Twenty years ago humanity was nearly driven to the brink of destruction because of the choices of one man. Three years after, Kira Nightraven witnessed her mother's death at the hands of vampires hunting for a man said to be responsible for that destruction. Today, Kira and her twin sister Lily stand in front of the man who led the rebellion which has protected mankind from their immortal enemy. This man was Marcus Harvey, Commander of Humanity’s Last Stand and their father.
That was only the beginning of Kira’s nightmare. Now she must hunt for answers where all others had failed and understand a truth about herself that was hidden before she was born. Struggling against who and what she is, Kira fears what she will uncover will tear Carmilla and her apart. As she learns more about what and who started the war, Kira’s loyalties are put to the test as the line between good and evil are blurred.
Bonds of friend, family and foe are tested as Kira begins to realize that the consequences of her choices will affect the future of everything and everyone around her. Struggling to know what choice will protect those she cares about, Kira makes a deal with the devil to awaken a new and ancient power that was once burned and buried in the past by the very ones who created the immortal.

Just when I think it can't get any better, Meghan proves me wrong! Soul of the Immortal is jam packed with action, betrayal, heat and a little angst thrown in - mostly for the reader, because you're on the edge of your seat wondering what Kira will do next. The arc development for Kira's character is outstanding, and I loved discovering yet another new facet to her personality in this book. This story left me in shreds, and I may have lost a couple nights sleep over it - in all the best ways a great book is able to accomplish! I can't wait for the next one!
The story is just as good as the ones before. So many questions have been left unanswered, and I hope I don’t have to wait too long for answers.
I don’t believe that after everything in the series so far, that Kira doesn’t get a chance to be happy. I hope that this isn’t the end of Carmilla and Kira, it would be… disappointing.
There were still quite a few grammatical errors, not quite so many as the previous books, which is the only reason this book doesn’t get 5*
Bring on the next one!

I love the books in this series. So much depth to these characters and storylines. I truly hope the next book doesn’t leave us with another cliffhanger and bring back Carmilla and Kira. I read the books because of them, and no way to give them an ending like that, not cool.
Waited a whole year for this book and was not disappointed!! Now all I need the next one cause Lucy you have some explaining to do! Such a great read! However it left me with more questions than answers and man do I need those answers like right NOW! I can’t wait for the next book in the series and I really hope I won’t have to wait long!
I love this series. It’s well written with characters that move you and make you want to go into the pages and fight, weep, and be part of every chapter. I look forward to the next one.
