I absolutely loved this! There’s something so special about reading a book set in your own town, and Haven captured it perfectly. I found myself constantly smiling as I recognised local landmarks and familiar streets woven into the narrative.
Nigel Shinner does a fantastic job of grounding the story in a reality I see every day, making the atmosphere feel incredibly authentic. It’s a gripping read regardless, but for anyone who calls this place home (even if, like me, you’re an "adoptive" local), it adds a whole other layer of enjoyment. Definitely a must-read for the community!
