Banking on Love #1

60 Days to Love

Rate this book
A second chance romance with an expiration date sets the foundation for 60 Days to Love. When Montana Dixon returns home to Memphis, she’s given the opportunity to financially secure her future for the rest of her life. With that opportunity comes a commitment of marriage to a man she’s never spoken a single word to. Having sworn off love, Montana is okay with an arranged marriage for the sake of business—until she runs into her ex—the man who showed her how love can hurt. For years, Orion Tate has regretted the way things ended with his college sweetheart. He promised himself if fate brought them back together, he’d make Montana his again. When fate does make their paths cross, Orion learns of Montana’s pending engagement. Convinced he has only 60 days to regain Montana’s love, Orion sets out to reclaim the one that got away… But there’s one major problem, and that’s Montana’s lack of a desire to trust him with her heart again. With family drama and conflict adding itself to the equation, love doesn’t seem as accessible as Orion expected it to be. Will he give up on a second chance at love, or will he prove true love always wins?

Subpar story with no real plot! 🥴

Orion and Montana bump into each other after 20 years and clearly sis can hold a grudge because their college break up due to his infidelity is still fresh in her mind and the first thing she does is smacks the 💩out of him 😩😩 sis!!! It’s been twenty years!!! 🗣️ LET THAT HURT GO!

Was he wrong for cheating?! Probably but was he a young immature college boy at the time?! Yes! The fact that she was still living twenty years in the past despite his obvious growth was crazy! She was clearly still in love yet conflicted on whether or not to give him her heart again. Why?! 🙄

Then when you add in an arrangement marriage and money laundering at their family business you end up with a chaotic story that doesn’t truly come together like I expected. I’m gonna continue with the series because why not lol but I’m not holding my breath that it will get any better!

Actually scratch that! I’m done and moving on! 😒

Live is supreme 💕💕💕

This was an interest start for this series .Orion and Montana. had some hurdles to clear in order to get where they needed to be Montana’s Father had put her in a situation that seemed doable until it wasn’t. I enjoyed the story and just when I got comfortable with the way things seemed to be headed. B.Love hit me with a cliff hanger 🤦🏽‍♀️😂🤣. Oh well guess I’ll get a glass of wine and move on to book two of this series ❤️

This is book one of a three book standalone series by Ms. B. Love. Montana and Orion met in college and became best friends and then lovers. On the one spring break that the couple decides to spend apart, Orion cheats and comes clean the very next day. Montana decides that once is enough, she hightails it out of there and doesn’t look back. Orion regrets his mistake and vows that if fate brings the two together again that he’d make her his again. 18 years later and Montana moves back to their hometown. When the two cross paths again, Orion springs into action to set his plan “to win Montana back” in motion. In his pursuit of Montana, he learns that she made a deal with her father to marry so that two family businesses could join, making each a billion-dollar company. Initially Montana is all for a two-year marriage of convenience instead of marrying for love. As Orion sets out to make her his again, he has 60 days to convince her that he won’t fumble her heart again however, Montana has to decide if she can really trust him again with her heart.

This was the average romance story, nothing really new and exciting. Montana had me rolling my eyes at her throughout most of the book but I’m glad that she finally got some act right. Orion was a prize but didn’t really move me. I always look forward to and am excited to see appearances from the Black and/or Mayhem brothers from the Black Mayhem Mafia Saga 🥰🥰. The ending was explosive and that alone has me looking forward to the next book. Some are referring to it as a cliffhanger and I really didn’t think that it is however, when I looked up the definition of the word, I guess it did end on one. 🤣

Loved the love they were making!

I really loved Montana and Orion together! They had loved one another since their college days! It was wrong to try to make Montana marry Garner, I was glad in the end Montana and Orion got their HEA! Can't wait to read the next book in this series!

Loved

Orion and Montana had a long history together, but Orion messed it up with actions. Fast forward, and now they have been reunited, only problem is, there's some complications in their way. Well, one big one. I like how Orion didn't let that deter him. I didn't expect that ending though, now onto the next book.

This book was 178 pages of forced plot. The FMC was dumb as hell, and even with the cliffhanger at the end, I still would not read the rest of this series.

I need the next book please

Oh wow, I can’t wait for Timbers story now! I loved Montana and Orion although I was side eyeing Montana for a good part of the book, wondering if she would follow her heart. I want to see how Montana’s sister fares too. Second chance love stories are always a favorite of mine, and this fit the bill perfectly.

