Seb's day is going very badly. A letter from college asking where he is, a letter from the bank about his overdraft, his mother is very angry with him and his girlfriend has dumped him. So Seb goes off for the day of escape, but by the end of the day nothing is ever going to be the same for Seb. This exciting, taut and compelling look into the life of a teenage boy is the brilliant second novel for Bloomsbury by Graham Marks.

Really enjoyed this and it’s like a time capsule of the early 2000s. I need to find more books set around this time as it’s so nostalgic and a time period I love. Characters were great and I enjoyed the development between Seb and Ella. I would have been nice to have an Epilogue with them two in a few years time.

very cool story about a young guy who is fed up, goes to town, and ends up in a pickle. A big pickle. It is tense and well-written but also has a lot of hope and is very thoughtful about redemption, second chances and living for the moent. Greta books

A great YA book. I think I read it in two days. A wonderful story about redemption and hope. I still get chills thinking about the last line of this one!
