My abusive ex-boyfriend won't leave me alone, and on top of that, I'm broke.
That's why I start selling my blood to a high-end clinic working for vampires. It's easy money, but I had no idea this would cause a powerful, centuries-old vampire to move heaven and earth...
...just for me.
He wants a ten thousand dollars a month to drink my blood directly from me.
It's nothing more than a contract, and I'm sure we'll be able to keep it professional...
But maybe I'm wrong, because there's something pulling me to him. Something wildly different than easy money.
And what happens if the thing Lev lusts after turns out to be more than just my blood?
Spin-off novel of the King of the night trilogy, coming soon!
This book didn't really make sense. The FMC donates because she needs money to pay of her father's debts and struggles with her scary ex-boyfriend that won't give her up and then meets the MMC because she donates blood to be monitarily compensated to an exclusive blood-donation service for vampires. The MMC drinks the donated blood, finds the source (her) and forces the donation service to give out the FMC's information and to call the FMC to the donation center. The MMC proposes a deal for her to exclusively donate blood by bite solely to him for 10 000$ a month. She declines. He ups it to 15 000$. She declines. .... This woman is in so much debt that is not her own! that multiple 10 000$ months would not cover it even tough her rent is just around 500$. She gets in trouble with her ex boyfriend, gets drunk and calls the MMC up for the contract. She signs for 10 000$. If she were to terminate the contract before the year is up she would have to pay him 100 000$! After the MMC admits that he only made her sign the contract to have a connection with her because she is his mate (even though she is apparently the first human vampire mate) it doesn't really make sense that he didn't up the compensation even more or makes it the 15 000$ he proposed last. But no. Stubborn as she is the FMC does not want to hear anything about them being mates and acts hot and cold with him constantly, because the MMC understandably wants to protect her from her deranged ex-boyfriend who she yet has to report to the police or think about collecting evidence. At one point she even ends the contract and takes on the 100 000$ for breaking it, because she is angry with him... It is never said how much debt she has or why her father left her in debt. But it is always shown that she works very hard to pay it off. It is then really silly that she would rather stay in debt until death and leave her soulmate than handle her emotions well. Not once does she think about why the MMC acts how he does, what it means to him that they are mates, how it impacts him how she behaves and if he is well. They go on one date and have maybe 4 interactions that are detailed in the book. 6 minutes of reading time before the book ends they are on a break because she couldn't accept that the MMC wanted to let her and her friends stay in a safer hotel than in a hostel just days after she was violently assaulted for the second time, because it would insult the friend's mother who paid for the hostel. Strange reasoning. The FMC is really really strongly of the opinion that any change to her life motivated by the MMC even if it would benefit her is just not it. How funny that when the MMC then turns up in NY she immediately jumps the gun with him. Making up, losing her virginity to him, telling the MMC that she loves him and then!
“I think I want you to turn me” I say in a small voice. “No, scratch that. I know I want it.” “It’s the orgasm talking” he murmurs as he rests his back on the pillows, pulling me down with him. “Let’s postpone this decision until you can think straight again, yeah?” “I’ve never been more clear” I reply, lifting my head to look at him in the eye. “I want to be with you for as long as possible. I want to be with you forever, Lev.” He curves his lips into a smart grin. “The dick’s that good, huh?” “It is” I admit without shame. “But it’s not just that. It’s the way you care for me. The way you’re willing to recognize your mistakes and change.”
Girl, be fucking for real. You knew him for a few weeks in which you denied any feelings for him to yourself, started arguments that ended in no contact, never took any help and are comfy with no longer receiving the 10 000$ because you want to make it on your own. That is: pay of the thousand of debts that. Are. Not. Your. Own. and open your own bookshop while going to college. Cough, cough. College debt.
This book was too short and made the plot really lack. Since the plot was their relationship it sucked. She was always thinking only about herself, but also in a strange way because she did not care about her safety or her comfort. It didn't feel like she had any feelings for him except lust and comfort.