This friends-to-lovers romance is an emotional rollercoaster that beautifully captures the complexities of love, timing, and vulnerability. Fallyn Mitchell’s journey is deeply relatable: as her seemingly perfect life unravels, the true anchor she clings to is her unwavering friendship with Stax. The story does a wonderful job exploring how comfort and familiarity can sometimes mask deeper feelings, and what it really means to risk everything for love.

Stax Tate is an equally compelling character, torn between what he thinks he deserves and what his heart truly wants. The tension between Stax and Fallyn is palpable, and the author masterfully builds anticipation as both characters grapple with their fears and desires. The introduction of Paige adds another layer of emotional complexity, raising the stakes for both Stax and Fallyn as they navigate their feelings.

This novel shines in its nuanced portrayal of friendship, longing, and the courage it takes to speak your truth. The chemistry between Stax and Fallyn leaps off the page, and readers will find themselves rooting for these two to find happiness together. With authentic dialogue, relatable conflicts, and moments of both heartache and hope, this story is a must-read for anyone who enjoys contemporary romance with emotional depth. Highly recommended for fans of slow-burn, friends-to-lovers stories that tug at the heartstrings.

Montana and Orion... I still don't know how I feel about these two at the end of this book. They both annoyed me throughout and it felt like they were playing at the second chance they were given more than actually appreciating it as the unexpected gift it was.

Orion obviously felt like they should just be able to just resume their college sweetheart romance from before his moment of infidelity, as long as Montana forgave him. But then he also showed that he understood he needed to earn her trust and love in this point in their lives now that they're older and have experienced life more.

Montana was giving heavy bratty vibes from the jump, especially once her spoiled Daddy's princess status became clear. And the fact that she would even entertain an arranged marriage at her father's request purely for the achievement of business goals and a bigger bank account had me questioning her self esteem and self worth, because there had to be another way than selling your body and soul to a stranger for 2 years to make y'all families richer. Montana felt very immature and unreliable, and definitely did not seem to want the future Orion was offering until she felt like she was going to completely lose him by following her father's demands.

Awesome Read

Timber is their sister!! Who would have thought? I should have known something because Orion was always concerned no matter how much he said they couldn't get along. They had a special bond. Orion is the nurturing brother out of the three. That's why his love for Montana has and always will be so strong! Despite what he did when they were in college, he loves her unconditionally. Montana feels the same way about Orion. She's just been put in a position to help her family's company financially. After experiencing Orion's love again, she couldn't risk losing him again for anything!! I can't wait to read the next book!! Job well done, B!

The last page got me!

Montana and Orion story was a true love story. These two were in love during college but you guess it he messed up. 18 yrs later their first time seeing each other was explosive! These two had a lot of hurt and money standing in the way of their happily ever after. You’ll also fall in love with the other characters (his brothers and her sister). They only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because their story was missing something for me. I wanted to see more with the Garner character. I just felt I was missing that it factor in the story. But I’m SO ready to read the next book in the series!

60 Days to Live ( Banking on Love Book 1)

This book was dramatic, and emotional were high with college sweethearts Orion and Montana. The break up was 18 yrs ago but when their eyes met each other it's like meeting for the first time. Tamara was back in town to get married to a business partner her father arrange . He told Tamara to marriage will be for 2 yrs and the family would become billionaire. When Montana met her father's business partner he was controlling, and Tamara was not for that . She went to Orion her childhood sweetheart and her sister did the arrange marriage. Please read this is B.Love work you will enjoy it.

This was a nice book and break from the crime-filled dramas I'd been reading. I love B. Love and am not new to her books, but this one took me a week and a half to complete, which is not usually the case for the other books I've read from her. The characters were nicely written and developed; I just think that the story dragged a little for it to be a second-chance romance. At times, I wasn't sure where the book was going, but it came together nicely at the end. I will say the cliffhanger at the end definitely caught my attention, and I will read the other books in the series to see what comes of that. I would recommend this book and author.

