We’re trapped with a starving, insane monster.

An emergency measure ensures that no one can enter or leave the pocket dimension that holds Cerris City. Everyone I love and care about is stuck in the city with me.

The time has come to fulfill my friend’s last visions of me at full power, helped by three men who adore me, else we will never be able to escape.

But Phaeron is in the monster’s grasp, forced to watch its atrocities as a punishment for escaping its clutches centuries ago. It’s all over for us if it manages to twist him into one of its servants.

Geo, Ben, and I must save him, but first we have to keep ourselves alive in a city consumed by anarchy, with streets flooded with unnatural creatures and innocent supernaturals desperate to survive.

Unless we can regroup and defeat this newly summoned evil, we’re doomed to be consumed by it instead.

This is the third and final book in a medium burn, fated mates, enemies-to-lovers series with a strong heroine who doesn’t have to choose between her three love interests. It is recommended for mature readers.

Ella Hendricks has finally released the final book in the Moongrove Academy series. It's been a long wait for Bright Soul, thank goodness Ella was thoughtful enough to put in a recap because I needed it, a lot happened in the previous two books but I think this one has them beat.

Myuna is a nightmare come to life and she's taken over Cerris City. Everything has gone to crap. This book is giving off a very apocalyptic vibe. I see why they say Myuna is a world destroyer, the survivors are battling the unnatural creatures she was creating, trying to gather resources and devising plans to defeat their enemy. It was all very intense, leaving me waiting for the next attack. There was also a fair amount of character growth. Cress is becoming more of a warrior every minute I like seeing her magic grow and change. Geo is learning to bend. The bonds between the survivors are also a sight to behold, I never thought I say this but I like Wren now.

The memory flashback, was one of my favorite parts, not only Phaeron's past but Braza's as well. We see why Myuna is a destroyer of worlds and it's terrifying, especially that whole mouth thing she's got going on. It also had me questioning until the very last minute about how exactly Ella was going to wrap this story up. Myuna is a god, the most terrifying one I've seen. We're at nightmare-level stuff.

Well, this story sure didn't end how I expected it to. Yeah sure, there was magic and the battling of minions but the final showdown between the eldritch terror that is Myuna and Cress, that was the real surprise. Bright Soul wrapped up Cress's story nicely and with a HEA too. Cress couldn't have done it without an excellent friend group. Ella did leave a few hints about what may be in store for other characters' futures, a lot (okay, all) of whom I would be very interested in. I have a feeling Ella is just getting started.

The book was good, the middle got kinda slow and dragged on but the ending picked up and ended well.

I enjoyed the background story into her 3rd mate (the 2nd prince) or the shadow daddy. Hearing about his family before and the library power core being his adopted daughter that he wasn’t ready to say goodbye to yet.

The blood witch vampire is that had killed her other mate’s mother to steal her son and turn them into assassins I was happy to see him finally die, and for the little brother to wake up from his coma and have special powers that can heal people souls.

The Friend group seems to have lots of changes to with their one friend, turning out to be a lost princess and another friend choosing to join the Valkyrie’s.

The sister being taken and used as a pawn was obvious especially since she had already done it to 2 brothers.

It ends well we even got an explanation as to how the big bad “goddess” came to be.

The spice was good too as the 4 of them are all now mated.

4.25⭐️ If you loved fantasy as a teen and want to try dipping your toes into an adult why choose, this is a really good place to start. Easy series, wonderful audio production (all free on Audible+ now!). Multi POV, good world building without being too complex or political. Somehow for having quite a few bouts of violent death and dealing with grief for all characters, it was still pretty lighthearted. Great series, deserves a lot more love from romantasy readers out there 💜

Loved it. The adventure for Cress and her men was a men amazing! The last book was well written, and kept the reader hooked. I loved the story, suspense and how it developed was great. Definitely a recommendation series to read. It would be nice to read a short story on how Carly does and what happens with her Mom and fae.

Fantastic ending! I know we get a brief glimpse of how Myuna came to be while they were in the void but I want more of that background 😭 But I am so glad Dr. Aurina finally got put in her place. Would love a bonus epilogue, see if they got the future they saw! Hopefully Braza, Carly, Lucas and the rest of the coven get their own stories! This book seems like they're set up for one!

It’s a good ending for the story and I enjoyed every bit of it. I still like the characters, but in this case the story was even better. It’s a great series and I would absolutely re-read the whole thing at some point. Five stars and a place on my list of favourites.

Excellent Storytelling

I usually gravitate towards one and done series, but the storyline of this one is excellent and enthralling. There was just enough intrigue for the outcome.

This entire series was amazing! Cress is so forgiving of all of the stupid stuff that the men do….and she is strong and independent. She understands that fear is OK but that her destiny is written and to follow the Graygazer’s for the best chance at success. The surprising character that made a huge turnabout was Wren. How I could go from hate to empathy for her was remarkable! Overall I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a combination RH, paranormal and suspense!
