Cam Derringer's on the lam - framed for a murder he didn't commit by a vindictive relative of someone who was killed thanks to Cam's investigation. As if that weren't bad enough, he meets a woman, Emily, in a similar predicament - but is she as innocent as she seems?
Can Cam's trio of ladies - daughter Diane, ex-wife Malinda, aka Brittany and lover Kailey (the latter duo both with deadly secrets), extract him from the unknown enemy's vendetta before it's too late?
Secrets and lies abound, and death and danger are everywhere, but Master of Adventure-Thrillers Mac Fortner teases answers with subtle flashbacks and wonderful characters, whom you can easily engage and identify with, in a crime-caper that will grip you firmly by the imagination throughout.

Stick with the girl
Wonderful read. Really good mystery with a lot going on continuously. A lot of people getting killed, definitely necessary, and everyone on the run. Trying figure this one out only brings you to the end of the book. The characters seem real in a necessary way and it brings them all together. You will certainly love thiboo.

Not my favorite, but still pretty good...
All of the gang was there, and even met some new folks. Good story, although sometimes it felt a little "phoned in" (Sorry, mac!) All in all, pretty solid. Nothing that will keep me from looking forward to the next chapter!

Even when Cam is hiding from the law, he is a trouble magnet for more and he can’t keep himself from trying to help others. A great story and a wonderful ending.

Another awesome Cam Derringer novel and did not disappoint. Love the intrigue and twists and turns. Highly recommended any Mac Fortner novels.
