All nurses are angels, but not all nurses have wings. Wylie does. She just doesn’t know it yet. Reeling from the loss of her family, emergency room nurse Wylie is destined to be the catalyst of the apocalypse. As she grieves, angelic abilities surface. Wylie learns her true identity and the terrible prophecy that comes with it. Only two men can help her now, the human doctor with whom she has an inhuman connection and the angel who has searched for her since the original sin. With them at her side, she delves deeper into the world of angels and their fight for freedom. Soon Wylie realizes the prophecy may be a self-fulfilling one. With heart-pounding action and unforgettable characters, I Am Armageddon is a gripping page-turner that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.

This book is so good.
Its very intense and serious. And not like other fantasy books I've read.
There are no jokes or funny moments in it at all.
There is a lot of action tho, and also some smut here and there.
The storyline is amazing and a bit sad.
The writing style is very good.

Let me just start by saying that I was lucky enough to be part of a beta read team for this book. Thank you Cherie!

This is an urban fantasy with a story that has its own identity, easily one of the most original plotlines I have read in a while. It has it all, a good story, with characters that you love and some that you hate that you love, with just the right amount of spice.

The writing is nice and easy. It pictures the two realms, one of the humans and one of Angels and their Muses. The connection between those two was brought through flaws and virtues that bounds Angels to the human world.

The story is set to start with different characters and their life stories, each of them interesting in its own way and as the story unfolds, we see the character growth that envelops the world building making it richer with every chapter.

The story is filled with all kinds of love, with pain as a driving force and a search for the meaning of life as an individual and as a higher force that is responsible for the life of others.
While reading I did have some of my predictions, but I was wrong and that is what is giving me good book vibes :)
I really enjoyed the whole story and its uniqueness with the mysterious veil that is raised bit by bit and slowly fills you in with the story and then you start connecting the dots.

Great story, I strongly recommend reading this one.

I had the pleasure of reading 'I Am Armageddon' through several different stages and love seeing the characters and story evolve. Cherie does an incredible job at taking the reader along the journey of both humans and angels. The life events that happen to Wylie are heartbreaking and amazing to read; Cherie does an incredible job at illuminating hope in her journey to the discovery of what her purpose is. The characters that weave their way in and out of Wylie's life have their own beauty and life that show Cherie never misses a beat when it comes to intricate storytelling. Absolutely would recommend this incredible and unique story!

I am a Beta Reader for this author and Anyway….wow!!! I don’t think anything I say in this review could do this novel justice! I loved it and I mean I was completely drawn in by it. It was almost spiritual. It was quite breathtaking really… you could feel the emotions of each character as you were writing. Such an amazing read and I hope it isn’t the last we hear of Wylie. I can’t wait to see and read this book when it’s been published.

I'm not crying, you're crying.
I beta read this book and I loved it.
This book is so heartfelt and emotional. It was unique with the system of angels and magic. Not typical magic though, which was refreshing. It follows multiple points of view of angels and their muses, through their personal lives as well as the sort of political conflict around Armageddon and angels who want free will.
Definitely recommend this book!

I am a beta reader for this author and found I Am Armageddon to be a unique concept with well-developed and real-feeling characters. The storytelling is rich, the pace is quick, and I can't wait to re-read this novel when it gets published. The scale of the story (it's about Armageddon, after all) is blended smoothly with intimate, personal narrative.

This was quite an emotional and thought provoking book, the world building and attention to detail is really good. I love when an authors words can help me paint vivid pictures in my head.

The plot is well laid out flows at a slow/ medium pace due to nature of the story. There are many twists and turns and revelations and secrets. It will definitely keep you intrigued. There are quite a few triggers though so do proceed with caution

The characters are complex and really likeable. Told from multiple points of view. Wylie is the lead female character who is a feisty, kind hearted nurse who experiences tragic loss. Looking to put her broken pieces back together is David, who is a doctor at her hospital and then there is the Angel Samael who is conflicted about his feelings for her. Essentially it’s a love triangle and who Wylie will end up with us still unclear. The side characters are also fantastic, especially Lex and Gabriel.

Ends on a cliffhanger which will make you intrigued enough to read more.

If you enjoy epic urban fantasy romance with a feisty female coming into her own, angels, broody heroes you’ll enjoy this.

4.5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ for me

I absolutely loved this book. It had fantastic plot, characters with substance, and had an emotional hold during certain parts that I won’t forget. It was also very funny in parts and had my level of sarcasm, which is hard for me to find but I loved it.
Check for any trigger warnings, as this goes into some sensitive subjects, but nothing completely gruesome or unmanageable for regular readers of this genre.

Vibe & Feels Review
I cannot put into words just how amazing this beautifully written read is.

There is plenty ocurring and this story didn’t lack any action or suspense. The author kept me guessing. Luring me in with secrets, suspected lies and truths and of course dark brutal twisting twists. chk tws & cws

I could not put this read down, from the prologue to the very first chapters I was certainly hooked to continue page turning.