Very mid.
I’m be honest, they irritated me more than anything. If I haven’t seen you in 20 years, you don’t get to just jump back in my life and dictate to me what I’m going to do or what you feel like we need to do. We’re no longer the same people we need to get to know each other again and 30 days is just not enough time to do that. Montana’s daddy also drove me absolutely bonkers he was definitely more concerned about himself and business than his daughters happiness. She could have sat there and been unhappy for the rest of her days and it wouldn’t have mattered to him because he would’ve been good . And the little side tangent bank robbery gang stuff was so unnecessary.

A Sixty Day Shocker

Well, well, well “60 Days to Love” was definitely an interesting read at minimum. The proposed marriage arrangement was/is weird…and apparently transferable, that’s just NASTY! Thereafter, Orion & Montana’s attempt to rekindled friendship with benefits was a bizarre journey….but their love story appears to have prevailed. However, the elephant cliffhanger, Elizabeth & Havier’s have a WHAT 🫨😯🫣⁉️…hmmmm, that might explain Timber’s indifference. Now, Book 2 of this series is an absolute necessity …

True love prevails!

I’m going to start by saying that the ending was one heck of a cliffhanger. I definitely can’t wait to read the next book. This book was well written and flowed well but there wasn’t much excitement in it for me. Orion and Montana broke up 18 years ago and he was determined to win her back once she returned to Memphis. The only problem was that she had an arrangement to marry someone else and he actually seemed like a controlling man. Eventually, Montana went with her heart and went back to Orion.

4/5 stars!

Second chance romance is my thing in books and I loved how well-executed it is here. I loved the layers the characters of Orion and Montana have because of their experiences and how their past made them who they are in the present. The plot with Montana being engaged in 60 days isn't really that juicy or thrilling to follow, for me personally. It felt very low stakes despite it being hyped up in the description. Nonetheless, this is still a good book and I loved the revelation at the end for the next book in the series. Will definitely read that.

Sometimes it works better the second time around

Orion and Montana’s definitely fit the second chance romance trope. What I liked most was that it picked up on the present without flashbacks on their past. It allowed me to learn them as adults and not base their relationship off of young love. Garner was useless in this one and I hope Sid doesn’t go for it. While uncle’s part in this was troubling, it was the ending that had me shook because WTH.

Hot New Series

Author B. Love New series is beginning out well. I just hate how my mouth was left hanging open at the newsflash in the end. I was really hoping that Montana made the decision she wanted to make in her life and not based on the proposition made by her father. As for Orion having family working for you is a hard pill to swallow especially when you find out how disloyal they had been. I can not wait to read the next book in series.

Montana and Orion

I loved Montana and Orion as a couple. I think I fell in love with their love because of how they came to be together. Yes they were college sweethearts and one poor decision broke them apart. Sometimes things happen for a reason. It gave them both time to heal and mature. Forgiveness of someone that hurt you and or forgiving yourself was the steps that Orion and Montana had to take.

Real love!

Orion & Montana were able to overcome past hurts to rebuild their relationship. Even though they had been separated a long time they still had love for one another. You could feel the chemistry jumping off the pages. It was a nice touch hearing from The Black Mafia Mayhem. To say I'm anxious for the next book in this series is an understatement. The bomb drop at the end was priceless!

Orion and Montana

Montana stressed me out I was like come on girl 🤦🏾‍♀️🙄🤣. Orion worked hard to prove his love and I really enjoyed reading about men courting this women. They were 🔥 together for sure. That daddy was going to get his billions one way or another🤣🤣🤣. I would have liked to see what came of that. The ending had my mouth dropped I didn’t see that coming so now on to book two!

Second chance

Orion and Montana were meant to be forever, but a youthful indiscretion pulled them apart. 18 years later, that chemistry that said they were a forever love is still there but the memory of what happened is too. Can they love without fear and move forward with only 60 days to prove it? You have to read this book. The Black Mafia makes an appearance and there's a what a minute moment you will NOT be expecting at the end.

Oh my God noooooo.... What was Orion's dad thinking about. I hope Montana don't let this change her mind about being with Orion. Now Unc need to be dealt with for what he did, I'm glad they worked everything out and Montana decided to forgive and give them that chance. Can't wait for the next book😯🙂

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Talk about a cliffhanger!! I love second chance romance. Orion and Montana are so perfect for each other. I am glad she chose Love and Happiness over money. Havier is a whole mess. I don't know about her Sister and Garner working, with his controlling ways. I think she might be the one to put him in check. That cliffhanger had my mine BLOWN! Can't wait for the next book.
