Whispers of the Water picked right up where Fire of the Fox left off, and it sucked me right back into Bria and Rune’s story…

This book and this series rank in my top fantasy reads this year! It is so easy to read and pick right back up where things left off, while still engaging and intriguing enough to keep you vested and wanting more!!

WOTW is..
💧fantasy/ Fae in an urban setting
💧relationship of convenience
💧forced proximity (one bed!)
💧slow burn to 🔥
💧found family

*POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD*

Bria and Rune continue their relationship of convenience
-Bria gets her money to travel for a once in a lifetime trip to Italy to continue her art studies
-Rune has a girlfriend on his hand to keep his moms attempts to mate him with a cruel Fox Fae

They set out to meet Rune’s Fox Fae family… nerve wracking enough, but these Bria and Rune have to pretend Bria is of Fox Fae decent (spoiler- she’s quiet the opposite)

Under a magical glimmer via camelion Fae, Bria pretends she too is Fox. Runes mother is cruel, regardless of their attempts to appease her. Myra
invites a past fling of Runes staying with them during the time, Adrian, who is just the Fox she would like her son to mate with.

Bria has recently discovered something about herself she must hide, and continues hiding it from her new friends & Rune. Not only is her type of Fae an enemy to Fox Fae, but she is a princess, one that was hid and protected for years…

Will this secret change the way Rune and his Fae friends see her? Will it get in the way of their budding relationship? Find out…

This is possibly my new favorite read of the year.
Thank you so much Sylver for letting me read the arc of this book. 😍
After reading Fire of the Fox the first time. I knew book 2 would be amazing and I'm so glad to say I was completely right.
It was incredible. The story line just grew as well as the characters. The little twists and surprises were perfection.
And the twins. Oh my gosh, my heart. 🥰 I loved the twins so much.

The challenges Bria faces in this book is much more intense than the first book, but yall. She faces them so well. Holding her head high, and giving her enemies sweet revenge.

Her and Runes relationship grows and I hope yall are ready for some heartwarming moments and some steamy ones too.
Rune...yea Rune is easily a favorite book bf.

I highly recommend you add this to your tbr. And I'm already dying for book 3. Although the thought of this story coming to an end has my heart in knots, but I'm hopeful it's going to be just as amazing as the first 2 book. 😍

Ahhh.. another book by the wonderful Sylver Michaela. First, I want to say how thankful I am for being able to continue this journey with Sylver. I’ve been following her since she released her first novel, Fallen For You, and I’ve been hooked ever since.

Whispers of the Water is book 2 of the Broken Fae Trilogy. The book picks up right where book 1 ended, which I loved. It’s been about a year since I’ve read Fire of the Fox (book 1), and I was going to reread the story before diving into Whispers of the Water, but being the impatient person I am, I said fuck it and started it anyways.

I LOVE how easy it was to just fall right back into this universe. Normally, it’s hard for me to pick up on a series after having not been in the “world” for a while, but this was so easy. As soon as I started reading, I was immediately thrown into the wonderful world of Bria and Rune.

I have to say, Whispers of the Water is a step up from Fire of the Fox. Don’t get be wrong, I LOVED book 1, but book 2… DAMN 🌶️🌶️ 🤪

Girl, Sylver, everything that I was missing and craving for in book 1, BITCH I FOUND IT. IT’S RIGHT HERE IN WHISPERS OF THE WATER!

I loved the growth of many of the characters. We were able to see more than just the surface of not just Rune but almost all of the original characters. I love that we were also able to meet a few new characters like Ardley and Rune’s little brothers Newt and Greshim. The way I fell in love with all of them immediately was amazing. Also, I need a spin-off for Ardley immediately. Thank you 😉

The character growth of Rune is amazing. As I was reading, I just knew that when Rune would find out that Bria is a water fae that they were going to have this big fight and they’d separate. I was genuinely surprised at how he had matured and changed his mindset on water fae. I can’t wait to see how he grows even more in book 3 with the new challenges they will face.

You know you’re reading a good book when you begin to genuinely hate someone in the story. When I tell you I would get so mad at Myra and Aiden… I would have to take a little pause and walk around the room because 😤
Myra is a very complex character. At times, I hated her so much for how she would treat not just Bria but her own children. But then she would have these moments where I felt bad for her. I’m not sure if she’s going to be a redeemable character, but I really hope we get to dive in deeper to her and how she thinks and feels.