The emotions in this read were so powerful, initially my heart truly hurt for ER Nurse Wylie.
While seeking answers to recent brutal life changing events invokes a reactionary response within herself triggers a transformation that is powerful and consuming. Having now beta read book 2, Wylie has my utmost respect and awe - As I want this underdog to come out on top - on the challenges.

As that unfolds the storyline branches out to support the bigger picture with introduction of all the players in dominating solid plotlines.

Plenty of twists and angst. Great characters, excellent dialogue and smoking hot chemistry

BOOK 1
📚🔖🎨Cover and ART work - I have had the opportunity to see what is coming 🤫 the book will be a wonderful visual beast- with much time taken by the Author to support your reading journey visually too.

⚫️World Building - guide included. However you are introduced and explained as character themselves learns the how in this world. This is on the Authors website.

⚪️GoodvsEvil, Morally gray or villain read? all it interchanges relevant to plot hmmmm Ok I admit Bad boy G is Vexy hot Villain... im not sure if I feel yet if hes pitch black Villain yet!- but close but im got it for badder boy R- man(hes a Dominon highest ranking Angel) - he is pitch black for sure.

⚫️Pacing- The adrenaline starts up and just keeps at a solid pace..The read is a page turner.

⚪️Quotes I loved and there is so many

“Samael, I believe this angel is flirting with me. Can you remind her I have not traded my soul for free will?”“Angels don’t flirt.” Samael raised his brows.
and
“My name.” Laoth smiled. “Did you hear that, Binah? I’ll always be inside you.”“I’m sure that comforts her,” Samael said, allowing himself a half-smile.

♨️Bookboyfriends/Alphahole vibe - Hmmm what can i reveal...yes yes yes book boyfriend - for me Starts with S and G!!!!! & Laoth androgynous Valkerie is very much on my radar too.

⚔️💪Strong FMC - Yes you feel the eventual rise of the underdog here & I enjoyed the right balance of the raw toughness & vulnerability expressed.

😍Whose my Fav character thus far- Starts with L!!! & I am developing Villain hawtness for a character that starts with R.

🔥Steam - 18plus and on page and relative to the persons relationship - very heightening and sensual! I found nothing uncomfortable for me.

plus on live social media the Author strong hinted after the trilogy 5 book standalone Fallen series will commence.Connected to the Trilogy...Exciting and Makes it so worth hopping into this world.

🤗Tropes we all love and enjoy
-Diversity Rep

Not for me, not bad, not great, an average read.
The first several chapters have so many character introductions that I wrote some down at one point. Trying to figure out how they connect is usually a nice mystery but this had me more confused. There were some plot holes I would have liked context to, to better impact the ending climax but because some bigger "Whys" were left unsaid it didn't feel as impactful to me.
I understand this is a trilogy so the answers left unsaid are probably covered, but I wasn't left with a strong enough feeling to continue.
I did like the story and premise, I see where it's going and if anyone is already a fan of Angel tropes then give it a shot.
I don't suggest the audiobook. The physical is better and makes it easier with the consistent character shifts and action. The MMC voice actor did great and had an emotional range, but the FMC actor didn't have the hard hitting emotion behind the battles or struggles.

3.5🌟 rounded up
I want to start this out by saying I honestly don't remember signing up for this arc, but the story looked interesting so I thought I'd give it a chance. The overall plot was good, and I liked the angel elements. The medical drama part wasn't really for me, but I liked the characters.

It goes without saying that the magical worlds of a fantasy should be imagined with a rich thoroughness of worldbuilding that gives insight into the author’s creativity, but Cabrera applies that same imaginative texture to her human world, leaving the reader with a sense of realism. And complex emotional resonance. She's rendered a world that’s familiar but lush—even in the bleakest, grittiest moments. Her perceptiveness and honesty about the human condition is what brings this book to life.

Armageddon takes you places you don’t expect. It starts in a dark place, emotionally (understatement), and even while the book progresses through to an eventual hopefulness, the incremental shifts, again, bring that familiar to the fantastical. Fantasy is ultimately about creating a world we can recognize because of the feelings and . As Wylie tests her boundaries, we get to see her shed her human skin. And as she moves beyond the sadness and grief, never completely sloughing off her loss, but expanding to include her newer, fuller spectrum of possibility.

I also find it interesting that Cabrera has divorced the entire concept of angelic beings from Abrahamic faiths. She's done the fantastical worldbuilding, too, in that way. Remove what you think you know about the angel realm, because the author has superimposed her own unique lore on subject.

I can't wait to continue her journey.

This was so good! I dont read much fantasy so this was my first book with Angels of any kind and it was fantastic - one of my favorite shows is Supernatural and this was giving the same vibes but with a grays anatomy flare! It was a rollercoaster of emotions with amazing attention to detail in the overall worldbuilding, characters and plot - I have never read anything like this before!

