I’m a pregnant and vulnerable omega and now I’ve caught the eye of a ruthless mafia boss who won’t take no for an answer.

Omega Nico is carrying the child of an alpha who attempted to end his life, and is now trapped in an impossible predicament. Unwilling to bring the child into the world, but too destitute to change his circumstances, Nico struggles to find hope amidst his crumbling life.

Enter Valentino Syracuse, the heir to the infamous Black Knives mafia. As his father's health wanes, the responsibility to lead falls upon young Valentino's shoulders. His ascension to power, however, comes with a he must take an omega as his mate to prove his unwavering commitment to the syndicate.

When he sees Nico, Valentino is immediately drawn to the sexy, feisty, omega. Unfortunately, Nico has no desire to be Valentino’s omega. Nico has an aversion to anything mafia related. He politely refuses Valentino’s proposition, however, Valentino isn’t an alpha who likes being told no.

Driven into a corner by threats and intimidation, Nico is left with no choice but to accept Valentino's offer or face certain death. As the two forge a fragile alliance amidst the chaos, unexpected feelings begin to bloom. But when the malevolent alpha responsible for Nico's pregnancy re-emerges, a torrent of secrets from the past threatens to shatter any hope of happiness they might have found together.

This is a dark romance and contains violence and graphic smexy times. If you're sensitive to either of those things this story may not be for you.

started out good.

This started really good and I loved it until we got to the end. Can we normalize it being ok not keeping the baby. Not everyone needs to keep the baby and that’s perfectly ok. I honestly think the fact that the baby was kept ruined the book. The story was about him not keeping it. The reasons at the end were garbage. Other than that the book was good the shocker in the middle totally got me, wish there was more with that. The smexy was good, and I love the family.

Oh this was freaking good: hugely enjoyable, light-hearted but also kinda dark, pure, smutty entertainment.
Omegaverse has slowly become one of my favourite genres and Beau Brown's spin on it, "Omega Trapped", was an absolute delight to devour.

I managed to inhale it in less than a day: it's got my favourite ABO dynamics and tropes (fated, albeit reluctant, mates, heats and knotting, marking, mpreg, uber possessive alphas and feisty and obstinate omegas), plus arraged marriage, enemies-to-lovers, hate sex, hurt-him-and-you'll-die, and of course, mafia shenanigans.

Even though I know he’s joking, jealousy swamps me. “Oh, really?”
He sighs. “Can I help it if I’m popular?”
“You’re going to be dick-less if you cheat on me.”
He grins. “Well, that escalated quickly.”

Valentino and Nico's romance was absolutely explosive: dark and gritty and violent, but also surprisingly light-hearted and sweet at times, even funny. Both of them have highly questionable morals, and Valentino is decidedly a sociopath who does very horrible stuff (to Nico too, although, in his words, he didn't love him yet, so it was very justified *sarcastic eye roll*), but yeah, I loved them together. Their dynamic is highly addictive, gripping and packed with chemistry and attraction. I also adored the side characters, and I really hope the author has plans to add to this omegaverse mafia universe.

This book was the palate cleanser I needed to finally get over my slump (I HOPE), and I'm so glad I read it. If you're looking for an OTT, darkish and fun romance, this could be the read for you.

TWs/CWs: drug addiction, abortion discussion, non-con, violence, threats of SA/SA, death.

Thank you GRR for the ARC. I received in exchange for an honest review.

Enjoyment 3 stars.

In the beginning the author warns for: “violence, discussions of abortion, and graphic sex scenes.” I think the warning should have included legal inability to get an abortion (no bodily autonomy) as well. I’ve included a more comprehensive warning list (it contains spoilers).

Warning:

Valentino is the 26 year old heir to a mafia group who needs to get married within days before his ill father dies so that he can appear mature and stable for his organization. Nico apparently is younger, I don’t think the book ever says how young but I assume 21-23 based on how often the other characters talk about how young he is, but he does work as a bartender briefly. Nico is a recovering cocaine and heroine addict who becomes pregnant with his dealer’s baby and is threatened into marrying Valentino.