Overall, Whispers of the Water is a wonderful addition to the Broken Fae Trilogy. It’s beautifully written and it’s able to take that extra step and make the series even more riveting. Whispers of the Water has everything you could want. It’s packed with great characters that you love (and despise lol), spicy romance, action packed fights, and a found-family that makes you wish you could be apart of it.

Congratulations on another amazing novel, Sylver. I hope to continue this journey with you as you continue to create these beautiful stories. ❤️

Book 2 in the Broken Fae Trilogy did not disappoint!
.
We start off right where Fire of the Fox ends. Bria is going into the Fox's Den 👀 As if that's not dangerous enough, Bria is hiding a dire secret.
.
She's their enemy. 🤫
.
Bria has to navigate not only Rune's dangerous Fox family, but also her true identity, and her feelings for Rune, all while trying to gain control of her unruly powers. Though there is character growth with Bria, she gave me the most anxiety 😅 she's very young, naive, & inexperienced. Her actions had me yelling at her & rolling my eyes throughout the book. But, that's her character. It was true to who she is & her life experience. She also has a heart of gold 💛 the world needs more people like her!
.
Rune came a long way from book 1! I love that we got to see who he truly is, learn his story & why he was so closed off. He definitely did & said things that had me 😏🥵 & I loved his fierce protection over Bria! 🙌🏻
.
That being said, I thought this was going to be wayyyy spicier than it was 🙈 my spice scale may be different than yours, but I'd give this one a 🌶️. There was a lot of tension/teasing, & although there was open door/sex on page scenes, it was written in a way that was still very innocent & conservative. Terms like "hard mass" & "wet middle" which again, fit Bria's character. Anything more vulgar for her wouldn't have worked, but it made the salsa not as spicy for me 🤷🏻‍♀️
.
I loved that we had the full cast of characters, plus some added ones! I truly feel that the side characters in the story really make it all come together! And although this is about war & enemies, it's filled with love. The friends are all very lovinging towards one a other, it's almost enough to give you a cavity with how sweet & adorable it is! If only people were truly this nice & supportive IRL 😮‍💨
.
Overall, a fantastic continuation of the story. I cannot wait to see where this story goes & how it all ends! I know it's NOT going to be an easy road to the finish line, but I'm ready!

This book couldn’t of been written better as it just flows so well as book two in the trilogy. I fell in luv with Rune and Bria in the first book. And to fall even harder in the second one makes me want even more.

This book won’t disappoint even if you haven’t read book one. (I recommend book one as well.) The way the author writes about her characters and the way she explains you feel like your right in the story walking along the pages with them. Her passion resonates through the pages. This book have be all the good book feels. Love, laughs, tears and needing for book three.

I recommend this book to anyone. I am not much of a fae reader and this series has me rethinking the genre. We even have some spice in book two! ☺️

I give this book 4.5 stars ⭐️

Wow. My heart is completely invested in this book. Sylver has a way of writing her stories in a manner that creates a whole internal universe within your soul. She builds her characters in a fashion that creates a mental picture of how these people look, act, and feel. When I tell you Rune and Bria are my all-time favorite couple it resonates with every fiber of my being. In the human realm of humanity, no one could possibly fathom the idea of the Fae walking and being among us right. When Rune and Bria start their adventure into the world of Fake dating for the purpose of relinquishing an arranged marriage, their entire world as they know it shifts onto its axis. Bria a once unsuspecting human intertwines herself in the world of the Fae which we find out in Book One The Fire of the Fox. Preparing to finally meet Mrya, Runes aggressive and monstrous mother, she quickly finds out just how old school his ancient family really is. Through a series of tests and meetings with the Family, Bria is too quick to be outed by all Knowing Mrya. The unimaginable things that were on the horizon for Bria and Rune create a lasting bond between the two. Family comes in all shapes and sizes in this book. Bria and Rune finally realize how imperative that family bond truly is, in order to create peace and love on a united front. I loved every bit of this book. Sylver has created a literal Literary work of art. I will forever be investing my time and energy into all of her books and the story of Rune and Bria.

Book one blew me away but Sylver really stepped it up in book two.

We get to see Rune and Bria’s “relationship” continue to develop and all eyes are on Bria as they head to runes home and family. Myra keeps a CLOSE EYE on Bria, will Bria withstand the scrutiny?

