I never made it to the seventh grade, due to the fact that my father didn't think it was necessary for women to get an education. I went back to get my GED after he died, to prove him wrong. I never gave up on my dream of being a writer. I believe that anyone can go after their dreams, if you Just keep reaching!

This book was a good book that was a quick read. Although at times I felt like there was something missing, it was still a good read.

This was a hard book to put down once you got into it. You really get sucked into Kaitlyn's journey Of finding herself and breaking a violent cycle.

Let me start by saying, this book was truly better than I was expecting it to be. If you are looking for something very dark and depressing this one is for you. I wanted to hate this book because of all the negative events that are presented. The truth was, I had to keep reading. Broken really had me thinking about the cycle of being a violent individual like Kaitlyn parent's before her. It truly is essential. There was something original about this one. It was Stephen King meets Broken childhoods. In the beginning I thought I would only rate this three stars, but five was the lucky number instead. I highly recommend reading it.
