In a word --- or acronym --- TMI. At least three chapters could have been either mnimized or left out completely (i.e., cat breeding, cat shows, pedigrees) .... It took me astromonically long time to read through the book, mostly because it's so awkward to hold -- due to its size.

I learned some great stuff --- it just took me too long to get to the meaty tidbits of information I was really interested in.