(i love rune i wanna smoosh his cheeks and pet his tail) LOL

Dallas makes me smile, even though she hides BIG secrets (cough cough). I’m glad *someone* gets punched the heck out.

This series is a fun and easy read, easy to follow world building and elaborately written characters. It is easy to visualize the different personalities and characteristics of the group, along with the imagery, with how Sylver writes.

Rune rune rune…. He is 100% in the running for top book boyfriend. I love him, and love getting glimpses of the softer side that he tries so hard to keep hidden. His little brothers and how he is with them makes me MELT.

I need book three … right now …

Definitely one of my top reads of the year !!!!!!!

Whispers of the Water by Sylver Michaela is book two and I don’t even know where to begin with this review. In book 1 she delivered a whole new look into the Fae Universe I’ve never seen before. I thought there was no way possible book two could be as good as book 1 but yet she did it and made it even better. You learned so much about Rune and why he’s the way he is and you see the depth behind him and many of the Characters you’ve grown to love and Bria becomes the FMC Bad*ss I knew she was capable of. I was utterly left with a book hangover. Sylver has a pristine plot, development and writing style that pulls in your heart and soul and keeps it locked there. This one has a bit more spice but it’s perfectly written and sprinkled in. If you haven’t read this series yet, what are you waiting for?!

The author did a great job picking up where Fire of the Fox ended. I personally feel that the character built in this one was drawn out. It was about 40% before a good plot was started when she started training and when everyone discovered what she was. Then, it was a race to protect her because, after all, she was in the Fox's Den. He falls in love with her, and I mean love, sick falls, which is super cute. I honestly felt like some of the spicy scenes were forced and weird. There was one or 2 that was good, but all the teasing and foreplay I don't think was necessary. I loved Fire of the Fox, and it had zero smut. Aside from that, I like a book to have more action and keep me on my toes, which this didn't until after 40% when the drama started to happen.

Ok I have to say if you haven’t yet read Fire of the Fox 🦊 go and read that one ☝️ first. But OMG this book was good. Rune need a pretend girlfriend to bring home to evil Mother(Myra) and damn that woman was evil. So he made a deal with Bria but little did they know they would fall in love with each other just to find out they were sworn enemies! Land and Water Fae have been at war for centuries they have all lost their loved ones and friends because of this. You’ll find some of the characters that you will love and some that you will definitely hate. For me was Dax in both books lol 😂
And before I forget the spice 🌶️I n this book was good 🥵

"The way he looked at me was as if he were taking in the most stunning piece of art he’d ever seen. He made me feel beautiful and confident, despite my insecurities. His gaze empowered me, so I let him take in his fill before he reached for me again, kissing me breathless once more."

This series continues to pull me in!! Secrets will be revealed and relationships tested. Bria comes face to face with her biggest challenge, Myra. Runes mother Myra is testing Bria to see if she is truly a good match for her son. But as their relationship progresses the secrets she hold start to take ahold of her. Will it all workout, or will everything drown?

This book. *sigh* It's so dang good. Am I biased? Sure. But man, oh man. I love this book. The final story that you'll all read was a long one to write, and it has gone through so many changes. Those changes made it the best version of itself, though, and I can't wait for you to see all this book has to offer. It has characters that will have you dying to be a part of their friend group, raw looks into Rune and Bria's lives, and heat that will have you clenching your thighs. WOTW is an amazing sequel to FIRE OF THE FOX, and I hope you guys will love it as much as I loved writing it.

Book 2 in the Broken Fae Trilogy. So good!!
I loved that this book starts right where Fire of the Fox Ends. I absolutely loved the character development and growth in this book for both the FMC and the MMC. We do get more spice in this one which I loved. Easy read. Keep me hooked the entire time and now I am counting down the days until we get book 3!! This book is fantasy/ Fae in an urban setting, forced proximity/ one bed, Spice🔥, and found family.

After recently, finishing Fire of the Fox I was so excited and honored to be able to read the ARC.

I have loved this series and again this was a book that I could not put down. I absolutely love the way the relationship between Bria and Rune evolved in this book. As well as Bria learning so much about herself. I will definitely be recommending it to all of my friends.

What a fantastic follow up on the series! With fire of the fox you get your plot/ storyline, character introductions, backstory etc but with this one you everything you waited for with Rune and Bria. The anticipation and build up was oh so satisfying. Now we are into the family lines and discovering more about Bria and this is so well thought out and planned. I’m just hooked!!! Well done!!