I’ve been wanting to read a mafia book and an arranged marriage book, and this one combines both!

The level of soap opera drama was great! And the author really committed to most of it which makes it better.

I like that Nico got to have a personality. I feel like any person capable of pregnancy in his situation (regardless of sex or gender or fictional a/o status) is usually written as abnormally quiet and weepy and meek. Nothing wrong with those things except when they’re used to pointedly make a character an accessory more than a person.

Having “love and obey” as a wedding vow for Nico was icky. I got more than enough of that from all the Christian weddings I went to, thanks.

The strong “not like other girls” interest that Valentino has in Nico was a little grating.

The “he’s adopted so he’s not part of the family” plot isn’t my favorite.

The writing is a little stiff and unpolished. Like, characters repeat stuff a bit too much (along the lines of “Do you want coffee?” “Yes, I want coffee.” “Ok, I’ll go get your coffee.”), and the dialogue can be stilted. It’s not painful the whole time, but it’s noticeable.

Several fairly frequent typos, some that made me wince (“bull’s eye on my back,” “enters the library with Nico in toe,” “you’re” instead of “your,” “parent’s” instead of “parents’,” a character being described as both tan and then later as pale, stuff like that). Sometimes the wrong name is used (I spent almost 3 pages thinking Nico was talking to Dario because it said “Dario” but then from context finally realized it was Valentino). It would have helped if the author had someone proof her work one more time before publication. Her typos aren’t tough to catch, they’re just little simple things that would be cleaned up with more proofing.

I think my core issue was that Nico was a general sane and good guy. Valentino was not. That mismatch between them bothered me. Poor Nico had been so mistreated he fell hard for the first guy who didn’t consistently treat him like complete crap (Valentino treated him horribly but had moments where he wasn’t horrible and that was more than Nico could handle). I can read books that are pretty insane as long as both MCs are equally nuts (even if it’s in different ways). But Nico didn’t deserve what happened. It works better for me if the MCs deserve one another more or less.

It made me feel incredibly claustrophobic and uncomfortable when Nico tried desperately for like 270 pages to have an abortion and no one would let him. Could he have changed his mind? Sure. But the main reason seemed to be that wanting to get an abortion isn’t a good person thing. It literally doesn’t matter why a pregnant person wants to get an abortion. The reason could be “it’s Tuesday” and that’s completely a good reason. Don’t want it in your body? Good reason.

I think Nico keeping his secrets from Valentino went on a bit too long (not that I blame him, but the plot point felt too drawn out).

Overall the book had a lot of promise, and the concept was fun, and Nico was awesome, but I think it lacked some polish. I’d like to try more of this author’s stuff to see what it’s like because I enjoyed the promise of what she wrote here.

Like I said over and over again, I found this couple to be a little toxic. And that’s why it was hard for me to finish his book but I did and I just gotta say it was a lot for me as a person to forgive so I don’t know how they forgive each other for them way they treat each other. They decide to keep the baby which I knew they were going to do. I just wanted to be now how and why.

4.5 stars. Nico has to choose from starving on the street, having no money, being pregnant, being unclaimed by an alpha and knowing he’ll be eliminated, or marrying the Black Knives mafia heir. Even though he’ll certainly die if he chooses the first, he’s very reluctant to be involved with the mafia.

Valentino has to marry, his father is terminally and he’ll give off a solid vibe if he’s married taking over the business. He finds Nico a very attractive Omega, but way too scrawny and oh-so stubborn. He should feel honored to live with Valentino. Instead, he wants to get out of the deal. He can’t, Valentino has to kill him like he said he would, only he doesn’t want to kill this feisty omega.

The struggle was palpable, Nico and Valentino fight, argue, and fight. There’s a strong attraction, Nico keeps the name of the father of his child secret. Valentino can never know.

