How does a mother escape the stress of living with her grown children?
Patrice Reed is retired, but between church life and home life with her two adult daughters and grandson, there is no time for her own life. That is, until she meets Theo Santoro, who makes her recognize that she’s missing out on her best life. A wanna-be reality TV star, Quida desires fame regardless of the cost. And motherhood is cramping her style.
Jade, a plus-sized millennial, struggles to find her place in the family and in the world.
Can Patrice and her daughters find their way to peace under one roof?
The ladies did an awesome job with writing this story. Many families are dealing with the issues in this story. As parents(especially mothers) we need to demonstrate that tough love and be okay with our decision. This book will have you experiencing many emotions. I look forward to reading more books by these ladies.
I wanted to shake the mess out of Patrice!!! How your grown daughter living with you, disrespect you, charge $400 a month on your credit card then tell you she needs $20 for gas if you want her to take you to the store. No Mam!!! You go to the store so I can get a locksmith to change the locks on the door and put your ass out. Quida needed to be snatched. I was rooting for Bernard.
These ladies did an outstanding job with this book. Not only was it well written, but it focused on some real life issues that are prevalent in today’s society. We are seeing more and more adult children moving back home, grandparents taking on more responsibilities of their grandchildren and parents giving up their life and time to take on other people problems. The character growth in the end was amazing. Each lady was able to see what they were doing wrong, apologize and start building better relationships with each other. Definitely a book worth reading.

If you have not read this book, READ IT!
This is a wonderful, heartwarming short novel (140 pages), about a mother and her 2 irresponsible adult daughters, healing and finding their way to a better life and relationship.
This was a beautifully told, story that will pis** you off, and pull at your heart strings.
It was engaging from page one. I highly recommend it.
A great story about a widowed mother, her two adult daughters and grandson living under the same roof. All of the women needed to re-evaluate their lives and make some needed changes. A bonus for me was the main character's best friend and I share the same name, "Letha." Thank you, Michelle and CaSandra, for that sweet bonus!
The idea of the book was good but the characters were irritating. Its funny how each women could find fault with the other but they couldn't see themselves. Patticia, was overwhelmed and took on too much out of guilt and it almost cost her in the end. Quida, smh don't get me started on her. Iam glad she found her way.
The personality of each of the daughters and mother is hard to imagine. I had to stop reading this book for a few hours, actually I put it in my "started to read" books that I never intend to read. I'm still perplexed with the actions. Well written however, A few mistakes caused by spellchecker.
This book was a really great read. I enjoyed the book from start to finish. The 3 main characters the mother understood some poor decisions she had made throughout her when she was raising her daughters learned how to move those mistakes but decided write her wrong with her daughters and apologized to them. She got her relationship with her adult daughters back to what it meant to be. The oldest daughter had issues that was facing but with some help she realized she was important and she needed to take care of herself by dealing with her health. The younger daughter was young and had a son that she wasn’t prepared to parent but she really did have a support system with her mother and the father of her child. She had to hit rock bottom and her child had to go live with the father which was the best decision. She had to take parenting classes and it turned her life around by her getting to know who she was becoming and learning how to be a parent. I learned a lot from each of characters.
Excellent read, I enjoyed the characters and storyline. Patricia her daughters Jade, Quida and grandson BJ, basically lived in dysfunctional household and didn’t realize it. This is their journey to growth and healing.
That was a good title for this book. Patrice, Quida, Jade and even Aunt Victoria all needed direction in life. The story was well put together and had some laughter moments. It is a quick read.
This book was everything that I thought I didn't need. I took me by surprise. I wish it was a lol longer as o feel the want by so fast. Literally every page and chapter has something great
I gave it 5 stars. It was good and exactly how protected kids react . But the mother stays strong and kept the faith. It all ended for the good for all.
