Black is the author of the most politically incorrect, unhinged, and entertaining anti-hero in modern fiction, Connor Reed.
Get a better editor/proof reader Royal. Infer/imply. Phased/ fazed just to name a couple. Even so I did enjoy it. Can't beat a good old fashioned malleting
Excellent story written by Quentin Black. It really started with a billionaire’s daughter found dead, she had indulged in drugs but evan so he wasn’t happy with the autopsy results and started an enquiry. Connor and his boss was in the thick of it already looking into illegal organ transplants. They were contacted by Mr O’Reilly who wanted to know more about what had happened to his daughter but had been threatened to discontinue his enquiries.
Fantastic 2nd book by Quentin Black, read the whole book in 3 sittings. A real action packed and addictive storyline. A down to earth main character which you can definitely relate to and the relationship between Connor and Ciara was absolutely spot on. Casual, no strings and full of banter but seriously professional when needed to be. Some quality one liners between the pair. Looking forward to the third instalment
The more I read by Mr Black the more I find that I’m enjoying the characters. It’s a very unusual take on a’hero’ figure - Connor is a psychopath who cares? An oxymoron that works. I spent years in the military and I’ve met people just like him. Really good read, I’ve purchased the next 3 books which I’m taking on holiday!
Solid characters. Good believable storyline. Witty dialogue (with a joke you'll remember for good reasons or bad and tell your mates) Great book to unwind to and forget the days monotony.
This was a moderately enjoyable read. I would give it 3.5 stars if I could. Connor is an interesting character and the action is quite entertaining, with complex enough plots to keep me interested. Would I read the next Connor Reed? Probably!
To read between the mire weightier books for entertainment. Good characters with plenty of background, decent enough plots which move at a decent pace - and - written by a Bootie Hoofin!
Following Connor and his team while they try to find out all the players in this organ transplant scheme. There are so many twists and the characters and action is intense throughout.
Great book managed to finish reading within a week of starting on a trip away with work. Really enjoyed reading this book the characters where interesting and easy to picture and the storyline flowed with lots of twists and turns. Would strongly recommend reading this book
If it was not that Connor, the MC, introduced all his kin to us, and that the author gives us the motivations of each one of them, even that of a cousin, I'd have given more stars to this book. But I got bored reading the detailed descriptions of their backgrounds and aspirations. Maybe, since we know them all in detail now, the author will talk less about all this in future novels, but sadly, I doubt it.
