Praise for the previous edition "An extraordinary and important book. Its approach to evidence-based practice (EBP) is very sound, realistic, and generous to the complexities of everyday practice. Reading and using this book is a must." —Haluk Soydan, PhD , School of Social Work, University of Southern California "This book has the potential to change practice in the helping professions. Rather than focusing on how to conduct research, Practitioner's Guide to Using Research for Evidence-Based Practice instead shows readers how to understand the literature.... Read this book as part of an MSW class. It offers exactly what the title says. It's a really easy to use and detailed book on EBP, and I definitely utilized the information within for my class. I obviously didn't love my entire reading experience because it was for a class, but I would absolutely recommend this as a starting point for anyone wanting to learn more about EBP. For a textbook - this is super easy to read and the information is very easily applied to practice. I'm definitely keeping my copy to refer back to as needed.
