As much as I love Jodie Foster, this book was basically a regurgitation of every other book, article, and interview written about her. I didn't learn a single thing I didn't already know and it wasn't even an enjoyable read.
I was disappointed in this book as it's really more of an overview of her movies, including brief synopses of the movies, and not much that is truly biographical. And as I started the book I realized it was not a sanctioned book, so it makes sense that a woman who has sought privacy throughout her career would not be easy to write a book about.
There were some interesting parts to this, many about the Reagan would be assassin/ stalker, but for me it lacked warmth and depth. I expect this is due to this being a paper exercise without any interviews or so it seems contact with Jodie in writing the book.
