writing gives us a caricature collection of tropes instead of real people. But I may be quite cynical at this point, having read quite a few omegaverse fics.

Anyway, gonna end the ramble here.

The smut was... fine.

A great Alpha read, who’d have expected a Daemon, and Elf Sheriff and Omega really great read

This is a simply wonderful read that I guarantee you will love every single moment of it is riveting reading and the depth of details paid to each character and the complexity of the story make this a simply wonderful read and I cannot stress how much I am looking forward to future books in this series.

Reading, there is the Daemon biker and the Elf Sheriff that tries to keep a semblance of order over the various Alphas and Omega’s but when there are two Alpha’s after the same Omega it is obvious that things are going to get very hot and extremely bothered.

I guarantee that you will be captivated by this read and like me will be left looking forward to future books in this series, I do always love books by V.T. Bonds and this is simply fantastic reading.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Holy Naughty Christmas, is this the knotty story for you!

Knotting the Christmas Angel is the first book in the new Knottiverse: Holiday Alphas Series.
The Queen of Omegaverse has taken on Christmas in a way never seen before. St. Nick is a greedy Omega hoarding villain who wants to single handedly ruin this Christmas angel. But Eskil and Amaru are having NONE OF IT! Just one whiff of this special omega and they are hooked.
Are they looking for trouble from the gnomes or St. Nick? No, not at all. But does that mean they will willingly give them their newfound omega? Yea, think again.

Rey is in a tough spot running from the hunters who are determined to return her to the North Pole. She will stop at nothing to evade them even if it means running straight in the arms of a sheriff Elf and a demon biker. And boy is it explosive!

These guys are AMAZING! They are everything an alpha should be and even though they hate each other and want nothing more than to take their omega and run, they learn to put her first.

And that means sharing her.

a warm Christmas

Ok so it’s set during Christmas time but no one is jolly. Not Saint Nicholas who turns out to be the worst, not the elf who believes the worst about omegas, not the omega on the run from a terrible fate, and not the demon with vengeance in his heart. But their worlds are about to collide, sparks are going to fly, and nothing is left on the table. There’s great world building in such a short time and the writing is on point as usual. I love the tension and the imperfections of these characters. Their story pulled in and held my attention from start to finish. They all think they’re doing what’s best and they’re all in for a reality check. Another short, sweet, dark tale from the Knottiverse. Well done!

V.T. Bond has one heck of an imagination because this was one messed up bad Santa story.

We have Eskil an Alpha Elf who is on a mission to take Rey, an Omega, back to Saint Nick in Knottiverse (North Pole) where Saint Nick is not a jolly old man, but an evil one who hurts Omegas.

Then there is Amaru a Demon Alpha who only has one thing on his mind, revenge. But that is not all, let’s knot forget a lot of bad Biker Alpha Gnomes and you have one crazy, sexy and out of this world Christmas story and I loved every second of it.

HEA guaranteed.

I have received this as an ARC and this is my honest review.

The Dark Gift

Knotting the Christmas Angel was originally a selection by V.T. Bonds’ called Flames and Peppermint; The Knottyverse: Holiday Alphas story.

“I’ll never go back. No matter how my body hurts-no matter how thin my soul feels-I’ll never return to the other realm.” And Rey believes this will all her soul, as she attempts to keep hiding from those who would take her back to be a part of Saint Nick’s badly treated harem.

What she doesn’t count on, and neither do they, is finding two Alphas who will protect and take care of her Omega needs.

You will find your stocking over-filled with sweets and lots of dark treats!

Now this is how you write a dark Christmas story....I absolutely love Amaru because he deadly, quite and speaks volumes with his presence. I love that his background story was the reasoning behind his letting her choose who she wants. I love the tenaciousness of Eskill and his realizations that he has been wrong and listened to the propaganda of (evil) Saint Nick. In the end this proved that two complete opposites can be brought together under love and protection of one. I am loving this Knottiverse.

KNOTS FOR CHRISTMAS

As with all of V.T. Bond's Knotti novellas, this one serves up the drama, the damsel and the alphas on a silver platter for a steamy Christmas read. An angel determined not to return to Saint Nick, aka bad Santa, two Alpha's, one sent to retrieve and the other seeking revenge on a group of bad guys, cue an immanent heat and worlds collide. I liked the characters, the writing fast-paced with the action scenes but slowed down for the steam. an easy read for a lazy afternoon.

She is hiding from St Nick...

A totally different omegaverse with St Nick as the bad guy. It took me awhile to wrap my head around this. She hides in the human world protected by a couple who run a bar. She on the run when an elf sheriff and a demon biker catch up to her. Is there is no way of escaping these two no matter how hard she tries. Will the turn her over to the omega christmas pimp? Can she escape? This is a great book and I recommend it.

This is a MFM story that is both steamy and adventurous. Rey is an Omega on the run and she is lucky, or unlucky, enough to run into two Alphas who want to protect her. It was easy for me to like Rey with all her determination and her Alphas eventually won my heart as well. One of the things I loved the most about this story is the differences between Eskil and Amaru and the way they compliment each other in the end.

Well that was a deliciously spicy little Omegaverse Christmas story that left me craving more stories just like this one.

Eskil, Amaru and Rey take us on a journey filled with suspense, action, violence, drama, and some deliciously erotic moments.

The story was creative and unique and the world building was absolutely outstanding.

Such a fantastic story from beginning to end and I can’t wait for more!!

elf and demon dark romance with Saint Nick as the villain

⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️

This was a much different story then expected with Rey and omega trying to avoid being captured into saint nicks evil harem

Like woah and ended up being saved by a demon and an elf go figure

Felt like a slow burn even for a novella and the word slick was used way too much times IMO

But for the title I was hoping for a steamy knotting with her 2 mates

Mature Content. Otherworld were Alphas combat for ownership of the feisty Omegas. Rey starts the story and from there she narrates what is going on. She meets fire demon Amaru and North Pole Elf Eskil where she changes their minds in different ways. I enjoy the heart involved with these naughty stories. Rey gets her HEA.

I think it's interesting that in this book St. Nick is not someone you'd really want to meet! He has harems and makes Alpha's believe that Omega's need to be put in check. It just really made an interesting concept for this book!

I also really loved the 3 MC's. The Alpha's were interesting and the Omega was sweet. I loved the ending as well!

I was curious about St. Nick being the baddie. About a demon and elf working together to protect the omega. I was not disappointed. The story line was intriguing. I loved the ways the two finally thought about Rey instead of their differences.
Perfect amount of spice to the romance.
I loved the twists, especially concerning Rey. Great HEA.
Yea, I will be reading this one again.

paranormal romance with spice

No idea what I expected but it wasn’t that. Maybe I’m not into paranormal romance but the spice was good and the dynamic was kind of interesting. It was confusing at times where I wasn’t sure who was who but I figured it out eventually and definitely a different perspective making St Nick the enemy.

This was a lot going on in a short story, so I didn't feel as if there was as much character development as I would hope for. I liked the idea of two males and one female, where the two males aren't necessarily together, but will do whatever necessary to take care of the female. I'm not sure if this story is a prologue to a series, but if so, I would love to revisit these characters.