This story is told in three POVs, they are all unique in their own way yet the same all at once, when the details and storylines started to come together as the story went on it was amazing. The POVs represents different sides to the battle which I loved. The characters development added so much depth as well, as more of the story was uncovered. I personally found myself loving even the "bad guys" you'll know what I mean when you read this because Cherie spun them in a way that had me in a chokehold from start to finish I found myself wanting to know more of the history behind sides, know more lore and put all those puzzle pieces together as I read!

This was such a unique and emotional story, and I cannot recommend it enough! Thank you for letting me be part of your street team and being an ARC reader - im so increadibly proud of all the hard work you have put into this book and I cannot wait to see how the rest of the story unfolds!

“After a personal trauma awakens dormant angelic abilities, an emergency room nurse finds herself responsible for bringing about the apocalypse.”

I’ve never read anything like this, and i say that in the best way possible. This story is very unique and original and definitely well thought out. I loved the multiple, connected storylines and how it was easy to keep up with but also wonderfully complex. Despite the very action filled and fast plot, I never once was confused or lost. The story is filled with pain, love and grief and I loved the raw and real feelings in this. My FAVORITE aspect to this book is the fact that you can’t exactly tell who’s the villain. Getting the POV from the “Villain” really had me questioning if he was really even the villain. I loved every single character and enjoyed reading their development. There’s so much beautiful growth in this story! Another favorite of this book is the plot twists. I constantly tried to predict what was gonna happen next, and I was wrong EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. and i loved it.🥰✨

-Do I recommend this book? YES.
-Should you order it when it comes out May 31st? YES.
-Am I rating this 5 stars? YEP!

I Am Armageddon was such a magical and mesmerizing book. First off, C.L. Cabrera took me on an exploratory journey into a realm that I would of never thought of or ever seen in a book. This was such a unique read that it is now on my #1 book read of the year.

The main protagonist is Wylie who is a emergency nurse who has a beautiful life with her soulmate of a husband and her little boy. When tragedy happens she is thrown into a new world and a realization that she has abilities but doesn't realize where and how these things are happening. She meets a doctor named David who helps her through the tragedy of her family and helps her with the new knowledge that she is an Angel and there is a prophecy that has been laid out for thousands of years. She is ARMAGEDDON.

I Am Armageddon was so beautiful, sad, and funny. This read had me on the edge of my seat and had my emotions all over the place. I am so excited to start book two!!!
I enjoyed this read and thank you to C.L. Cabrera for such an extraordinary book!!!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I am Armageddon was such a good! The world building, the attention to detail and the storyline were simply amazing and helped me imagine the book more clearly in my head. The plot flowed nicely with a medium pace that kept me entertained. The twist and turns of the story were so intriguing and there were parts that truly had me laughing. It was an emotional ride for sure and I enjoyed every single moment of this. Congratulations to the author for writing such an amazing book and can’t wait to continue reading more from them!

Yes!! C. L. Cabrera did it! Loved the main characters and the emotion behind them. Cabrera's attention to detail is fantastic- I think I learned a lot about the medical field and loved being brought in as an invested reader as a nurse's life is, dare I say, enhanced, in this story. The world is both relatable while also fantasy, which Cabrera does so well! The pacing of the story is perfect too as it jumps from different character perspectives and to different places but I never felt lost, just excited to read what came next.

Okay so, usually I am not crazy about third person pov’s but I absolutely loved this book. You have Wylie who is so strong and amazing , and David who’s just so sweet and king, lex who is a bada$$ and has been through a lot as well. I love and hate Gabe lol but he is his own person and it’s unapologetically. Which makes it hard to hate him. This book def has one hell of a cliffhanger, and it gave me so much anxiety 😆 so that’s a good thing. It does hit your feelings as well, I don’t want to ruin the book so I can’t say why . But I absolutely loved this and I can’t wait to read the other 2

I fell so hard for this book!

I Am Armageddon not only has fabulous writing that pulls you in, but characters that feel so real with true duality a backstories that make them feel whole. This book will have you needing to know what happens next, and you feel like you are in the book slowly discovering and piecing things together with the characters. It has the feels of if Anne Rice had gotten together with the creators of Supernatural to make a unique Angel universe! You will cry, and laugh and spend days wondering what is in store for these characters!

I was fortunate enough to receive this book as a Beta read, and I am so glad I did. C.L Cabrera does such a great job of weaving real life with fantasy, and with elements of love and triumph I felt myself rooting for all the characters even the "villains". Wylie's (our FMC) strength is continually shown throughout the book as she has to deal with the unthinkable early on and her growth, determination and compassion are her strongest traits!
There is a list of trigger warnings which I appreciate, so if you are interested check them out! <3

By the end I wasn’t sure how I felt emotionally. Angry, excited, stunned, and needing more. I recommend reading all the trigger warnings then diving into the book with a heart of steel. This emotional rollercoaster will leave you unsure of which side you are cheering for.

On the other hand character ranking (personal):

I love Gabriel and that is that.
Lex is number two for me.
Wylie is a close third.
Then Samuel.
Then dead last even underside characters is David.
And bellow that is he who should not be named. XD

Anyways I love this book.
