What has fear stopped you from getting? For Soliyana Robinson, it's her happily ever after. When she meets someone with whom she connects on a cellular level, she's left to decide whether she fights the fear to see where it leads or run away from it and continue wondering what if. She chooses the latter, and runs. But the universe has other plans for them.
This book is long as fawk for no reason. I enjoyed the story line but I can’t get w/ Sol for some reason. She’s made her trauma her personality and reading this book got so exhausting sometimes having to relive her pain somehow in almost every scene. There are parts that drag and then parts that really hold you. I’m only giving it two stars cause I felt like it took me a million years to get through. By 78% I was dying to be done but the story wasn’t bad enough to DNF. I saw it through. The ending is very satisfying.
I really loved this beautiful story it is a page turner and very well- written.
The main character Sol is like many of us who get hurt by those who were supposed to take care of you. But we move on and dedicate our lives to being the best versions of ourselves!
The love between Leo + Sol was so realistic and just beautiful to witness.
This is the most beautiful love story I have ever read! The author's use of music and poetry to broaden the characters' storylines is so creative! I saved the songs on my playlist, and made notes of many of the poems mentioned in the book.
This book resonated so much for me that I felt all of the emotions of the characters. I laughed with them, I cried with them, and I was ready to beat up some people with them too. 🤣🤣
This book made me long for a love like Leo's and Sol's. Deep, forgiving, understanding, unconditional, passionate, warm, safe. LOVE.
Lily S. Flowers, I love you for writing this book and sharing it with the world! 💛🌻🌻💛
It takes you on a journey of love, self discovery, challenges, family / childhood trauma and recovery.
It is highly spicy and includes: a warning on some of the triggers and spiciness.
The beginning and ending of the story were so well done, however I did find the middle of this story telling to be a tiny bit of a drag. I think because the story is told in first person between the two main characters, some stuff were repeated in narration by both characters points of view (if that makes sense)
Otherwise, it’s a book I would recommend with caution due to the triggers and elements of heaviness.
Overall, a beautiful love story and beautiful ending.
this was so good. i’m literally two seconds away from crying 😭😭🤣 Leo & Sol’s love is one for the books fr. they’re open with eachother. the patience and grace they extend to eachother is so refreshing to see. that third act break up had me ready to swing but the makeup make it worth it. i’m interested in seeing more of Ruthie & Sab’s story since they’re relationship starting sprouting 🩵 overall 10/10. lily fasho gave us that hallmark ending ~ forever a fan ☺️
We can quiet the voices within our minds by breaking communication and boundaries with toxic people. Choice you every time when someone or something disrupts your peace focus on your happiness and mental stability for changing scenery and adapting positivity will provide growth and break generational curses.
So, this is my first book by Lily - I decided to check her work out after seeing some other authors I like hype her up.
I like this story and where it is going. Sol and Leo seem really cute and are complex. There are lots of layers to them and their world that are interesting to read about.
However,
This is very, very detailed. Like to the point where it's telling me things that I don't really need to know nor do I care. This has made it hard to get through for me. I'm gonna assume there's a HEA or HFN because there is another book following two of the secondary characters, so I’m gonna take a break and come back and try again
What a debut!!!! I have say Sol and Leo took me on a ride. The angst, the passion, the anger, the hurt…..I felt all of it. Let’s not get started on the physical, they really really really liked each other. This was a beautiful story about two broken yet beautiful souls finding love and solace in each other. Lily made you feel their connection and I really appreciated that. This is long and it gets intense but it is so worth the ride. I can’t wait to read what she releases next!!!
Listen, this is a STORY!!! As a lover of words, Miss Lily left nothing on the table. Don’t let the word count scare you. The story is beauty personified. I don’t like to give spice levels because, like most things, it’s suggestive, but let me just say beaks will be wet. Take that how you will.😜 I laughed, I cried, I got angry, I giggled with my feet kicked up in full heart eyes on display because Leo was HIM!! Well done.
This book is for anyone who loves Black leads, love stories, healing, and plenty of spice. There are heroes and villains (well, one villain in particular) and redemption. The ups and downs had me feeling every emotion from A to Z. These characters are very realistic, and I find parts of myself in each one.
I expected a better storyline & plot. It was too repetitive with the sex scenes. This love story could have eliminated 400 pages or more. It's a no for me.
I have mixed feelings about this book. The story was pretty good but I feel that it could have been about 300 hundred pages shorter. I enjoyed watching the relationship develop between Sol and Leo however, there were times that I felt like the issues were too stretched out.
