Four Demon Warriors. The last Serafim. One dark cell.

Andora:
I'm the last of my kind... a Serafim. I was taken prisoner as a child, and my parents murdered. There is no other known living member of my species to teach me the extent of my powers. All I know is that I can magically heal with my touch. But if Krillon, an evil warlord, wants me, then there must be much more to my abilities than I realize.
Abducted once again, this time from the rescue sanctuary, I'm imprisoned with four males from a violent warrior species. I'm forced to aid in their torture. With their massive size, horns, and tails, I worry that they will pay me back for my reluctant part in their torment, thinking me their enemy. Does Krillon wish to test my healing abilities? Or perhaps he wishes to trigger a dangerous power from within me?

Rylak:
I know that our torture is meant to be the beatings we suffer. However, my pack and I feel that the true nightmare is in the hope that we have found our fated mate in this forsaken pit.
Does it matter when we cannot protect this innocent female as we crave to with all our cursed souls?
Or will Andora’s presence make us fight that much harder to escape and take her with us?

3.75 stars for an enjoyable read

This book was an enjoyable space r.h. where the MC's meet after being imprisoned by the evil overlord of the galaxy. None of the characters are human and there is a fun semi twist on the hidden destiny trope.
I know this book claims to be an omegaverse, but honestly I'm not sure why this was added because it doesn't have any effect on the story. The "supposed" omegaverse elements are a complete afterthought and could have been removed. Now that I'm thinking about it, the fated mate elements were also an afterthought. Were these added after the fact? Curious minds want to know.
So what have we learned? If you are looking for an omegaverse or fated mates book, I'd recommend you keep looking. If you want a quick fun space imprisonment escapist book, this may be for you.

*There is a pretty annoying part of the book where the heroine makes poor decisions because she's "not worthy of their love" and "they deserve better"

3.5 stars!

Okay, look past the ridiculous cover for a moment. If you are looking for a light sci-fi/action read with some omegaverse smut tossed in for good measure, this is for you. They're definitely aliens/monsters, but relatively humanoid with some particularly, uh, agile tails. It's definitely fine as a standalone although I understand there are more in the series. Kept me interested, and was a relatively quick read.

Docked a few stars because it could have used another editing pass, both for grammar/spelling mistakes and also just to trim off some of the redundancy. Also, the part where the FMC thinks she is saving the MMCs by not expressing her love for them (I want to say miscommunication but it's not quite that) drags on and on....for like a good half of the book. Started getting on my nerves after a bit, particularly when the MMCs were more than clear.

Also, no crossed swords. Always a bummer in the omegaverse. Particularly since the MMCs were stuck with nobody but themselves for a long time!

I read this for the alien smut (tails, horns, knots) but the story was pretty fun too. A large portion of the story takes place in a prison cell where our heroine is tasked with healing the captives over and over. How she replenishes her reserves is half the fun.

I enjoyed this for a lighter read, despite the violence it wasn’t so descriptive as to be disturbing. Unfortunately this story suffered from three issues:

1. They killed the bad guy early on. But did they make sure he was dead? Of course not.
2. When they all escape prison the heroine develops an annoying case of “they’d be better off without me, why would they want me”, despite the guys being more than clear about what they want, this goes on for too long.
3. The typical hold out in the harem flipped his switch in a matter of hours.

It could have done with some tightening up but it’s different from what I usually read so I had fun with it, and the guys were all growly possessive and sweet.

I had tried to read this book before but had become bored. But i tried it again almost a whole year later, and i liked it. Is it the most amazing book I've read? No, but it was enjoyable. While cute and a little dark, the storyline was interesting, and characters were well put together.

A few scenes were missing that i thought would be included, like more other women drama (which im not disappointed by), but i was hoping for a more in-depth mating scene. Maybe Im to use to spice.

Low spice, RH, alien, kidnapped, three, fated mates, weapon, powers, space travel, betrayal, past trauma, and virgin males.

Having read many of Yve's paranormal and fantasy romance books, I was excited to try her paranormal science-fantasy, Chained Fates. I chose this as a book club read with my friends, and they all agreed that this was quite a thirsty read!

I have only read a small handful of sci-fi romances, but I enjoyed this one! The harem reminded me a bit of the one in the Bewitching Monsters series. I just knew everyone would eventually come around to accepting Andora. Per usual with any book I read, I found myself becoming wildly frustrated with the miscommunication trope, but I know that's just me being the outside reader with all the available knowledge. Without spoiling anything, I adored Andora in her rage era. She was strong, vengeful, brave and I was living for every word on the page. Most of the time, she was annoyingly naïve, but in light of her very sheltered life, it made sense.

