Solia Anderson will do anything to save her family’s remote log cabin from sale. Tired of her Rhode Island life where, at any moment, she might bump into a reminder of her bad taste in men, she bravely trades creature comforts for untamed adventure. Suitcase (and stubborn determination) packed, she retreats to the quiet shores of Newfound Lake, New Hampshire, where she lazed away her childhood summers.

However, her plans for an uncomplicated, solitary life fall short when she crosses paths with Jackson Christianson, town heartthrob, while she loads the bed of her truck in the lot of the local hardware store.

As sparks fly and romance takes root, Jackson’s well-guarded secret threatens their burgeoning passion. When his longing for Solia becomes unbearable, he must choose between mending his heart or shattering their newfound love.

In this compelling narrative of burning desire, heartrending loss, and joyous self-discovery, Solia and Jackson’s journey is a testament to the power of true love.

If you’re looking for a reliable small town romance to give you some good feels with mature characters, good character growth and healing, and an intro into a fun small town series with relatable characters, then this book is for you! It was a great palette cleanser with predictable plot. Not very spicy, but LOTSSS of sexual tension.

I almost decided to stop reading this book after the first chapter. The story line got to be a lot better and liked the book. The reason for 3 stars is that I felt like she over used every adjective in the dictionary. It was a put off for me.

Love this book!!

I was hooked from chapter 1 because I love the “Pick up and move for fresh start/different life” story line, especially when the character is moving to a log cabin on a lake in a perfect little small town. 🥲

- The setting was one of my favorites I’ve ever read about in a book. It was a small, cozy, everybody-knows-everybody, lakeside town where you can’t help but fall in love with every character you come across. In that aspect, it reminded me a lot of Knockemout, Virginia from Lucy Score’s Knockemout series. Not to mention the beautiful descriptions of the scenery. I absolutely love the fact that the author has such a personal connection to the setting, and it really shows in her writing. I have never visited Newfound Lake, but I might need to plan a trip at this point.

- I know this is the first book in a series so I really cannot wait to have my hands on the future books. If it is an interconnected romance situation, I already have several characters who’s stories I would be really excited to read!

I was lucky enough to come across Alanna through TikTok, and I am so glad I did!! She is such an awesome human and author. I am so impressed by this being her debut novel!

Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your ARC team! I can’t wait to read your next one. I am officially a fan, and will read anything you write!

This was such a good read! I love Alanna’s writing so much. She’s very descriptive when talking about Newfound Lake, so much so that you feel as if you are there yourself. I loved the characters in this story. It was more than a romance and had you rooting for the entire town and their land. I loved the small town vibes and how everyone came together to help save their town. Jackson was precious. He was guarded from the trauma he had endured the year before and was reluctant to let Solia in- knowing it would only hurt them both especially with his plans to move. However, his love for her and his town continued to grow no matter how hard he tried to not think about her. After finding Solia alone on the lake, his decision was easily made. I was happy to see the ending we did and look forward to more in this series!

If you love small town romance, love at firstsight, or just an all around feel good romance, you'll want to read this book. Neither Jackson nor Solia are looking for love, but a chance meeting at a hardware store flips both of their lives upside-down. I really love the development of the characters and their pasts. The detailed descriptions of the little lake town make me want to visit Newfound Lake!

This book is about a small town romance in a picturesque New England lakeside town. There's tragedy, second chance romance, sexy farmer, and breakups. It has everything there is for potential, but I was left wanting more. It just didn't go as deep as it could have, and many of it just seemed to focus on the wrong things for me.

I appreciate that the entire town got together to fight green energy. This is something that happens regularly, but normally it doesn't pan out like this. There is a lot more fighting between residents, and more residents take the deals and green energy usually wins. Knowing this made it difficult for me to love the story and look past the inaccuracies I found throughout the book.

I grew up in a small town in New England, and still live in a small town. I've grown up dealing with small town issues like dealing with a dump and snow removal. It honestly reads like this was written by a city slicker who is trying to write what she thinks small towns are like.

At one point the author implied that every New England girl wants a steamy farmer with a tractor like it was a common occurrence there. I never met anyone in my New England town that had a tractor. In my area it was all about cranberries (grows in a bog and farmers flood it and then collect the cranberries), blueberries, and apples. In all three of these tractors are not the focal point.

In total there was more in the book that bothered me than I liked. It was still good enough that I may pick up the sequel, but I'm not sure I would recommend it to others.

I was an ARC reader for 183 Reasons
Let’s just start with the front cover…ummm hello beautiful!
I got to visit Newfound Lake in NH and it was everything I imagined from Alanna Grace’s description in this captivating debut novel.
183 Reasons is a small town romance. The character development is so realistic & so good. I became attached to many of the characters, especially Jerry. Jackson & Solis’s love story is like a fun roller coaster ride.
It was a feel good romance and a 5 STAR read for me.
I can’t wait for more!!!

Fall in love with a lakeside, small town in New England through this fun-packed romance. The story flows easily. It’s a wonderful, cozy evening read. I laughed out loud enough times that my cat came over to see what I was doing. Like me, you’ll be rooting for Solia and Jackson from their first meet-cute. Can’t wait to see how this series develops.

Romance in a small lake town.  A sweet story of second chances.

Solia Anderson decides to start over after losing her job and her last boyfriend   Her parents want to sell her childhood cabin on the shores of Newfound Lake, New Hampshire and she will do anything to save the cabin.  When she he moves to the cabin and meets Jackson Christianson, sparks fly. Jackson has secrets and plans to leave at the end of summer.  Will his heart be fixed, or will he follow through with his plans.

