Enigma: The complete collection by Shandi Boyes a breath-taking five-star read
Enigma of Life a breath-taking five-star read. This is the first book in the Enigma series and is also book #1 in Isaacs story. It is recommended for over 18s as does contain scenes of a sexual and adult nature, as well as language that may offend some people. ‘Enigma is a person or thing that is mysterious or difficult to understand’ Isaac Holt is one such thing, and would definitely be classed as an enigma. This is a love story, but not your conventional love story, it shows us how just because you may be in love with someone doesn’t mean you will always get to be together. This is a story of how not everything is black and white, but there are many shades of grey in between also, that not everyone pays attention to.
Neither Isabella or Isaac are what they seem on the outside, and in the author’s own words ‘Until you have your own legitimate reason not to like someone, you should treat them how you wish to be treated’ I have loved this first book and can’t wait to get my teeth sunk into Isaac #2. The only downfall with this book was the cliff-hanger ending, but that just made me more eager to get onto the next book.
Unraveling the Enigma by Shandi Boyes a compelling and thrilling five-star read. This is the second book in the Enigma series and we get to see more of Isaacs story. We pick the story up after we left the first book, Isaac now knows that Isabella works for the FBI and he believes that she was undercover to get information on him, being too hurt and angry that he let her in to see what is under the surface. Feeling like he doesn’t know who she really is, Isaac feels betrayed and that she is a stranger. What he doesn’t know is what Isabella is going through to keep him safe.
This book has had me up and down more times than a kid on an escalator, I read with some friends so we usually read to a planned date order, I started the first book a little early as I finished the last book early and wanted to give it a try even though it wasn’t the next one up, then because of the cliff hanger I had to pick this one up sooner. I am so going to get a good kick as I need the third book now!! If it’s as good as I think, I am going to be in trouble as I will have finished the series before my girls even start.
Enigma: The Mystery unmasked by Shanti Boyes a twiterpating five-star read. This is the third book in the Enigma series and it is just as fast paced and thrill filled as the first book. One of the things about this series is how we are shown how Isabella Brahn has been through a lot, and has had to fight for everything she believes in and loves, we are shown that no matter how hard she fights, she can’t always win. This story goes from strength to strength, I can’t wait to read the next story in the series. You can’t help but watch her fight and want to stand alongside her holding her hand and getting the punching bag ready.
Enigma of Life by Shandi Boyes a five-star read that causes major tissue issues. This is the fourth book in the Enigma series and is the final piece of the Isaac and Isabelle story. After everything they have been through, will they finally get the ending they deserve? I love a good cry, and have been known to cry at adverts on TV, but this story has had me in sad tears where I didn’t want to read any more as I didn’t want to know what happened next, and happy tears were your faith in humanity is restored. This is a story of how not everything is black and white, but there are many shades of grey in between also, that not everyone pays attention to, but the author of this series has paid attention to every shade of grey.
This story has you gripped, you have to find out what happens, Isabelle already has PTSD will this be the final straw, will it break her? or will it make her realise that she has to fight for what she wants and make her realise exactly what she wants. We also get to find answers to some of the questions that have been burning in the back-ground for long time, I was so happy this happened, but it hasn’t shut the door on everything so the next book can’t come quickly enough. This author does a great job at wrapping things up, but keeping you on the hook so you have a passion that will keep you reading more and more.
