The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom offers a vast world full of varied quests, challenging puzzles, ferocious monsters, and unique sights to behold. Working closely with Nintendo®, we have created the authoritative, all-encompassing guide that this game so richly deserves. We have explored all features and facets of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom with a single mission: to help you discover and enjoy every moment of this game.
Piggyback has spent 20 years publishing premium guides for a select number of seminal game franchises. Their focus on a choice number of publications per year enables them to maximize the potential of each book.
I’m old and therefore I still prefer printed strategy guides even if I still end up on YouTube. The Piggyback guide for Breath of the Wild (BotW) was a phenomenal resource in helping me pick up the game quickly - I had not played a video game in over 12 years when I finally purchased the Switch this past year.
I did notice some weird compression on the images and screenshots compared to the BotW guide and overall the printing seems of lesser quality - the binding is better however. These aren’t collectibles to me, I use them while I play so they do take some wear and tear.
If you want to tackle Tears of the Kingdom confidently and for some reason want to buy a printed guide, I suggest you get this one. ✌️
Just as useful as the Breath of the Wild one if not more, this guide really sets you in to uncover the secrets that lie in the Hyrule of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Definitely a must-read if you want to know all the secrets of the game.
Here is a little post on the complete guide to the must-see, played, loved "Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom"! I only half assume the fact that I read too little in July (500 pages in 1 month 🫠) so I had no article ready except this one.. It’s a book anyway!
I played "Breath of the Wild" and I loved it. But then the 2nd, we have a whole universe of gap. 3 different maps, a bunch of quests, treasures, armor (fairies still hideous) and glitchs. But that I deliberately do not mention, I used only one, preferring to play all natural! The guide is too well done, the parts are clear, the pages hyper qualitative, the instructions are complete and then guys, you have the list of materials necessary to up your stuff to the max and that, it’s priceless! The exhaustive list of sanctuaries, main and secondary quests, not to mention missions, allowed me to almost finish the game. I did not do all the side quests and missions, nor mounted the armor to the max, I could have searched the game a little more, we agree. Using a big physical guide, rather than listing your progress on a paid site after 100 registrations, is much better. And I love the guides, in a collection it’s perfect!
I will stop singing the praises of both the game and the guide, I strongly advise you xD
I have the BotW Creating a Champion special edition. I thought this would similar, and it is sort of, but it's also a lot cheaper in quality. The photo quality inside is poor and the images are dark, it doesn't look good. The font is also ridiculously small in the places. Not an easy book to read after hours of screen time playing the actual game. There is no fold out map, only very awkward grids and thumbnail maps.
There is a lot of information in here, but it's not presented in a lovely or very useful way. ToTk deserves better.
Much like my review for the other guidebook, this shit would really come in handy whenever I actually get to playing this game, if I ever get in the mood for Zelda again. I just haven’t been interested in getting around to it; I’ve been preferring to watch YouTube videos of Zelda games.
As I haven’t played the game yet, I can’t say for sure if this is lacking some information like the other guide, but it’s got lots of information like the other, so I am gonna say maybe.
Loved it!!! Really good and detailed guide for the story and the world of Tears of The Kingdom! Definitely recommend to any Zelda fan, looking to 100% the game.
