This is a phenomenal first book for Shar. This couple is perfect together. My heart went out to Willow but her strength shined through this book. I admired her. Tristan was a fair man but a man in love with Willow. I just can't brag enough about Tristan because he is every girl's fantasy. I loved that he was so protective of her. Them together were intense and I ate it up. I truly enjoyed this book. Can't wait to read her next book.

The debut book for new author Shar Stevens was quite enjoyable. I enjoyed the connection between the main characters and I always enjoy a good insta-love. She threw in some suspense/mystery a little danger and a whole big heaping of spice.

In my opinion, this story is a lot of steam and spice with a little story woven into the mix. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that either, I enjoyed all of those moments. I did feel at times we cut from something important coming up to a spicy scene but the whole story moved along nicely despite that.

There were some things that I felt got a little mixed up along the way but overall, I enjoyed this story and I'm sure I'll read the rest of the series because while these characters may have their happy ever after there is still a whole lot of unanswered questions.

Great debut Shar, look forward to more from you and watching your voice grow.

Willow is on the run. Her whole life was turned upside down when she overheard her grandfather's conversation. She refused to stay around and wait for her world to crumble. Finding an empty boarded-up mansion looks like the perfect place for her to regroup and make a plan before getting out of the mess her grandfather has put her in. Despite what he's done in the past she has always loved him dearly and now he's broken her heart.

Tristan's day looks like it's not going to get any better when the security company that watches over his Uncle's property alerts him of an unauthorized entry. When he brings up the cameras and spots the beautiful woman on the screen his anger fades and in its place is a desperate need to get to her and find out who she is and what she's clearly running from.

For Tristan from the first moment he meets Willow she calls to his soul. It's a feeling he's never felt before and his need to keep her and make her safe and happy is strong. Even learning about who she is won't stop him from taking her. Anyone who plans to hurt her or take her from him had better look out, he'll use everything in his power to keep her forever.
'I remind myself she's not mine - well, she is. She will be. She just doesn't know it yet. I have no doubt in my mind, nor have I ever wanted anyone or anything this much in my life.'

Willow thought her life was over, but when Tristan sweeps in suddenly the possibilities are wide open in front of her again. From the life she lead where she was kept from the real world as much as possible and her escape was her books, she is even more determined to never return to her gilded cage. She wants her life to be free and she wants it all to start with Tristian.
'This man, in the span of ten minutes, has turned my world upside down and tossed my plans out the window. I need him right now. It's not even a want. It's a death grip on my soul, telling me to take this leap.'

While Tristan works to free Willow from the tangled web she's stuck in, he finds out things about his family and himself he had no idea about and that he and Willow's lives are more connected than either had any idea about.

The whole mess that's wrapped around Willow is just as deeply entrenched in Tristan's world and they have no intention of letting either of them go.

Firstly I would like to thank Shar for the opportunity to read her wonder for book Suspended Desire which is the first book in The Desired Series. OMG, the way this book grabbed a had of the and didn't let go. I lost all sense of time next thing its midnight and I was really contemplating if I wanted to adult the next day.

Suspended Desire follows Tristan and Willow. Two wonderful people that fate has been pulling together since they were born. These two have been on very different path's in life but when they meet their is no separating these two.

This book will keep you on the edge of your seat with twists and turns, danger and action. Tristan will make you swoon. The family vibe chefs kiss. The spice OMG, you are not ready for it.

Shar, for your debut novel you out did yourself. I loved every moment and can't wait to read Submerged Desires. Guys make sure you and this one to your tbr's or grab a copy today.

What a fantastic first book from this new author!
As a Perth local myself I was so excited to read a book set here ... and with mafia vibes!
A Hot Alpha male, an interesting storyline, lots of action in and out of the bedroom - what more could you want!

I loved the world building and can't wait to see where the story goes from here - hopefully some of the amazing side characters will get their own stories as well! 🤞

I have been meaning to read this series for so long, but life kept getting in the way! So finally having started, I can say it was worth the wait. Who am I kidding I should have read this series ages ago!

Suspended Desires by Shar Stevens is the first book in The Desired series. Shar takes the saying “run away to the circus” and flips it, giving you “running away from the circus” and combining this with a criminal underworld component. The surprises, reveals, and twists will leave you reeling in all the right ways!

The story follows our FMC, Willow, as she runs away from the circus and lands herself in the path of our MMC, Tristan, the billionaire head of a security company.

Suspended Desires was such a fun and spicy read that was an absolute treat and pleasure to devour and I highly recommend it.

Suspended Desires was the first book that I read by Shar Stevens.

Willow overhears a conversation that makes her make a quick decision. She ends up running as far as she can to start a new life. Along the way she meets Tristan when she breaks into an old mansion. Tristan at first doesn’t know what to do with Willow, but after spending some time with her he realizes that he wants more.

I really enjoyed this book and I was excited to read more from this series!

DNF at 29%. The FMC was basically orgasming in her pants before she even knew the MMC and despite being “terrified” and on the run. By 20% he was professing she was his whole world. I know it’s a novella so things have to be fast paced but this was too horny and too instalove for me