The story has all the right ingredients for an awesome mafia, enemies-to-lovers story.
There’s angst, murder, violence, threats, and intimidation, family is everything, I loved the dark side of this story, the dark humor, and the sarcasm, there are some lighter moments that are also great pictures.
It was a smashing good story, strongly written, and super entertaining, I read it in one sit, and yes my neck hurts lol.

Valentino and Nico

Valentino is insufferable. And he’s supposed to be likable by the end, but I found him sorely lacking. The things he did to Nico in the beginning sealed his fate for me. Thumbs down for Val. Would not recommend.

Nico was mostly charming. If he wanted away from Valentino so badly he should have told him the truth. But, whatever. Also, I can’t believe he spends the whole book not wanting this kid and then keeps it. I mean, it’s okay to not want the kid and still move forward with your life.

I did enjoy the story quite a bit. The premise was nice and I liked the added omegaverse angle. You don’t get too many mafia omegaverse books, so this was a nice change. Three stars only though, since Val was so awful.

Only two things I did not like-
1) Why not tell the "baby" Valentino is his father? It felt like bullshit to me when they were so in love with each other and Valentino was like "we will tell the baby his father was a good man" NO. You tell the baby "you are his father" end of story.

2) I just cringed so hard everytime they brought up the word "breed". "I want to be bred so hard" "I want to breed him". like wtf no.

Except for this, I loved it. One of the few nicely written omegaverses in my opinion.

Some of these characters have no redeeming qualities. Story is perilously close to insta love. I completely forgot that I’d read this, but the next in the series sounding intriguing so I read it again. I’m still deducting stars for one of the lead characters being a despicable being and the fated mates cop out.

Once upon a time I would never have believed that I would enjoy mobster stories, but then I read K.L. Hiers 'Cold Hard Cash' series, I was sucked right in. Now I love a handsome but brutal gay mob boss, and that is what we get here, along with an abandoned, homeless, pregnant Omega.
A very intense and sexy tale, I loved it.

I wish he would have just had the abortion. Not because the story needed it or I think it was wrong to keep the baby but because it’s a lazy plot. It also sets a precedent and belief in the real world that pregnant people should overcome horrible things for the benefit of a fetus. Abortion is such a shamed topic and to have a character change their mind after delays/hearing the heartbeat gives credence to people’s beliefs that pregnant people will change their mind or should be forced to do those things before the procedure which can be traumatic.

***edit I reached out to the author to say

“Bro you need to to get a lesson in content warnings. Should have included drug use, always include the specific kind, overdose, delay of abortion/denied access for abortion, discussion of illegal/unsafe abortions, shame surrounding abortion, attempted murder while pregnant, dubious consent, straight up coercion, threats to not allow the abortion to take place. I would highly recommend checking out J.R. Gray for how to set up content warnings . People who don’t have triggers won’t read them and people who do can go into the book safely, all of these topics can cause serious harm and you dropped the ball in preparing readers who may experience emotional distress from these topics.”

I’ll admit the first like was uncalled for and a little aggressive and that’s on me.

His response was

“Bruh, you need to get a life. There is a trigger warning and you're reading Mpreg not Tolstoy. And I am going to tell your mom what you're reading.”

So Many Red Flags

Ugh what did I just read? I’m in a big omegaverse kick right now and I’m always intrigued by MM mafia books, so this one seemed perfect! I was even intrigued by the plot! But the reality was terrible. The Mafia aspect was a bit of a joke. Other than Valentino constantly mentioning he’s the head of the family, there’s nothing big about the plot that makes this book distinctly mafia. There’s even a kidnapping, murder and some family strife, and hey I know if someone asked me to summarize this book I would forget entirely to even mention mafia as a theme.

