This is an incredible story of the evolution of male friendship, and the effects that the passage of time have on the relationships we have with the people around us as well as how the passage of time changes the places that we think we are most familiar with. This is one of the most beautifully written books I’ve ever read and I would recommend it to anyone. The fact that this wasn’t even on Fable and only had like FIVE reviews on Goodreads is straight up criminal. Sydney Lea is a great writer and you can tell that poetry is his main medium from the writing style. The prose is incredible and the story is equally beautiful.

If you consider yourself a fan of “Stoner” by John Williams you are doing yourself a massive disservice by not reading this book. I cannot recommend it enough.