This one was a quick and okay read - I liked it, I liked the general premise of this book, though I'm not a huge fan of the insta love and the throwing around big words so soon. 🙈 Additionally, I wasn't really able to connect to the main character at all. Coral seemed immature and I didn't like the fact that she was throwing temper tantrums and getting into fights with Lev for the most unnecessary reasons.
When I read the blurb I thought this book sounded very promising and it wasn't bad, unfortunately though it left me a little diappointed, because I simply expected a little more.
DNF. Short vamprire romance story. This wasn't that good - I skipped ahead multiple times. The story was just very jumpy with no fluidity. The spice was also very spread out and basic, nothing too unique.
DNF. Writing style was not my cup of tea. I got a couple of chapters in and couldn’t take it anymore. The writing is simple. Feels like I’m reading a Wattpad fanfic written by a 13-year-old who read another story and decided to spin it off on their own. I don’t like the corny lines like “I can tell I'm going to like this place” (there was another one but I don’t remember). and not to mention the missing punctuation and misuse of punctuation in the first couple of chapters. Also, this is just a general issue I have with books, why does every MMC look the same…… where’s the diversity, where’s the guys who aren’t tall with black hair and pale skin … PLEASE I'm begging for a drop of originality and uniqueness.
Dnf Interesting plot that could have been a great full novel that took its time for the readers to connect with main characters. Maybe even a pov of his side eg first sip of her blood, seeing her etc just to kinda beef up the story. It just feels rushed like I just started the book and iv already read a number of situations that could have went into detail and am already half way through the book.
It could be a good book for some who just want a quick vampire romance kinda insta love but it just wasn't for me
This was about as run of the mill as you can get for a paranormal romance. There's vampires and fated mates and an abusive ex-boyfriend whose only purpose is to drive the plot *ahem* FMC *ahem* towards accepting the mates situation.
I enjoyed it for what it was, I suppose. The problem comes with the fact that every advancement in the plot felt like we had stuttered forward. Coral donates blood (I guess to a blood bank specifically for vampires? Who knows? It wasn't explained) then she's told to get back to the place for a situation which turns out to be our MMC, Lev, demanding that she become his personal feeder for $10k a month. She denies him. Then she gets fired because of her ex, who then approaches her and tells her about a job, which she accepts. But she also takes up Lev's offer. And Lev seems to just despise her. He is unpleasant towards Coral the entire time, until he's just. . . not.
The story had such weird and uncomfortably uneven pacing. The spice scenes just felt so 1-dimensional since there wasn't any real chemistry or relationship building. Overall, it wasn't terrible. I didn't feel the. urge to DNF it, but I also am not interested in any more books in this universe.
Personally, i enjoyed the book, but i also recognised that it is objectively not a literary masterpiece. Fun mindless read with good pacing and some genuinely funny humour. Although i did find a couple of spelling/grammer errors that took me out of my flow. I also found the ending to be lacklustre. The protagonists seemingly changes her mind on the love interest out of nowhere after she experiences an assault. This seems a bit cliche and lazy to be. At the end of the story the love interest act controlling towards the protagonists. Which causes a fight, yet for some unknown reason the protagonists friends side with the lev over her. However, both characters do show some growth throughout the book. Him by accepting that some of his actions were wrong and her by getting over her trust and commitment issues. Overall, I would recommend it if you're looking for something quick and easy but not for anyone looking for something to get invested in.

This was the first book I read by this author and overall I liked it and am glad I gave it a shot. Our two main characters are pretty well thought out as is the storyline and we even get two side characters who are pretty enjoyable whenever they pop up. This book is relatively short at 178 pages so I didn't expect anything too complex, and it wasn't, but it was a nice relaxing vampire-human romance read. I'd say the biggest flaw is that some plot development felt rushed and the ending definitely was, a little more detail would have been appreciated. Still, this book is a solid way to kill an hour or two, so if the blurb sounds good to you I'd say go for it.
Honestly, I loved the writing, the idea, how the vampire was portrayed and everything, even the characters weren’t as shallow as I suspected for such a short book. But the plot was not there. It was too quick, too short, no actual action or growth from the characters and even if, it felt forced. Like the author rushed through the book, scared the ideas she had would disappear from her mind. This has great, great potential as a book as highly appreciated as the most popular series, but it’s too lacking for now.
Masterpiece. I didn’t even know that this would get my heart so much, I loved every bit of it. This was totally my cup of tea and the writing is so beautiful plus the characters had such a wonderful personality. I’d like to give the author an incredible recognition for that. I highly recommend this, especially for readers who wants to try something new!!!! It’s definitely the bestest thing ever!!!!
writing was sloppy, plotline was barely there and the aspects of it that were did not make it worth reading. the m/c is whiney, her ex is a jerk, she is so obsessed with money but fails to consider her own safety and her 'best friends' are irrelevant and not worth paying much attention to.
this belongs on wattpad. put it there, leave it there.
3.5 Was this great? No, but for a quick novella I had an overall good time. If you want a quick call ready with not too much plot but still enough this might be something. Even though it does include a lot of darker themes, so make sure to read the trigger warning
2.5⭐️ I mean I get the plot and what the author was trying to do, but the writing is just a bit weak. Maybe it’s because I’m trying to come out of the iron flame slump or maybe it’s because the FMC is insufferable.
Very fast paced story, with minimal characters development or overall plot. However an enjoyable short story with good writing. Not my normal choice in terms of topic but definitely enjoyed it
Her friends were the death of me, borderline mean sometimes. Plus some of her arguments with Lev.... Utterly useless... if a man tells me he will pay me obscene amount of money to just watch me studying i wouldn't hesitate...

Me personally I did not like this read. The FMC was so unlikable she was like a petulant child through the whole book. I also didn’t really like how the FMC interacted with theMMC. Honestly, I almost didn’t finish the book.
Okay so this was a really short book. I disliked and liked it. It was very fast, insta love, fmc was annoying. She made a huge deal about everything. Like she jumped from 8 to 100 real fast. Her getting fired was annoying. And Ben had no business in this story.