Now for Valentino. Who doesn’t enjoy reading about a bad boy tough guy who is a grumpy jerk but a total sap for their partner? If only that was what happened in this book. Valentino was pretty gross and so unpredictable. He was terrible to Nico repeatedly and would then randomly throw in a sentence about maybe developing feelings. I had total whiplash with their entire relationship. Nico was also a piece of work. The author seemed intent on making Nico a snarky hormonal mess. Every mood swing and insult thrown felt more cringy than witty. I feel like I couldn’t even describe to you Nico’s personality with how little we actually got to know him in this book.

The relationship was cringe.
The spice was cringe.
The plot was meh.

A Joyfully Jay review.

Omega Trapped isn’t for the faint of heart. It deals with a lot of dark themes, including drug use, abuse, some murky issues regarding consent (given that Nico has no choice but to marry Valentino), as well as abortion. It isn’t a love story, at least not in the traditional sense, and it takes a long time before the MC’s actually reach a point of true affection. So if you’re looking for something light and fluffy, keep looking. You won’t find that here. But if you like your romances darker than most, then Omega Trapped might be for you.

This book isn’t for the gentle of heart, but there is a happy ending and, for Nico and Valentino, that is no small feat. The MCs lack some depth and the antagonist is a non-starter, but the book had its charms and, while not a traditional romance, Omega Trapped was still fulfilling.

Hard to rate this one. I expected it to be terrible, and it was, but not as bad as I thought. It needs an editor to fix the multiple cases of incorrect word usage. The alpha is an abusive sack of shit the entire book, never really redeeming himself. I do not get the attraction, no matter what he looks like, and I typically love dark and twisted relationships. However, I never got bored, and the knotting was hot, so I'll go with 1.5 and round up to 2.

Honestly this started off as a solid read but by the end I was just skimming to get through it. I expected more and I don’t like how Valentine was so cavalier about the baby not being his or holding any position in the family as he got older. I just see that as a repeat of his own father’s mistakes with Robert, not at all a good thing.

The fictional world of Los Demonios is cold, harsh, cruel and unforgiving. Here every step could lead to your death if you aren't careful, cunning and strong enough to defend the corner you have carved and declared to be your own.it's a world where the mafia syndicates rule and people's lives are means to an end. Be aware that it's also based on alpha- omega nonshifter dynamic.

Nico has learned the hard way that he is part of the prey. Vulnerable, lonely, destitute and desperate omega, he is living on the streets since he was 16. The only thing that numbs the aches of his life is being high as a kite most of the time. His weakness is what's going to be the beginning of even bigger nightmare and he falls in the clutches of El Supremo. After a heat goes wrong, his situation turns from bad to worse.

Valentino is part of the opposite world - he is a mafia boss's heir and is bred, born, raised and groomed to step in his father's shoes and continue his work. It's a dark world where the blood bonds are valued and matter but people are still pawns in the grander scheme of the game of dominance and influence.

Valentino's and Nico's worlds would have never been in one orbit and least of all collided if a dire need hasn't interfered and put them on the path of destruction.

This is not a beautiful love story or a classic romance. It's not even a romance for me. The unhealthy relationship between Nico and Valentino started as a heavily influenced dubious consent business deal with both of them pursuing their own goals. For Nico - this is the money needed to terminate his unwanted pregnancy, for Valentino - a marriage needed to keep and cement his position as a leader of The Black Knives syndicate after his father's death.

What wasn't believable for me in this intriguing and well written story, was that Nico and Valentino fell in love in the span of 2 weeks when even the bruises haven't had the chance to be healed and fade from Nico's body.

Nico was brutally coerced, bullied and forced into Valentino's world. He learns fast that everyone's position in it is based on their assets and what they can put on the table for negotiations.

When El Supremo emerged in his new life a second time, it was incredible shock to his system and turned the game of survival even deadlier.

The second not very logical to me part was that after all the suffering and everything he endured to find a way to terminate his pregnancy, Nico's decision was surprising.

But despite some not logical inconsistencies, I enjoyed all the twists in this story and its raw intensity kept me captivated and interested 'till the end.