I think my biggest gripe was that the book ended (on a HEA) without me firmly knowing what species Andora was; that was a burning question throughout the book. Is she a Seraphim or is she something else? Is she truly the last? There were a few references to other protector species but I don't feel like that was finally determined. Other species were clearly afraid of her and knew she could be a weapon. Is that due to their knowledge of the Seraphim race? Why don't any of the Devilks know of Seraphims?

Other than my innate need to answer every question I have while reading, I thought this had a good balance of plot and spice. This book explored the Omegaverse and some spicy fun topics like knotting and marking. It certainly got me out of my summer reading slump!

This is my first book by this author, but when I read the mention of aliens, alphas and omega in the description, I thought it was definitely something for me. Andorra is the last of her species. As a youngling she was held on a slave ship where she was beaten and tormented daily. Since she lost both of her parents at a very young age, she never had the opportunity to learn who she really was or what power she had. Thanks to this story, her character is very interesting. Together with Andorra, we can discover her potential and destiny. Rylak, Halk, Dek, and Terek are also very well created. Even though they have standard alpha characteristics, each one is different. We have a cross-section from empath and a sweet romantic to grumpy one keeping others at bay. Together, they make the perfect mix.
I liked that there is no instalove here. The heroes and heroine are initially distrustful of each other. The fact that they were locked together in one cell does not have a positive effect on their first impression. As the story unfolds, they find out that they can be more to themselves if they dare to take the chance. The action in the book flows smoothly with a few twists. I was definitely a fan of the idea of how they can replenish their own powers :) Although the book refers to the behavior of alpha and omega, the sex scenes do not overwhelm the whole plot. For my liking, some scenes could have been more spicy, which is why I give it 4.5 stars.

4.5/5⭐️ 4/5🌶

For those who love:
• Multiple POV
• Omegaverse
• Why-choose
• Sci-Fi Alien Romance
• Fated Mates
• Insta-love

This book was fantastic! I wanted a spicy slow-burn alien romance and I got it, full of angst and chemistry. The world created in this book was unique and intriguing, and I loved the differences between the four guys. Despite being in the same pack, Rylak, Terek, Halk and Dek had different pasts which were reflected in their actions and thoughts. Each of them showed their love for Andora differently and I love that despite 3 of the 4 willing to accept the insta-love feelings, Dek took longer to warm up and accept the idea of a mate. I think I’ve found my new favourite alien race; Huge and red with horns. How could you resist? And wow! What they can do with their tails!🌶 I adored Andora as the main character. I loved her growth from relatively meek healer to bad-ass saviour. I loved the uniqueness of how Andora met the guys, and that once freed from the prison the guys never wavered in their feelings and hopes they had for Andora to be their mate. The alpha/omega dynamic seemed more like an afterthought toward the end of the book and I personally think this book is great as just a why-choose alien romance.
I am definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

This is a why choose omegaverse sci fi romance where the omega is not aware of her powers or that she's an omega due to being taken as a child from her parents and her race of people being largely extinct due to wars in the universe. She is taken when their sanctuary is raided and then used to heal some prisoners in at a prison while her skills are tested and they wait for the area warlord to return.

Overall, I thought this story was enjoyable. The FMC is extremely naïve when it comes to males due to being raised at the mostly-female sanctuary and it leads to a lot of miscommunications along the way. Perhaps it was due to my age that eventually these got a bit tedious and predictable. I liked the relationship generally between the packmates and thought there was a pretty good explanation on the worldbuilding, even though we don't end up needing much information about their home world in the end.

I think this story was a good read and with a few less uses of the miscommunication (especially in the neighborhood of "oh you were aroused by that? I thought you were mad" variety) I think this could have easily made it a 4 star for me. It was a standalone and there is another standalone in the same overall world, and I'll be reading that one to check it out.

Great book - lots of action to keep you reading. Fighting, danger and smoking chemistry - oh my! Good guys, bad guys and all the feels.

All of the characters were well developed and unique, which I loved. The book moved quickly for me. I totally stayed up late to finish it as I couldn't stop until the end. Andora was loveable - small but mighty. Each of the warriors, Rylak, Terek, Halk & Dek, had their own strengths & flaws ensuring each had a unique personality & position in the relationship. No spoilers, so I'll encourage you to read it yourself. You really don't want to miss this one.

