The murder mystery was set in England and the author was from England. A lady named Imogen Kershaw is murdered in the small museum that she keeps in honor of her brother who wrote novels. Imogen seems like a typical old maid character. In fact, most of the characters seem rather stuffy and stiff. Apparently this is one of series of books about the Detective Chief Inspector Jack Rudd.
Rudd discovers one of the people who has visited the museum just prior to the murder of Imogen is a lady, Nina Gifford, who was involved in a murder years ago. Rudd and Nina have a little, formal relationship in this story. I picked up this book at the free book give away at the county fair......glad I didn't pay for it !!