Be aware of that there are a lot of triggers - humiliation, bulling, torture, dubious consent, murder, discussions of abortion. If this is your jam, dive in without hesitation.

This book has everything you would expect from a mafia novel, violence, intimidation, betrayal, murder, but it also has a strong value for family - the mafia family, but more so their blood family is very close and loving.
Nico had a horrible childhood and has been alone and vulnerable since he was sixteen, he has no family, no home, no money, and the omega in him craves touch. Since his life is so bad and he has nothing, he prefers to be chemically numb so he doesn't feel anything or think about his circumstances. It takes a tragic situation and an unwanted pregnancy to shake him up and get him to stop using, but his situation goes from bad to worse - until fate intervenes in a most unconventional way.
Valentino has been raised to take over the family business, unfortunately that will be much sooner than he thought as his fathers illness has worsened, and now he finds out he must mate an omega in order to be head of the Black Knives Mafia. He is angry with this stipulation, he is only 26 and enjoys variety, he doesn't want to be married, but he has to. He needs to find an omega who is desperate enough to go along with everything he demands, there are many who qualify but don't interest him. It is a feisty Nico - who turns him down - that captures his attention and makes him determined to have him, he'll do anything to get what he wants, including using coercion, violence, and threats of death.
What comes next is a whirlwind of events that has both men off balance. Nico is furious but really had no choice, Valentino is frustrated at the situation in general and expects obedience, but there is an unexpected connection developing between them that neither thought posssible.
It was interesting to see the progression from hate to passion to love between Nico and Valentino, two intriguing characters that felt like they belonged together, and see them get their hard earned HEA.
For me, this book dragged at times, despite all the action that occured throughout and I found it a bit disappointing that Nico was unable to achieve the one thing he was determined to do throughout the entire book.

Spoilers and minor political talk

Not bad but questionable choices.

So this is something that's bothered me for a while in these more stories I've read lately. Whenever there's an instance of an unwanted pregnancy no matter the cause (be it rape or otherwise) the omega ALWAYS ends up having the baby or babies. Nico very much wants an abortion and for very good reason yet authors always push the narrative of "you should keep it anyways". Either by manipulating their paternal nature or making it d that in universe an abortion is too dangerous or will permanently make them infertile. Considering the political climate today I really think authors need to reconsider this stigma against abortions. Instead of writing a story where the alpha loves s child that isn't their own, write a story about an alpha taking care of and supporting their omega through the abortion process. Politics aside in a mafia despite Valentino saying otherwise at the end (and the whole plot of the book supporting this) leadership is always preferred to be kept in the bloodline and the only exception being when that isn't an option by any means (cousins not being an option either but mafia families are always large). When the child grows up it will be obvious to outsiders that they look nothing like Valentino, some of them may even recognize any of Roberto's features that may come out. Keeping the baby makes no sense for either of them and would bring them and him more trouble in the future than it is worth. There are many logic errors in this book but these are the ones I find most egregious aside from the obvious "marry me or I'll kill you" choice.

Two stars for poor logic and pushing a narrative I've become quickly sick and tired of seeing.

Valentino Syracuse takes no prisoners. Why would he? He's the heir apparent to the Black Knives mafia family. Only one thing stands in his way ... he is unmarried, and because of his youth, he may lose followers who worry he's too immature. Enter Nico Romano, an unclaimed omega caught between the devil and the deep blue sea. This is the story of their forced union, their evolution from enemies to lovers to loving husbands and parents, and the challenges and obstacles in their journey to their HEA. There's violence, both threatened and executed, but there are also moments of unexpected tenderness, affection, and family love. Be warned ... the story is high angst and dark in many places.