My one issue: There was a 'warning' about this being an Omegaverse book, such that it included a link for reference. Omegaverse are some of my favorite books. The chemistry between the guys & Andora was great and there was definitely pleasuring for Andora (again, no spoilers). However, the actually claiming & heat didn't happen until 90+% into the book. I understand why - the circumstances, but that part was a disappointment for me.

Strongly recommend for paranormal RH fans.

I was lucky enough to read this when it was on Amaazon Vella. The suspense to wait for each episode after I caught up on the already published ones was nerve wracking.

Luckily, you won't have to wait!! This story is great. Andorra is the last of her kind (not that we know what her kind REALLY is), but she's being protected, or so she thought on a planet full of women that were previously 'used and abused'.

Deception happens, and our sweet girl finds herself on a ship locked up with 3 alien men that look like nothing she has seen before, with captors that aren't kind in the least, with the threat of the man who did some horrible things that you'll find out about directly when Andorra was young.

I could keep telling you how and why this book is awesome, but then WHY would you need to read it?? So if you like a slow burn romance with RH theme, this is the one for you. The end is so sweet and I will say this, there is a HEA.

Loved it!

Love the idea of a race called the Seraphim but really hope she's not the last. I also like the Devilks and find it amusing that they have that name and have horns, tails and red skin as well as being thought of as evil, cursed beings when they are actually always supposed to fight for justice and against evil. Of course, traitors can be anywhere.

As an honest critique I have to question why the main character could kill the bad guy when she doesn't know her own capabilities but her adult parents knowing what they were capable of doing couldn't kill him and were killed by Krillon instead. Maybe it is the fated mates aspect and her parents didn't have that. I don't know its sci-fi fantasy with a happy ending so it doesn't really matter.

There is always something to criticize but I prefer to just look for what I like and I like this story of finding redemption, healing from wounds both physical and psychological and especially finding love and a true purpose which this story provides. I'm looking forward to more in the series.

I enjoyed the story and all the main characters.
Andora was such a naive and sweet heroine, but with her angel-ness it fit pretty well and she wasn't extremely stupid like most heroines like that are, she was just a bit too trusting. Her guys were great, well, with the exception of Dek, but he did redeem himself with his later behavior.
The plot was interesting, but I wouldn't be mad if the book was a little longer, some events could get more time and the universe could be a bit more fleshed out. I was a little disappointed that they didn't go back to the sanctuary to see how everyone was. We got introduced to Skerek and Kek who were such good guys, volunteering to fight for freedom of total strangers. Then there was Quar, the freedom raider, who knew Andora and seemed invested in her wellbeing. And our heroes left all of them without even checking on them when Andora got better, sad.

This was an interesting read. I liked the world-building because there were some very cool things with the different species. I enjoyed the plot too, and the chemistry between the 4 MMCs and Andora was great! However, the lack of communication pissed me off. The MMCs and FMC were different species and had different customs but didn't talk about it, which led to misunderstandings. You would like that in the galaxy filled with many species, they would realize that they need to talk about their action to explain what they mean to one species vs another. Also, they didn't tell her she was an omega until the last second, even though she was feeling the effects?? Also, the ending left a lot to be desired. There were a lot of loose ends that weren't tied up, even though this was advertised as a standalone.

It was an ok read. The storyline was interesting and different but I found the female lead too annoying at times as she was making too many assumptions. Also, I didn't like how the major in charge betrayed them as the male race was potrayed more than a few times as the good guys. I get everyone would have a bad person but their race was built to fight evil so it goes against their nature. So this took away from the story for me. Especially as he was going to use the money for himself only. The way the author potrayed the males was the best part of the story. An Alpha that protects but doesn't dictate and let's the female choose and sees her as their equal and not just a baby making machine!

Will read next books in the universe if the author writes them!

I loved this book. It's the first book I've read by this author. The story was well written and well paced. I was captivated from the start and couldn't put it down. I loved the characters. Andora is in a bad situation, but kept her head. I really liked her kindness and her power to heal. I also really liked the four males she was thrown in a cell with. Rylak, Halk, Dek, and Terek each had different personalities and their voices were easy to tell apart. They didn't trust her and she didn't trust them. But they will have to if they are going to survive their situation and have any hope of escape. Excellent book! I look forward to reading more from this author. 5 stars.

