Vegetables come in a variety of shapes and colors. They provide people with vitamin A, vitamin C, and fiber. Students will learn how many servings of vegetables they should have each day and how vegetables benefit their bodies.
This series is very simple, with repetitive, somewhat flat language, but is a good introduction to/overview of the food groups and Food Guide Pyramid (it uses the new style pyramid), especially for very young readers/listeners.
This was a short informative about being healthy and how vegetables are great for the body. I would have my students make a list of what makes vegetables healthy.