This is only one of a few mafia romances that I've read. I appreciate the effort to keep the evocation of Valentino and his family sympathetic and engaging while still managing, for the most part, to keep the ugliest parts of his business off the page. However, there were some things that I didn't especially like or that I wasn't convinced about. Nico blew hot and cold a little too often for me. I grew really impatient with him, especially with his actions before the climax of the story. And related to his behavior was his sudden capitulation after resisting Valentino so feistily from the very beginning. His submission was not credible. I understand that this is a kind of insta-love-after-hate romance, but there isn't enough of a convincing transition from almost rabid hatred to wanton begging.

This book had everything I usually fall for—Mafia power games? ✅ Arranged Alpha-Omega marriage? ✅ Brutal, feelingless Alpha? ✅ Omega in distress with a messed-up past? ✅ I was ready for obsession, betrayal, angst, and maybe a little mating-bite-induced chaos. And the setup? So promising.

But somewhere between the cold Alpha thawing into forever yours and the Omega going from helpless to bitchy sass with no emotional arc, it all just… fizzled.

There was no spark. No burn. Just me, sitting there like, “Okay… are we feeling anything? No? Just vibes? Cool.”

Nico kept saying “I want to get rid of it” on loop like he was stuck on a scratched CD. Valentino suddenly acted in love because… mating chemicals? And the so-called angst? Baby, where? I wanted to ache for Nico—but the way he emotionally flatlined through every dramatic moment had me more confused than sad.

📌 Breakdown:
• 📖 📖 Plot: 2/5
• 💔 Angst: 1/5 (Shockingly low for a story that should have broken me)
• 🍑🍑🍑 Sex Frequency: 3/5
• 🌶️ 🌶️ Steam: 2/5( it was very uneventful and lacked the heat)

• 💙 💙 💙 Valentino: 3/5 (Emotionally unavailable turned clingy real fast but I was not convinced how and didn’t feel the chemistry )
• 💙 💙 Nico: 2/5 (Give me something, babe—sadness, rage, love, anything)

I stayed till the end out of commitment, not connection. This wasn’t a total flop, but it definitely left me searching for my next read while still turning the pages. It could have been great though, it had the promise but oh well.

I admired Nico’s resilience in this story – he started from the bottom and was determined to stand on his own two feet. When life threw him into Valentino’s path, it would have been very easy for him to cave in and let himself be dragged along by the current but he continues to fight for his autonomy and life the way he wants to live it.

Valentino was spoiled by circumstances of birth and put into the untenable position of having to present himself as ‘stable’ by getting married at short notice, which meant he had zero interest in hearing Nico’s objections and did whatever was necessary to get what he wanted. In that regard, there was little doubt that this was a ‘dark’ mafia romance.

I enjoyed the other side presented – the idea that Valentino wasn’t just a mafia boss but a doting uncle, a loving son and brother, a person who by circumstances of birth was put into the position of having to do things he might not otherwise have done. A side we rarely get to see in mafia books.

I enjoyed how the situation played out, especially Valentino’s attitude towards the whole situation which wasn’t stereotypical – this wasn’t one of those books with a misunderstanding that revolved around the male ego. I enjoyed reading this and am pleased that I gave it a chance.

I received an ARC from GRR.

So si Nico kay omega nga walay family and all, all alone ra sya. Nya namabdos sya sa isa ka alpha nga supploer niya ug drugs, nya gi overdose sya atong alpha kay para mamatay sya kay nag duda nga murag mamabdos jud sya kay ni break ang condom nya in heat to si Nico. Nya wa man sya namatay kay natabang syag tig limpyo sa motel so mao to. So si Nico iyang nakit-an nga omega nga iyang minyuon kintahay. Mana dayon hahahaha oks ra bya ang smut but OA man ang alpha2x ug omega2x nila oi. Wala puy angay si Valentino murag d sya badass enough. Although akong gi DL ang succeeding books, not sure if mopadayon ko. Akong basahon sa ang blurb sa Book 2 kung maganahan ra ba ko mo padayon.