Reverse harem alien omega. The book plot idea was a good one, the prison atmosphere was good. But then it dragged on a little. She’s very naiive but she’s meant to be as she was sheltered first as being kidnapped at 6 and daily beaten (not detailed and no flash backs), then once rescued & put in a sanctuary (again no details of the rescue and no flash backs). I guess, I would have given more details about the life she had as a young kid/early adult than the lots and lots of pages of her thinking she’s not good enough. I get it the reason for I’m not good enough but I feel like too much time there not enough elsewhere.

Andora is the last of her kind. She was rescued as a child and placed in the sanctuary. When the administrator dies and a new one replaces him, she suddenly finds herself captured and sold again. She is put in a cell with 4 Devilks and told that she needs to heal them so they can be tortured again. I liked that her relationship with each of the guys was unique. Andora is sweet, but she was also fierce. The one thing that did frustrate me at times, was that Andora and the guys assumed they knew how the other was feeling, and a there were a couple times, I just wanted them to talk, but overall, I really enjoyed the story and will be checking our book 2!

Darkness and Light

Set in the Omegaverse, this story is about so much more than knotting and nesting. Andora initially bonds with her mates when she heals them in prison; starting a relationship under such conditions is tricky at the best of times, but with the rebellion ongoing and the evil warlord hunting them, growing as a pack is fraught with trouble. I loved that this story builds and builds their relationship throughout, making it fuller and more meaningful when things finally work out. My first book by Yve Vale, but certainly not my last!

Unique and amazing

I wasn't sure I would like this book since it had the sci-fi element to it but I was hooked from the beginning! It doesn't take long to get into the action and it does well to keep you intrigued. I felt connected to the characters and was invested in their outcome. It was refreshing to read a different kind of RH book. Even though this was my first book by this author it will not be my last! Take a chance on this book if you're unsure like I was. It is definitely worth it!

This is my first book by this author, and when I read this was an Omegaverse book, i couldn't resist. Our FMC has gone though some really hard things when she's young and now we find her captive with 3 others. There is deception, betrayal, anger but they try to work through their issues and make a relationship if they can just be brave enough to try. Decent spice and plot. Would recommend to those that like a little darker omegaverse story.

What a fantastic alien sci-fi romance but be warned there is a bit of violence especially toward a female and this is Andora’s, Rylak’s, Halk’s, Terek’s and Dek’s story. The warlord Krillon has decimated worlds and killed the Devilk’s females the guys want revenge but they were captured in a trap so now they are in a prison chained to a wall then Andora is sent in to heal their wounds so they can get beaten again. Fantastic story I loved it and I highly recommend this book.

I wanted to like this romance so much. It was a combo of two of my favorite romance genres, omegaverse and sci-fi. However, the writing, characterization, and relationship development in this novel was really clumsy and somewhat nonsensical, so I was unable to enjoy it. What a shame, since I liked the premise so much. The execution was just lacking.

Outstanding Story!!!!!!!

I throughly enjoyed this story. It has a lot of action, suspense, and drama. There are betrayals that definitely adds to the story. It is extremely well written and developed. Andora was so very strong and yet kind and compassionate. It has some moments that you can just feel their pain and sadness. But then, you have those moments were you feel their happiness and laughter. It definitely a fantastic story that is absolutely a must read.

Pretty good

This book reminds me a lot of the IPB series that I read. I can’t say I ever thought I would be into aliens, but yup I am 😂. This book had a good story, and some spice but it wasn’t over the top. I like the different personalities of all the men, and how they each evolve throughout the story. I did feel that the big plot issue was resolved way too easily, but that may just be me. It had a cute ending, and left enough room for potential in this world.

Chained Fates was an Interesting sci fi romance that had me on the edge of my seat as the main female lead faces one harrowing situation after another.

The four alphas she is imprisoned with soon become her life line. I couldnt put this book down.

This book had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I feel like I went through all of the emotions reading this. I am hooked. I need to know what happens next to Andora and all of her mates. I loved how she came to each of them and how her love for them developed. Especially Dex, I loved their dynamic. This was so good.

I loved this book.

I really enjoyed this book about a woman finding her mates and learning more about herself. She was captured very young and knows very little about her people. Being forced into a prison cell with these four men and forced to heal them helped her learn more about her gifts.

Enjoyable read, but as you can tell by the blurb, this one starts off quite rough. The FMC is a super rare species and able to heal with her touch. She also has other abilities that get discovered as the book progresses. The four MMC are heat/light loving species called Devilk, and even though the Blurb just showcases Rylak's POV, each of the other guys likewise narrates chapters.
