This thoughtful book explores how to be kind and why kindness is so important. A range of questions help children and their grown-ups to think, and talk, about being kind to others and ourselves, as well as nature and our planet. Beautiful illustrations by Christine Pym help young children to understand big concepts by setting them in a world of friendly bugs. Plenty to talk about and be inspired by.

A fab book about.... kindness! How Can I Be Kind? explores kindness in all its forms, highlights the value of it in everyday life and offers ways to demonstrate kindness. The 'touch and feel' nature of the book in the form of flaps encourage and promote engagement with the content of the story; this can benefit those with additional needs such as autism or ADD/ADHD. Whilst the style of the book may suggest it is appropriate for younger readers, I would say the message remains important for all and therefore anyone from 3-11 could enjoy this book.
This is a wonderful book! My four year old instantly loved the flaps that he could lift (there are six or seven on each of the six two-page spreads) and he loved the funny pictures of different bugs. The questions answered throughout the book are: what is kindness?; how can I be kind to others?; can I be kind to myself?; how can I be kind to nature?; how can I be kind to the planet? and; does kindness really make a difference? A very sensitive and positive approach to some complex questions and something I feel my son will go back to more as he starts reading independently.
Un libriccino delizioso della collana "sollevo e scopro" per i più piccoli. Cosa significa gentilezza? Come posso essere gentile con me stesso e con gli altri? Illustrazioni di Christine Pym semplicemente poetiche. Dai 4 anni.