Loved reading Omega Trapped, it made quite an entertaining and fantastic read. So very unusual to other Mafia books I have read.
My first time reading this author and I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and the conversation between the MCs. I liked the fiery spirit of Nico speaking his mind not caring who he was speaking to, and loved the controversial character of the Mafia boss and his gentleness towards his omega. A simple love story between an Alpha Mafia boss and his pregnant Omega.

The storyline was amusing and pleasantly entertaining with some dark ailments thrown in, in the form of drug addiction, kidnapping, and the evil Roberto. It was fast-moving and each and every character took the story plot smoothly forward.
I would like to read some more about Valentino and Nico, I fell in love with both characters and would like to know how their family grows and the ups and downs of their married life as it continues along with Nico's fervent disposition.
Non-shifter Omegaverse Mpreg books are becoming my favorite on to read list and looking forward to reading more of Beau Brown's books.
My rating - is 4.5 stars

Omega Trapped is the reason why I keep going back to Mafia romances. Now I don't read a lot of omegaverse mafia romances so this was a treat...and I love Beau Brown's books so I was on board and hoping I would love it. Welllll this was definitely not the instant love, sweet meeting...NOPE...in your face graphic, gritty, hard knock life with a good dose of violence and a HOT as heck mating scenes that will have you going back rereading...LOL...Just so you know, Nico and Valentino was off the chain. Their hate - hate - love - hate - love relationship kept me on my toes. I really couldn't predict if they would come out of this with a loving relationship due to all the EXTREMES that were against them from the jump. So of course this kept me up til the very end...and I wasn't disappointed. I really love HEAs and these guys really deserved it. I'm hoping Beau keep it going because I'm hooked on these complex but thrilling characters.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

I am a huge fan or dark mafia romances and this is the first one I've read where the omega was pregnant at the beginning of the story and not by out second main character. I thought the author handled the decisions Nico was having to make about the pregnancy were well handled and explored many aspects as the story went on that had resonance in these days of the elimination of abortion rights in this country even though that wasn't the focus in this story. Valentino was an amazing mafia character also having to make some hard decisions about how to hang on to power. He goes after Nico to achieve his own goals and I was hooked on seeing their relationship develop as both started to have feelings for each other neither expected. There are some great twists and turns in the plot and real danger for our characters as this world isn't some fluffy mafia "lite", these folks aren't playing around. I was curious to see what decisions would be made at the end and I found them nicely in line with the romance genre and believably explained.

Challenging! Nico, is caught in a life destroying Catch 22. He is a victim of his own unfortunate self destructive lifestyle, pushed by a sadistic unscrupulous alpha. Valentino, is heir apparent to a mafia dynasty, the Black Knives while his Father lay dying. The syndicate insists he marry an omega to prove his commitment and stability. Valentino sees Nico and feels, he will do. Nico's self preservation is aware enough to reject Valentino's offer. Their relationship is combative and hostile due to their process and it's not boring. There is a lot going on in their perspective lives, circumstances and business relationships. Never a dull moment. While they are living and surviving, they get to know each other better. Can they find firm ground on which to start a foundation? Does potential new additions help any? Good story, not easy and makes you think. Intense cover art. Well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Omega Trapped by author Beau Brown is an MM Mafia Romance with male pregnancy a heavy plot to this story. There are points I liked about this story, there is an emotional tie between Luca and Valentino at times, but then Valentino does something that makes me strongly dislike him. Since I believe that the point of a story is for the author to make you feel something I am going to say this was an okay read for me.
I have read many a dark mafia story and this one is that, but you have to give me a reason to want the main characters together. That was the struggle in this book.
Luca is scared and impregnated against his will. He is almost killed and is running for his life.
Valentino: heir to the Black Knives Mafia, gives such mixed signals he is hot he is cold; he is ruthless, he is a scary mate.
Overall, a good read, not a great one, but I found it to be a good one. Personally, not a book I would re-read cause I like my romance more consistently than this story provides.