I purchased this book after seeing the author share it on Facebook.  I loved the determination and grit of Solia. She moved to a new town, had to find a job, fix up the cabin, and in the process, met new friends and fell in love.  The small-town feel of the book made the story even better.  I loved how the characters of all ages looked out and supported for each other.

This was a great story.  I can’t wait for the next book in the Newfound Lake Series, 43° North.  It will be released on April 16.

✨ 183 Reasons by @alannagraceauthor ✨

Guysssssss…. This book 🥹 Jackson and Solia’s chemistry was PALPABLE! There was so much depth to these characters and Alanna did a great job in integrating real life issues into this relationship. This book reminded me of your favorite summer fling and the emotions that come with having to leave in the summer, but as an adult. HOWEVER, Alanna was talking about these people being in the water and it’s like 40 degrees still at night…. This Texas girl is out! I’d have hypothermia.

But I digress, Jackson and Solia have the kid of chemistry that makes it impossible to be apart. They fall fast and hard, but they also fight their feelings. (Wanted to box them.) This book is more than just the romance though there is depth and the characters make you love them. Also, Solia’s mom made me want to throw the book like 10 times.

This book was a SLOWWWWWWWW burn. Jackson was so admirable… swoon🥰
I’d give it a spice rating of like 🌶️🌶️. The door is like cracked open if you know what I mean.

A heartwarming smalltown romance featuring heartthrob Jackson and independent Solia. The descriptive writing will have you transported to Newfound Lake feeling like you are there with the characters. But be prepared, Jackson has a secret he’s not ready to divulge that keeps Solia at arms length. But when two characters are destined to be together, love always finds a way.

Congrats to this indie author on her wonderful debut! You can truly tell this author cares so much about her characters and the story she’s written 🩷

Absolutely ADDICTING is an understatement! This book, I can not say anything but I NOW NEED MORE for Author Alanna Grace. I have read small-town romances before, but this book 183 Reasons was like Chicken Soup To My Soul! The friendship turned romance between the FMC and the MMC, had me falling in love with small town romance novels all over again! I literally read this book in a day, that is how mesmerizing it was for my soul! If Author Alanna Grace writes it, this girl right here is going to read it! One of the best reads I have read of 2023.

183 Reasons is a cute, hilarious, slow burn, small town romance. Solia moves to a small town to save her parent's cabin and meets a smoking hot farmer, Jackson. "There is nothing steamier than a hometown hottie who rides a tractor and gets muddy on the daily." The descriptive details in this book are phenomenal, it made me want to dive into the pages and physically be at the lake in New Hampshire. The first chapter had me laughing out loud. The spice is just sprinkled in the book, realistic spice. There some found family with the small town, some grief and healing, a common enemy and true love with a HEA. 5 Stars!

Oh I never wanted to leave Meriden! The setting is beautiful, the storyline draws you in and I just needed to know more about the characters. I felt invested in Jackson and Solia’s love story from the very beginning. The town coming together against a common enemy is also so well done. I can’t wait for their stories to continue in her next book!

This book was so freaking cute. I laughed, I cried, and I laughed some more. Solia and Jackson were adorable together and I love their relationship. They fall fast and hard for each other but Jackson's past and future plans threaten to derail whatever they have started. What will happen when he comes clean?

Add it to your TBR because you aren't going to want to miss this!

183 Reasons was SUCH a good book!
I found Alanna through TikTok, and through my few months of following her, she has become an auto-buy author for me. Not only because of her descriptive writing, but because of how amazing of a person she is!

183 Reasons follows Solia as she decides to take a leap of faith and start down a new path in the town of Newfound Lake. She quickly meets local hottie, Jackson, and things progress from there 😏

This is a feel good book, and was the perfect palette cleanser for me in between some darker reads. If you’re looking for a small town romance or love at first sight, this is the story!!! I laughed, I cried, I cheered. This book had me feeling all of the emotions. Growing up in a small town, the found family trope throughout the book is what I wish my town could have been like. It felt like a much better version of home ❤️

Alanna’s writing made me feel like I was there with the characters- I felt their love, their pain, their happiness, and I can’t wait to see what Alanna does with the rest of the series.

Thank You so so much Alanna for allowing me to be a part of your ARC team. Your debut novel blew me away, and I am so excited to see what the future has in store for you! 🫶🏼

I read this book as an ARC

Wow! I just finished this book and it was soooooo good! Not only was it well written, it made me want to go check out the lake and stay in a log cabin!
183 Reasons tells the story of a young woman looking for a new start in the small lakeside town of Meriden, New Hampshire. What she wasn’t expecting was to meet a hot guy as soon as she rolled into town. They each have their problems to work through, as does the town. The more I read, the more I found myself rooting with the couple and the town. I have never been to New Hampshire but after reading this book, I definitely want to check it out!
If you’re looking for a small town romance, the perfect amount of spice, and memorable characters then check out this book! I will definitely be looking forward to reading more from Alanna Grace!

This was such an amazing romance novel that had everything I was looking for! It was small town romance where the FMC moves from Rhode Island to her family's cabin in New Hampshire on a lake. Love is the farthest thing from Solia's mind as she is trying to find a teaching job, prove to her parents that she can live in the cabin on her own, and start over from a recent break up. Gerry, an elderly character from the book will always have my heart. I legit read this in one sitting. There were hilarious situations that the FMC gets into. Definitely a must if you are looking for a cozy, small town romance with amazing characters!
