Also known as Evelyn Bolton and A.E. Bunting.

Anne Evelyn Bunting, better known as Eve Bunting, is an author with more than 250 books. Her books are diverse in age groups, from picture books to chapter books, and topic, ranging from Thanksgiving to riots in Los Angeles. Eve Bunting has won several awards for her works.

Bunting went to school in Ireland and grew up with storytelling. In Ireland, “There used to be Shanachies… the shanachie was a storyteller who went from house to house telling his tales of ghosts and fairies, of old Irish heroes and battles still to be won. Maybe I’m a bit of a Shanchie myself, telling stories to anyone who will listen.” This storytelling began as an inspiration for Bunting and continues with her work.

In 1958, Bunting moved to the United States with her husband and three children. A few years later, Bunting enrolled in a community college writing course. She felt the desire to write about her heritage. Bunting has taught writing classes at UCLA. She now lives in Pasadena, California.

Charming, if still a little old for Tot. Pretty illustrations. I particularly loved the story about a flower moving on, but leaving a little gift behind.

Great words

This book had great words. It was easy to read and I could imagine the story. We recommend this for four-year-olds.

Three early reader stories. Frog finds a flower and takes care of it, but he's sad when it eventually wilts. Then Frog goes for a ride on Seagull's back, but it's not as much fun as he'd hoped. Then, Frog has trouble sleeping and the other animals suggest different remedies. Simple stories which feel complete. Works as an early reader.

Three short stories involving frog and his friends. Frog takes care of a flower, Frog takes a flight on seagulls back and experiences the thrill of flying. Frog is restless and can't sleep. His friends brings different items and remedies to help Frog sleep. Simple text for the reader to enjoy.

What is the author Eve Bunting's fascination with death? In this book, the red flower dies. The animals tried everything to keep it alive, water, sunlight, and singing a get well song. The flower dies and leaves behind a seed. All the animals are happy and will take care of the seed. The story ends there - but what happens when the seed turns into a flower? Honestly, Sleeping Bear Press, did anyone read the stories or did you just publish based on the author's name? I do not recommend this book.

This book will be great for my future kindergarteners and when we take the time to learn about many different subjects. This book will fit into F for frogs and B for bird, T for travel and many more. I will definitely use this book in my future class, while it is not the best book I have read but it is good.

I enjoyed this book because Frog went on an adventure and Seagull took Frog on an adventure. I also enjoyed this book because Frog saw a flower and the flower died. I also enjoyed this book because there was a little sprout that was growing into another flower.
