It was okay. Parts of it really dragged and I never really felt invested in Holly all that much. My interest kind of started petering out towards the end.

Not really a novel, but I enjoyed it because the subject of midwifery interests me. Even though it doesn't seem like so long ago, things have definitely changed, socially and medically since the mid 80's!

Being involved in the birth industry as a doula, I thought it was a great story written from the inside... I also really enjoyed learning "medical" terms I didn't already know.

Got this when I first started working, it was realistic enough to where it could have been written by anyone on my unit.