The second book takes place quite quickly after the first book with us joining Bria and crew to meet Rune’s family and convince them that Bria is the mate he wants to stop his mother from matchmaking him any longer.

I once again loved seeing Bria and the boys together again, but this time in a place that would be terrifying for Bria. I think she handled the situation well, and I love how she played with Rune’s feelings to get him to admit how he truly felt. It was quite entertaining 😏

I loved Rune in this one! He changed as this story progressed and really took a step back and changed his views and opinions to be more open minded especially where Bria is. I loved seeing his interactions with his family, especially his little brothers! So precious! Who would have thought such a grumpy and broody fae male would be so adorable with kids 😍

I will admit I didn’t enjoy the sequel as much as the first book, mainly because of Bria and the unnecessary drama that occurred in here, but other than that I really enjoyed it! Thank you to the author for the free digital copy(thank you Sylver 🥰). All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book was tough, as was the first one for me to get through. I found myself skipping entire pages to get through Brias thoughts. It pained me to hear her repeat the same thoughts over and over. My favorite part of this book is the support and love of her friends/found family. Something is keeping me from loving it. Maybe it’s the FMC and her inner monologue. She just annoys me. We didn’t see hardly any action and it seemed the book was mostly the FMC warring with herself on when to be honest with the man and people she loves, repeating all her worries over and over, and reassuring herself with previous convos in the book. We did see Bria and Rune finally agree to go all in together and it was sweet! Book three will be here this weekend so I’m hoping this trilogy ends strong!!

All I can say is this series definitely turned up the spice in book two. I have so many parts that just really stuck with me on this one. Myra’s choice in partner, Bria coming into her powers, Myra’s study, sweet sweet Marlow, THE TWINS oh my goodness the twins are the sweetest little baby beans!!! Y’all, I say it every-time, but just go read it haha

This sequel has the perfect amount of spice for me!

I adore this entire cast of characters. All of them! Such a unique and diverse group.

This is a story about fae, friendship, and forbidden love. The series focuses on Bria, an artist with a dream, and Rune, a foxy guy who can help her achieve it. There's secrets on both sides that could be the undoing of their arrangement. What will happen if/when these characters lose the blinders? Read and find out!

I really enjoyed Fire of the Fox but OMG I couldn’t put this one down! I’ll be keeping my review a bit generic because I don’t want to spoil anything from the first book. 😉

The story picks up right where the horrible cliffhanger left off and the suspense of the secret that was revealed in the last book paired with all the emotions between Bria and Rune has me HOOKED. The tension was delicious and we finally got the spice that I’d been desperately waiting for. I absolutely loved the feels throughout this entire book, especially the found family vibes.

Bria continues to grow into a strong FMC despite all her insecurities, and it made her so relatable. Watching Rune change into the male she always knew he could be made my heart so happy. I love these two so much. 🥹 One of my favorite parts of their relationship is how they communicate while also knowing each other well enough to know when the other needs space. They understand the emotional response but then they are also able to sit down and talk through their problems. Be like Rune and Bria 😆

There’s one part that I knew was coming from the beginning of the plot and when it got there I just could not with all the feels! 🥹🥹 (that’s all I’ll say about that though, if you know, you know!)

I honestly can’t wait for book three. I need to know what happens next! I can’t recommend the Broken Fae trilogy enough.

WOW! Book 2 was INCREDIBLE, and now I'm left wanting more, more, more! I absolutely can not wait to continue this series.

All the characters will have your heart. The world is amazing, as well as the plot twists that hit you out of nowhere! There's found family, touch her and you die, spice, lots of different fae! There's everything you could probably want. Rune has snatched my heart from book one with his character development, okay just kidding he had my heart even when he was an asshole. 😂 I can't wait to see where book 3 leads, I'll be im*patiently waiting 👀

A huge thank you to Sylver for such an amazing series already 🩷

I was so excited to dive into this! I have all the love for book one but I have to say that I enjoyed this one more. Everything about it from the character development, writing, and level of spice elevated for the better. I'm both ready and not for the final book in this trilogy to come out. I need more of Bria and Rune, but I won't be ready to say goodbye to them. I love these characters, all of them. It has such amazing side characters. I love this story and world. That is all.
