This was fun; I liked so much of what the newer X-Men stuff has going on with Krakoa and Mars. Captain America is cool but not really one of my top dudes. Anyway, it was free. Read it.
Uncanny Avengers has the Avenger and X-Men teams intermingled. In the first story, someone has infiltrated the mutant island stronghold and steals the uniform of Captain Krakoa. This storyline was confusing, as it is obviously picking up story threads I have not read in previous comics. Another story has Captain America and Rogue working together to save the day. There is a reference to Deadpool at the end, and a mutant hunter is after a young girl. And lastly, a short introduction to a Doctor Strange and Wyn story.
Good artwork but these free comic days, which were originally designed to entice new readers, have become so irritating as commercials for huge, expensive, complicated storylines. Wouldn't it have worked better to give a nice complete story, win someone over to a specific character or group and gain a long-time customer?
This one looks pretty promising. A human gets a hold of the Captain Krakoa suit and starts framing mutants presumably causing a New Uncanny Avengers team. There's also a little 4 pager from Jonathan Hickman and Valerio Schiti's new book G.O.D.S.
The best of the FCBD books I read, the main story is actually a complete story, though it's a bit goofy in the parts with Captain America. The Dr. Strange tease at the end was short but well done.
